Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos All Inclusive

This hotel was really really lovely, there were just a few things that stopped it being perfect. First of all the positives: The whole place feels very new and very clean. It all feels very luxurious and exclusive. The reception, restaurants, pools and villas are all beautiful. The staff are lovely, very friendly and seem eager to help. The restaurant staff are very attentive. The glass of cava whilst checking in was very welcome. The golf carts to get you around are great - I loved them. The room was spacious, plenty of wardrobe space and the aircon worked a treat. Food was delicious. Adults only pool. They man the pools, if your towel is on the sun loungers longer than 45 mins they are removed - stops any hogging of loungers early in the morning or throughout the day. Very family friendly, lots of babies whilst I was there. Beach at the bottom of the resort. And the bits that mean it isn’t quite perfect: The room I stayed in was an upgrade, but the bathroom didn’t have a proper door. This meant that every time someone went to the toilet you could hear, and smell, everything. The room doesn’t really have a changing area. I was on holiday with a friend, we could have done with a curtain or a door on the bathroom to be able to change etc. The rooms have big mirrors so its tricky to get changed without revealing all to everyone. Whilst there is a large selection of food for meat eaters and vegetarians, they had vegan bolognaise every night. Breakfast was even more limited. Very disappointing. Whilst they have an adults only pool with a member of staff there, they didn’t stop people bringing their young children into the pool. Whilst it wasn’t too much of a problem when I was there as it was mainly babies, I would hope in school holidays they would police it better to stop the pool being full of older children. There were often flies on the food. They could do with fly nets on the doors or net cloches over some of the food.

Amazing hotel with the best food (we had about 4 plates of food each, that is how amazing the food was) and excellent staff. I especially liked when we were sunbathing at the pool and animators were dancing all around plus we got some sangria. If you are planning to come make sure to make a reservation at the Mexican beach house restaurant.

Positives Superior Beach level bungalow The room was spacious and well placed for evening entertainment, a quiet pool, gym, and shop. Buggy all day for get around the hotel and it is very hilly. Mexican restaurant by entertainment area was tasty. Cons The room was not as clean as we expected. Then it wasn't cleaned for the second day. When we approached management, it was finally cleaned properly on the 3rd day of our very short break. In fact, it smelled and was cleaner than we arrived. Pool areas are dirty. Maybe the main pool is better maintained than the deep pool. The deep pool area is disgusting. The tables and chairs are not collected at night, and the whole area is cleaned like in other hotels. Entertainment bar The floor is dirty and never cleaned around the sofa areas. A glass broke the night we arrived. The small shard of glass was still there 3 nights into the holiday. Dirty glasses left everywhere most evenings. There was still a couple there the next day. The food in the snack bar by deep pool is left out in the open. U have pigeons, mosquitos, and flies, all helping themselves. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed in.

This is our second time at this hotel and I simply have to say that we love it! The hotel is 4 stars, but the service cannot be compared to other 4 star hotels I have been to in Mallorca. In any part of the hotel, you will find every worker wanting to help you with whatever you need. The food is good, it is fresh and there is always variety and in case you are missing something, you will always find someone who wants to help you so that your experience is better. All the workers are always willing to help you, but especially Teresa from guest services and Pablo and Marco from the bar make your days fantastic. I went alone with my 9 year old daughter and my 5 year old son and they felt very comfortable every time Teresa was near the Lobby. They felt very comfortable with her and that made my children's experience much better. At the bar Pablo and Marco always helped us so that my children had their drinks the way they liked them the most. The restaurant near the beach is very nice at dinner time, but it is also very cozy during the day before going to the beach. One week was too short for us so we hope to return for more days next year. At this hotel you can enjoy nature, the beach, and wonderful staff. It is simply perfect!

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, excellent value for all inclusive with decent cocktails and food as well as included activities like mini golf, tennis, ping pong, exercise classes and entertainment. Short walk to the beach. The site is quite large and hilly but if you don’t fancy walking there were regular golf carts that would run you up and down, never waited more than 5 mins for an available one!

My family and I decided to go away for my wife's 40th birthday, we spent many hours looking over reviews and finally found Cala domingos. On arrival we were amazed by the resort and were very impressed by how clean it was, however within half an hour of walking of arrival our son slipped over by the pool, the floor tiles are Very slippery. I saw several people slip over during our stay and turned a blind eye but really it's appalling They have put down slippery floor signs and believe this is to encourage you to walk cautiously so you won't slip . We did exactly that for the rest of the holiday until the last day where I slipped on the pool tiles and knocked myself out. THE MAIN POOL IS DANGEROUS. I ended up being taken by ambulance to hospital and having 8 stitches in my face. I had to have a CT scan to check for a bleed on the brain and see if I could even fly home the next day. Since returning we haven't had any sort of compensation or reassurance that the pool side has been made safe , this is evidently because it hasn't been made safe. I have seen other reviews since saying people have fallen over and been to hospital. On return from the hospital the manager asked us to go to the reception for a discussion and to see how I was. I queried the tiles and being in construction know that they aren't riven and safe for a pool side. she said that they knew they were a problem and that they were looking into fixing it, yet I see today that someone else has had a similar experience, this is appalling. I could have died after such a fall. I had concussion symptoms for three weeks afterwards, 3 weeks of lost earnings plus numerous GP and A&E visits as the concussion was so serious and am left with a permanent scar to my face. I contacted easy jet holidays who said the hotel were handling it and OBVIOUSLY they aren't . Until this point we had had a great holiday but obviously this tarnished it. This happened on the last day of our holiday which happened to be my wife's 40th birthday so ruined her birthday as well. Easyjet holidays tried to offer me £120 as a good will gesture which feels like a kick in the teeth aswell . My wife had an awful birthday, my 6 year old son saw me covered in blood and he still talks about it . Worst holiday of all time for us . DONT STAY HERE, IT'S A HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARD
