An excellent hotel right across from Malagueta beach , we had a great sea view room.Easy walking distance to the marina and old town. Also enjoyed walking along the promenade every morning. We enjoyed it so much we are returning in February 2025 .Would recommend staying here.

I stayed for 2 weeks in a Penthouse Apartment, with terrace and square views (windows) on the “Plaza de la Constitucion”. Lodgingmalaga building is one of the oldest buildings in the Plaza (built 1890, renovation 2018). It is a charming and family friendly accommodation (14 apartments over 4 floors). The location is simply “SUPER” central, with Calle Marqués de Larios, just round the corner. My apartment (45 sm) was spacious & comfortable. The interior has a rustic touch with oversized light shades to add glamour, the bed was comfortable with clean bedsheets. The bathroom was clean, with strong water pressure of the shower head. WiFi was very good, all day, every day. I really liked David Lance travel size set (shampoo/conditioner/shower gel), with Argan Oil, which was delicately pleasant. Cleaning and “change of sheets and towels”, are included every 3-4 days. Helena was super friendly and super helpful upon check in. Guillermo & Helena were prompt in replying to emails. . A few notes for coming guests to Lodgingmalaga “Plaza de la Constitucion”:- . The plaza is pedestrianized and can be accessed by a 4-seater “Official Taxi” ONLY (dropped at main door). No other cars are allowed access. . The Penthouse apartment, with terrace (45 square meters) is located on the 4th floor, accessible by stairs ONLY. You can use the lift up to the 3rd floor, then you have to carry your luggage, one more floor. . Finally, do bring slippers, bathrobe & shower cap (with you, if needed). . Generally, the location is the biggest “WOW” factor and surely the lovely apartment. . I will be coming back, in the future for a longer stay.

Room was very clean, modern coffee machine, good shower and excellent breakfast, balcony and air conditioning, a perfect stay!

Hotel location is excellent, it’ located in the heard of tourist area. Hotel room is clean, big enough to open 2 of our 30” suitcases, bed and pillows are comfortable as well. All the hotel staffs are professional, helpful and super nice. i highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Malaga.

Room was small but comfortable, quiet, and very clean. Location in the old town was terrific. The staff were friendly and helpful, and added so many personal touches- a handwritten welcome card, a personalized note on the mirror, and cookies! I also appreciated that coffee and breakfast were available downstairs. I would stay here again.

Location is good, near the centro and many eating places. Airport bus is just a few minutes walk away. Train station is also whin walking distance. Bathroom is clean and basic. No drying water is provided

Muy buena situación, a dos pasos de todo. Habitación amplia, limpia, colchón muy cómodo, secador y gel en el cuarto de baño. Hay nevera, conexiones USB para cargar el móvil. Dispone de ascensor aunque el algunas páginas diga lo contrario. Se agradece que pongan a tu disposición un hervidor y caja de infusiones surtidas gratis. Lo mejor, el personal de recepción, se merecen un 10. No hay recepción las 24 h por lo que si tienes algún problema (te roben o pierdas la llave o algun problema técnico) y no se pueda abrir la puerta no sé cómo se podría entrar porque no vi ningún número para urgencias, lo mismo existe pero yo no lo encontré.

In the end of April and beginning of May we, a couple, spent altogether 5 nights in Malagas Casa de la Merced Suites. The first part, 27 April to 29 April, had been booked through ***********, and the second part, 6 May to 9 May, was booked directly from the hotel. It can be said that the first part of two nights cost us €165, and the second part was much more expensive, with €330 for three nights. The hotel has an outstanding location, very central to bars and restaurants. It is an old building that is now refurbished. It can be a bit noisy at night from the street, which we noticed, as we had a studio facing the street the first two nights. The second time we had a smaller room at a higher price. At the back of the building, near the cleaner's room, and facing the back of a church. You could say the standard of the smaller room didn't match the price. It was much quieter but much darker. The first things that had to be fixed in this second ròom was the electricity, and the curtains. The dark curtains keeping the lights out at night on one of the two windows were missing. Fixed by the kind cleaning lady. She also fixed the missing cloth bands that should keep the curtains apart in the daytime. The table for eating was difficult to sit at, being blocked by an old second fridge placed under the table. Which we ourselves were forced to place in the hallway. Actually, I've seen one review from 12 March, saying it was already there in the room. We were told the second room was for disabled persons, and the shower was big, but with non-functioning sliding doors, not closing. A lot of water runs out after showering. The cleaning was somewhat non-functioning. We were told it could happen only after 3 days, so we had none. There was not even any cleaning tools/brooms for us to use. Generally, the bed mattresses were a little on the soft side. And the second room was definitely a little uncomfortable, with a TV that was turned away from the bed. There was very little storage space, only an open shelf. Well, we paid for a superior apartment and found that for the low comfort, it was a rip-off. We were told there was no other room to get. The free minibar in the reception area was a good thing. But breakfast does not exist in this place. When it comes to the persons working in the hotel, we found the cleaning lady to be very kind. But the reception staff were not so pleasant, or welcoming.

Stayed here 3 nights and would recommend it if you want to stay in a well-run hostel that's comfortable and where you can get a good night's sleep. Positives are that the hostel is modern, well designed, nice guests and slept really well - the bedding and towels are excellent, plus the bunk beds have curtains which is great for privacy and to block out light. Could be improved if the main showers were not push button but there is another shower available that is not timed. First impressions were that the common area is quite small but it's practical enough and there is enough space to hang out here. Would be nice if free tea and coffee was provided. If you want a good value hostel with nice atmosphere and don't mind walking 10 minutes to the historical center this is a good option.
