Such an amazing friendly family that run these apartments, George, Ingrid, Elias and Anna could not do enough for you. Not forgetting the lovely Christina on the bar during the day, her breakfast is a must. The pool is lovely and inviting with plenty of sunbeds on the terrace along with a pool table in the dining area at the rear of the bar.

Great studio apartments . Loved our stay at Melissa apartments ,nice location and quiet away from the ***** of Malia but still closed enough to walk . Christine behind the bar is very helpful and always helpful with a chat and service was second to none. Her breakfasts and snacks are amazing too We had a lovely time .

Lovely quiet place to stay. Bar/Swimming pool nice and chill. Reasonable prices. Cristina is a lovely person who works behind the bar during the day!!! She’s so sweet. We enjoyed staying here. Nice and friendly. Thank you everyone , we hope to see you again when we return to Crete.

What can I say? Fabulous family holiday!! Wonderful family run apartments. We stayed in the old block close to the pool and bar and our 2 apartments were spacious and with everything we needed. They were clean and we had a problem with the plumbing in our boys apartment which was sorted out immediately. The family couldn’t have been more welcoming whilst not intruding. They were always there to chat and gave useful information about the island. In short, I cannot recommend Melissa Apartments highly enough

The service in this hotel is shocking, on the first night we were unable to have aircon due to the manager explained the next morning he couldn’t be bothered to wait up because we had been delayed 20 minutes. We had also noticed our room being infested with ants and when we voiced our concern we was shocked at bug spray being left outside of our door waiting for us to do it ourselves before we go to sleep, despite the manager explaining the cleaners will do it when we are out during the day as the chemicals are toxic. As well as the bug spray being left outside our door, a dust pan and brush was also left outside our door, as if expecting us to clean our room. Not only this our bed sheets and towels were only changed once since being here and the room it’s self such as the floor were never cleaned or hoovered . On the day we was leaving we was told less than a half an hour that we need to check out at 12 and was refused a meter checkout even when offering to pay. We was advised to leave our cases in the reception that has no one around as the pool bar is where the staff dealt with everything, which left us concerned for the safety of our suitcases and our belongings, this also had a shower room which we thought was useful until we was rudely refused towels and arrogantly told we would have to pay to use fresh towels even though we had been told to leave the room at 12pm and this was at 5pm so we never thought to take the towels out of the room before we checked out, bearing in mind the towels in our hotel room were dirty due to not being changed. overall, the hotel establishment looked nice to the eye and the pool and bar establishment was decent, it’s just a shame that the service made our experience a hassle and less enjoyable than we thought and payed for.

Just got back from a week at Melissa apartments and have to admit when we arrived we did feel old as were at least 3 times older than most of the other guests but it didn’t matter. The hotel is perfectly located on the edge of the old town where there are plenty of tavernas with a great choice of fantastic food and also a few minutes walk to the ‘*****’ which explains all the younger guests. The family that own/ run the hotel live in the premises and do an amazing job catering for all the different guests. Our room was large with a lovely modern bathroom and a balcony big enough for a table, chairs and a drying rack. The kitchen was small had everything we needed for our self catering week although we ate most meals out. We did choose to pay for the air con (€7) per day which was essential due to the heat and it worked very well. The pool area was kept spotless (as was the rooms) and there was never a problem getting sun beds or a race to put towels out. There is an outdoor bar offering hot food, coffee and alcohol and all reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again, location is great, very clean and lovely family running it.

The staff there are the nicest people you will meet we didn’t have a bad experience in that hotel, the security guard would come over and ask about our evening out, we stayed in the the building on the other side of the road what was AMAZING mr and my friends had the bottom floor and one took upstairs. It was always clean and tidy

Wow! What a gem in the heart of Malia Old Town. We picked this place because of location and the good reviews it had. On arrival the entrance looked super cute, clean and welcoming. We visited as a family of 4, mum and dad, the oldies 😀 and our 2 sons aged 20 and 22. Location was perfect, in the beautifully rustic and authentic old town and like a 3 minute walk to the top of 'the *****'. We were met by the friendliest lady, Christina (forgive me if that's not the spelling!) Who gave us the warmest of welcomes, she took our details etc and then we were passed onto another lady (sorry I didn't catch your name, I just know that you are Ilyas's sister) she explained everything and gave us our keys. We had a double room 204 and a twin room 205 The rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean. They are self catering apartments, although we were B&B, and there is everything you could need to cook meals if you chose to. We were not there to cook so can't comment on the equipment. Hairdryer and kettle provided which we did use along with a big airer on the balcony. There was bkack out curtains so there was very little light in the room in the morning and much needed for a good sleep. The rooms were cleaned daily and given fresh towels. This is a family run hotel and we were welcomed by every member of the family, always being asked of our plans, about our evenings and given good advice on the local area, tavernas and places to go. Being B&B board basis we could have breakfast (or another snack) prepared for us up until 3pm in the afternoon which was perfect as our boys had late nights at the ***** most nights and therefore didn't wake up very early! I have never known anywhere to be so accommodating with such lovely service. The drinks and snacks/meals very reasonably priced at the bar and all food was cooked fresh as you ordered it. We were always treated with respect, more like a part of their family, it was very interesting chatting to the staff and hearing all about their lives, thank you all so much for being so hospitable! I really cannot recommend this hotel enough and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to Malia. Some points on the old town, we ate some wonderful restaurants in the old town which were recommended by the staff at hotel and none of them disappointed, San Georgio Restaurant, Odas Taverna, Petrino Gardens, Nostimo and Elizabeth & Stablos Restaurant which was my absolute favourite 😍 I wouldn't recommend Malia beach as you were packed in like sardines but would highly recommend getting the bus to Stalida (Stalis) beach which was much nicer and you had much more room. Stayed here for one night in Malia after booking the worst hotel I have ever seen. Walking into this hotel put a bright smile on my face and uplifted my vibe. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming. Best experience I had on this holiday and would recommend to anyone!!!
