Very average for a 4-star hotel. My flight arrived a little late so I called them in the afternoon itself and told them to hold my room with a queen bed specifically... but when I arrived they gave me a room with two single beds. As a tall person, it was very hard to sleep. They only switched me to a new room the next day when I insisted the next day. There was no bell hop when I arrived, I had to carry my own luggage to my room. Nobody to point me in the direction of the room also. Also when checking out, the doorman was missing. I had to hold the heavy luggages in one hand on the other hand hold the open the door before it closed. It was a hassle. The people in the front desk can be more friendly and smiling. Lastly, the food was quite good but some items were missing. I wanted to to order pasta but they said that all italian dishes were unavailable even though they had it on the menu. Also, they ran out of most of their food in the breakfast buffet in the morning. You have to come early otherwise most of the food will be gone. They don't have enough for every guest. Many items like chicken sausages, veg cutlets, muffins, etc., were missing. Not even one piece was there. I expect better from a 4 star hotel. It was an average experience.

Location was perfect. Hotel is located quite conveniently next to the city train station. We availed breakfast at the hotel and it was absolutely delicious but the quantity was limited unfortunately. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the ac unit worked flawlessly to keep the room nice and cool. On the flip side, the accessibility for seniors or people with leg or knee problems left a lot to be desired. The few flights of stairs have no hand rails and the entire entrance was slippery due to rain. This is a big safety hazard. The hotel neighborhood has a lot of active construction going on which made it very noisy in the day time. The tv was non functional and while we requested assistance it took a long time for the staff to come and take a look. Finally, the lobby raked off cigarette smoke throughout the day. While the room itself was free from the smell of tobacco this left me with a severe headache. Overall this contributed to an average experience.

My stay at Vivanta Mangalore was generally pleasant. The room had a lovely ambiance, offering a comfortable and relaxing space, and the hotel itself was impeccably maintained—neat, clean, and organized. However, there were a few aspects that fell short of our expectations. One disappointment was that the gym was under construction, so we couldn’t access it during our stay. The breakfast menu offered a good variety, but unfortunately, the donuts were not fresh and seemed undercooked. Our first experience at the hotel, however, was a frightening one. Upon checking in, we were given a room card that needed to be tapped in the elevator to access our room on the fourth floor. No one informed us about the process, and it appeared that the card was not properly activated. As we tried tapping it multiple times, the elevator suddenly began to jolt, and a loud emergency alert sounded. The lights went out, and we found ourselves stuck inside with no clear cell signal. We immediately tried the emergency phone within the elevator, but no one answered. As minutes passed, our anxiety grew, and we even began shouting for help. After about five minutes of waiting in darkness, the elevator finally opened on the first floor. We went directly to the reception to report the issue. However, rather than addressing our concerns, the staff brushed off the incident. They simply escorted us to our room using another lift, and we noticed that a technician was later working to repair the faulty elevator. This incident was genuinely unsettling, and the indifferent response from the staff left us feeling unheard and concerned about the hotel’s safety measures.

Great hotel, with customer centric staff at all levels. Room quality is also very good. I have used this facility before & will continue doing so, whenever i visit mangalore in the future.

Best hotel & hospitality, staffs are very friendly. From the moment we entered to the day of our check out it was absolutely genuine and genius. The way they took care of every guest from the breakfast to till check out is truly appreciated. Definetly we will visit again

I had the pleasure of visiting Mangalore on the 17th of October 2023, where I was greeted with a warm welcome despite my late arrival at night after a 12-hours long journey. One of the first things that captured my attention was a stunning wall-to-wall mural behind the front office desk. This remarkable artwork vividly depicted the cultural heritage of Karnataka, featuring Kola performances, Kambala races, and other local traditions that have gained recent pan-India popularity thanks to the movie ”Kantara.” It served as a captivating introduction to the exciting experiences that awaited me during my stay. Let's talk about the accommodation. The rooms were tastefully appointed and impeccably clean. I particularly appreciated the Skylight Suites, which, while lacking a balcony, featured a beautifully decorated and spacious sitting area with a skylight adjacent to the main room. This clever design made the room feel more expansive. However, it's worth mentioning that the washrooms could benefit from better ventilation. In terms of dining, the food was satisfactory, but I would suggest diversifying the menu to include more vegetarian options to cater to a wider range of preferences. Now, let me highlight the standout feature of my stay – the in-house transportation services provided by the hotel. They operated with exceptional efficiency, boasting well-maintained and spotlessly clean vehicles. The chauffeurs were not only punctual but also displayed the utmost professionalism. I must give a special commendation to Mr. Balraj, who not only ensured our smooth transport to the temples we had planned to visit but also offered valuable insights into darshan durations. His willingness to take us to additional temples during our journeys, such as the Mariamman Temple in Mangalore, Rajarajeshwari Temple in Polali, Bappanadu Parameshwari Temple in Mulki, and Uchchila Maha Lakshmi on the way to Udupi (and possibly more that I can't recall at the moment) was truly exceptional. His knowledge of cultural immersion opportunities, especially during Navratris, was remarkable, and he even introduced us to experiences like the Yakshagana performance at Kadri Manjunatheswar. As my trip had a strong focus on pilgrimage, his insights into these sacred places were invaluable. His careful and considerate approach as a driver was exemplary. Not once did he engage in rash driving, even in the challenging and treacherous forested, mountainous routes that we encountered. Furthermore, Mr. Balraj's helpful nature shone brightly throughout our journey. With my elderly parents accompanying me, his assistance was greatly appreciated. He went above and beyond to ensure their comfort and well-being, offering his support at every turn. His unwavering dedication to both our safety and enjoyment of the trip made him an indispensable part of our experience. Mr. Balraj truly embodies the spirit of excellence in service. The room i got was very small and had a huge bed which took up all the space in the room. There was barely any place to walk around the room or navigate. The utilities were clean and well maintained. But the hotel did not offer any room service for ordering food. We had to order through swiggy. The guests who took the adjoining room made a lot of noise while talking and kept banging the room door as they entered exited. The category of people staying in this hotel didn't meet my expectations.

Newly renovated, well furnished premium category hotel with reasonable pricing. Nice view from the hotel (highway view). Staffs are very cooperative and gentle. peaceful ambience. recommended for couples too.
