Primavera Beach Hotel Studios & Apartments

Greeted by very friendly staff on arrival with a cocktail and some info about the area. Shown to room which had three single beds. I asked if we could change to a room with a double bed but was told there were none as this is a “lads holiday” hotel and they don’t want to share a bed. No soap in the bathroom so had to purchase straight away. Hotel falsely advertised free WiFi but we had to pay €75 cash only for this, city tax and to use the fan. The walls are absolutely paper thin and you could almost hear your neighbours brushing their teeth. The door badly needed fixing and had to be practically slammed to close it. The shower was lukewarm at best and absolutely freezing at worst. Hotel also seem to have used a few fake photos of the pool and exterior. I felt I got a bit of attitude after complaining about the cold water. Checkout is 12pm which is fair enough but the hotel has absolutely no facilities to shower or change in privacy which is normally a given. We were told we could shower at the pool and change in the public toilet. I would actually rather change out in the middle of the street rather than set foot in the toilet. We had left our cases in the defunct reception room as instructed but staff walked in on us changing twice despite knowing we were in there. I did think the staff were nice (prior to checkout) but they have no clue how to run a business or basic customer service. The only part I enjoyed about this holiday was when we were away from the hotel. It was not a comfortable or relaxing place to be. Never ever again!!

I inadvertantly booked this place because I liked the look of the pool area on Jet2 website and the price was right! Didn't spot the vibe ad and the map showed it as being away from the clubs, close to the beach and plenty of restaurants around. When we arrived we were met by Yannis, who gave us a welcome drink of a fruit cocktail. He even took both suitcases to the room. Once he had given us the basics and we had unpacked, we went and had 1 or 2 cold sherbets. The room we had been given was a modest size, with 3 beds set out as a single and double. Firm and with clean sheets, just lovely! There was a wardrobe with some hangers, to which Yannis gave us a few more when asked. The shower curtain was a bit of a mare, as it stuck to your butt when having a shower! But we managed. There was a kettle, bits of crockery for 3, cutlery the same and even a toaster! Small fridge and air con. The squeeze had her own hairdryer, so not a problem. There was a safety box in the wardrobe, but as usual we didn't bother. Out the door,left, and down to the pool area. It was shared with the apartments next door, but there was plenty of space and beds to go round, while we were there. The bar had plenty to drink, there was food to be had too! All the staff here were very friendly towards us. The biggest thing we found though, considering that the tax was only 20 euros, was that housekeeping were in and changing the sheets every other day! Excellent! We had towels a plenty, toilet rolls and the paper bin went too! All in all we had a wonderful 2 weeks in and around the place.

I stayed at the Primavera Beach with 3 friends at the start of September 2024 and we had the most amazing time! We were offered a welcome drink on arrival which was delicious and the perfect start to our holiday. The location was perfect - close enough to the ***** to get there within just a few minutes walk but also far enough so that it was quiet at night time. The rooms were relatively basic but more than sufficient and excellent value for the price we paid. Pool area was nice with plenty of sunbeds and a poolside bar and although it is shared with the hotel next door it never felt crowded or hectic. The breakfast is fantastic with plenty of choices for all tastes and hunger levels, and also well worth the money. All staff members we spoke to were incredibly helpful and friendly - special mention to Yannis and Victoria who were both lovely. The only minor drawback was that the shower did not hook properly and so resulted in the floor getting soaked after use, but this was not a huge issue and could be easily managed. Overall a brilliant place to stay for a lads/girls holiday, highly recommend!

Great location and apartments. We came as a group of 5 girls and absolutely loved the holiday. We really enjoyed the hotel bar in the evening particularly, music was great and song requests were played! The staff were so friendly particularly Yiannis and Alex. Very chatty, great customer service and and they would go above and beyond to ensure you had the best time. Great guys, 10/10 service, and unreal cocktails and drinks :)

I’m just returning from the loveliest week as a solo traveller, 45 year old female at Primavera. I’d never been to malia before and as a solo female felt safe in a busy environment with big groups of younger lads and lasses. Upon arrival the bar area was busy with music and I got a welcome drink, then shown to my room and how to use everything and bits of general info about the apartments. ROOMS. Room was spot on very clean perfect size lovely bathroom with all amenities required. Fridge also kept the water and milk absolutely freezing cold! AIRCON was outstanding and went absolutely freezing if you wanted to change the settings with the remote control. BALCONY was small but had table chairs and clothes dryer and I could see the sea from my room. FOOD. Food was spot on for the price aswell. The pork gyros and chips were 5 euro and were lovely! Everything else I tried was also great and very well priced. The kitchen was also super clean you could see it when you walked past, gleaming stainless steel, POOL, pool area is great, music on daily and a good bar and seats for eating pool area is cleaned properly each day the pool is shared with next door but you can’t really tell you can sit anywhere and it doesn’t get very busy, as most people don’t get up till dinner time so it’s very peaceful most of the day. LOCATION. It is in the PERFECT location right at the beach next to some really cool beach bars and everything is in walking distance it’s right on the ***** but can’t hear any noise and there is so many shops, pharmacy, places to eat, bars, clubs, medical centre, it’s all 2 minute walk. It’s only a 15 walk to the old town which is beautiful and has some really fab places to eat. Every single place I ate and drank had the most amazing service, excellent prices, lovely local wines and amazing food. I couldn’t believe the standard of food and service in places for how cheap it all was. Last but not least the STAFF, wow! You will not find more helpful, friendly group of staff anywhere you go, amazing amazing people, amazing! The owners are wonderful and you call tell they are good people for how happy all their staff are, I do have to shout out to Andrei at the pool bar, he looked after me big time and was a friendly face each day usually trying to wind me up, and Alex and Yannis who are simply brilliant. Absolutely experts at their job at such a young age can hold an excellent conversation and have a right laugh. If you are going to Malia then look no further than Primavera.

we had the best experience at this hotel, it was perfect for the holiday experience that we wanted. the staff are so lovely and make you feel so welcome, every night we came to the bar before going out and it was our favourite part of the night!! we will definitely be coming back especially because we loved every person that worked here - yiannis and alex always made an effort to speak to us and everyone that stayed here. danny the security was also lovely and always made sure we were ok when we came in and out of the hotel. we can’t wait to come back
