We returned from the Riad last night with our children after a 4 night stay. We really enjoyed our stay. We wanted a Traditional stay in Marrakech to give our children the opportunity to see the county and experience it properly. The Riad is in a great location, it can be very confusing at first trying to navigate but it’s all part of the experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was predominantly bread which isn’t for me but there was always fruit and yogurt and plenty of coffee to start your day. The rooms were cleaned daily, obviously it is not a modern hotel so you do need to bare this in mind but it is charming, traditional and a very lovely Riad. Also, once the doors are shut it is so quite which we found amazing. Slept well every night. I would advise doing some research or checking with your holiday agent regarding the city tax. We had a slight issue but this was sorted. Marrakesh itself is very busy. If you choose to take children, keep to the right when walking as there are bikes and scooters constantly, the souks can seem a little intimidating at first but you do get used to it. There are monkeys in the square which are very cute but if they jump on you and you take a picture (which they insist you do) be prepared to pay. They demanded 200 but we gave less and it did frighten the children a little as it was quite intense. We would definitely return to Marrakesh, it was a whole different world and some much to do and see. Thank you for our stay.
