Great dinner together with the other guests, plus the bushbabies and zebra's, on outdoor deck. Owners are passionate animal lovers and are interested in your experiences. Indoor sitting is nicely decorated, including several couches. Outdoor deck with We had a nice room upstairs.

This is a wonderful lodge with excellent service. It was a very comfortable stay, where everything was provided. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious, all our taste preferences were taken into account. It felt like we came to visit friends, the staff creates such a cozy atmosphere! I also really liked that giraffes, warthogs, antelopes and other cute animals roam freely around the lodge. In addition to accommodation, we took morning, evening and full-day game drives, which the lodge helped us organize. Everything was great, we met all the African Five. Also a must-see is the Panorama route, which is conducted by a very nice guide. We would really like to come back here again. Warm wishes to the whole team from Russia-Uzbekistan

I’ve heard people talk about Safari Magic... now I know what they mean. In August 2024 I stayed at Needles Lodge on what was the most incredible 10 day yoga safari retreat. Denis, Gail, Lyn, Phil and the welcoming team at Needles hosted our group, alongside Neil Urry of @soulsanctuarysafaris, our yoga, meditation and safari guide. Neil and the Needles team have created a truly magical experience, infused by their own passion and love for South Africa, and its unbelievable wildlife, entwined with the nurturing practise of yoga. Kruger Park is breathtaking. Experiencing the full day and sunset safari game drives, and guided walks, with their experienced and knowledgeable crew, made every experience unique and captivating. Marloth Park itself offers a haven of wildlife and birdlife, a sanctuary right at your footstep. We would wake up to the sounds of the animals and be greeted by Zebra, Giraffe’s, Kudu and many others magnificent creatures throughout the day, it was delightful, you never quite knew what beauty would present itself next. The Needles team made us feel so welcome, not to forget the loveable masterchef’s who would break into song at any given moment. We were constantly spoilt by their effortless hospitality, sharing stories of the day's sightings at a beautifully appointed dinner table by candlelight, on the deck, under the stars, with a menu that was a foodie’s delight constantly changing and catering for everyone’s tastes. The rooms were well appointed also with gorgeous views, we had everything we needed and would want on a safari adventure. If you are seeking a totally immersive experience in nature where you forget about everything aside from what’s right in front of you - this is for you, a well thought out and honed experience with a perfect blend of activities and down time, tranquil and peaceful, exhilarating and inspiring. We where there with our kids ( 18 and 21 year ) and had a beautiful time. The rooms were nice and the team is also very friendly. It was also very nice to eat together with all the people on one big table. It is also a good Place to go to the parks and to see the big 5. Thank you for the wonderfull time.

We had such a lovely stay in Needles Lodge! The rooms, the foods, the wildlife and the staff were unforgettable! We arrived and enjoyed a GT on the deck for refreshing in the room (bath!). Then we had a joint dinner with an excellent choice of wines and nice company. We enjoyed a great night sleep and a full day safari with guide Bertie (booked via Needles) in the Kruger Park. We saw a lot of wild animals. Oh yeah, at breakfast we had the Giraffes passing the lodge. Amazing place to stay!! PS: Thank you Lyn for staying up late for us to watch the Dutch Soccer team!

Needles Lodge felt like a home away from home! The staff were so knowledgeable and helpful, the rooms spacious, with very comfortable beds and pillows. Amazing food every meal, catered all food tolerances and preferences. An amazing wine choice and tasty gins. Beautiful alfresco area with pool, relaxing as the local wildlife came right up to the low balconies. The main group living area was full of comfy nooks and tonnes of great reading material. All in all a magical experience! Denis, Gail, Lyn and Phil with all the beautiful ladies preparing the meals and cleaning made us feel totally welcome.

Had the adventure of a lifetime on a Safari Yoga Retreat staying at Needles lodge in Marloth Park. Yoga on the deck surrounded by zebra and kudu is just an incredible experience. The lodge's accommodation is clean and comfortable and the freshly prepared meals are out of this world! All the staff are so happy, friendly and attentive. Denis is a wonderful knowledgeable host and Lyn and Philip ensure everyone is well catered for and everyone's needs are met. Absolutely recommend Needles Lodge - perfect holiday. Thank you Needles.

We stayed for 10 nights and had a wonderful stay. Lyn and the team are exceptional. Beautiful service, amazing meals and comfortable rooms. There were lots of animals nearby which we loved seeing and being close to. Close to a beautiful river, and Kruger.

We received a very warm welcome at Needles Lodge. The room and bathroom were comfortable, the location just beautiful. Having dinner together with the other guests and the owners was great fun and excellent meals have been prepared for us. Great experience!

I have just completed a four night stay at Needles lodge and have had a great time. The rooms are spotless and authentically African and are cleaned daily. Dennis and his team are super friendly and interactive throughout the full stay and they also have extensive knowledge of the local environment. The evening meal was 3 courses each night was of a high standard every night. All of the guests sat together to eat on the outside decking which was a really nice touch and gave us a chance to interact and get to know each other.

From the very beginning to the very end, Needles Lodge was Brilliant. Everyone working there was beautiful- friendly, professional and so, so helpful. I went on a yoga safari trip but hope to take the family in the future! It is the only place to stay! So safe, so clean , impeccable service, delicious meals and a fabulous array of amazing wine. Stayed and booked all the game drives with Needles Lodge. And had the best time the Lodge is amazing and the value for money is insane. The drives were well arranged and we loved and saw so much! The food at the love is another LEVEL! 100% recommended

Excellent service in all aspects. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. High quality menu. The staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The deck and pool were great to relax by with the animals coming right up to the fence. It really is like the picture! All of the trips planned went well and the packed lunches catered or everyone's need. Nothing but 5 star service all the way.

The staff were amazing (especially Phil and Lynne) and the food was delicious great amenities and the safari tours were awesome. Drivers and staff knew so much about Africa, the animals and history which enhanced the experience even further than I imagined. I highly recommend staying at needles.
