Riad Manissa

I used this riad on October 27th. First of all, the hotel staff was very kind and made me feel at home!! Although I was alone, I didn't feel lonely at all the space was warm and relaxing :) And there was an earthquake, but there's no problem. The city was lively and had a lot of fun!!!

The location is great, walking distance to pretty much all of the main attractions in the Medina. However, getting there by taxi cab be a problem, so you should either walk or take a tuktuk. In addition, I'm not sure the riad is trying to save on electricity bills but then basically never turned on their lights, which is both a tripping hazard because you just can't see where you are stepping, but also fails to make the place feel cozy. It was also very cold indoors. There weren't any activities at the riad either, which is a pity. The night staff was great and always helpful and willing to help, but it shocked me that I had to go out in the middle of the night to buy water because they just didn't have any (to sell), which confirmed my suspicion that they used tap water for the tea and the (instant) coffee (which is also a health risk for guests who are not used to it and could well get sick), as I could hear them in the kitchen preparing it. On that note, what's with the butter rationing? They wouldn't serve you butter unless you asked for it... It's also important to mention that the bathrooms only have a saloon door, so no privacy (I had to use the shared bathroom on the first floor, which is the only one that has a door). Overall, not a bad place but lacking in consistency and management seems to have lost interest to make it appealing.

Wonderful little Riad perfectly located for us 3 women from Berlin, Lisbon and Austin/Texas, whose main concern was safety and easy access! Perfect location from the Place des Ferblantiers and the best shopping experience, good and affordable little restaurants, and above all the great staff, mostly Si Youssef, so competent and helpful, so welcoming! Choukrane, Si Youssef! We were spoiled every morning with a delicious and generous breakfast, alternating Moroccan specialties. The rooms are spacious and the bedding left nothing to be desired. We’re so happy about chosing Riad Manissa! We’ll be back!

We were very happy about our stay in Riad Manissa. The people were helpful and we received excellent service. Breakfast was good and traditional maroccon. The location was great and it was easy to go to the Mail square. We will absolutely recommend to stay here!

Fantastic location minutes walk away from the busy Marrakesh souks. We were greeted with a refreshing mint tea and allowed to relax whilst our bags were taken to our rooms for us. Sitting in the central courtyard it’s hard to believe that just minutes away there is a manic humdrum of the local souk. The room was incredible, so so clean. It was spotless and so comfortable, it was a joy to to just sit on the sofa after a refreshing shower and just chill out in the peace and quiet. The staff are incredible, they couldn’t do enough for us, sharing a mint tea, organising tours, airport pick up and drop off. Advice was given about routes around Marrakesh, places to visit and restaurants to dine in. The staff really make this Riad a great place to stay. The breakfasts were delicious, a great start to the day, all prepared on site and all local produce. Dounia and Yousif and their team will certainly make your stay one to remember. We will certainly be going to see them all again. A truly authentic Moroccan adventure.

Intense immersion au cœur de l’enchantement Caché au détour d’une ruelle en plein centre d’une cité elle-même hors du temps et à quelques mètres à pieds de la place Jemaa El Fna, le Riad Manissa est un joyau précieux où règne un paisible univers aux mille et une nuits. Nous avons été totalement conquis tant par sa décoration typiquement soignée et chaleureuse, l’hygiène irréprochable, l’espace totalement sécurisé que par l’excellence du personnel d’un niveau exceptionnel. Les chambres sont confortables et spacieuses, le petit-déjeuner est généreux et raffiné, la structure même du bâtiment appelle à l’évasion à chaque niveau. Merci de tout coeur à toute l’équipe pour l’élégance du service d’une rare qualité, maniant à la perfection un délicat équilibre entre présence active, efficacité et discrétion. Un lieu par conséquent à noter parmi les incontournables de Marrakech.

SÚPER RECOMENDABLE!!! Última noche de nuestro viaje en este Riad súper cómodo y una decoración de 10. La atención del anfitrión y el personal fue fantástico, se hicieron cargo de las maletas antes de tiempo en recepción sin ningún problema y nos resolvieron todas las dudas que teníamos. El Riad es espectacular, el patio interior con una piscina pequeña que hace mucha falta en verano, y dos terrazas. La habitación en la que dormimos era Preciosa y súper completa, con aire acondicionado y calefacción, al igual que el baño (con secador y radiador de calor). El desayuno buenísimo! Zumo natural, mermelada, mantequilla, bollería, tortilla, creeps…. La ubicación del Riad es fantástica, en plena Medina, a 5 min de la plaza y fácil de encontrar. No os lo penséis! ☺️

Absolutamente fantástico. Staff super focado no nosso bem estar. Serviço super cuidado, limpo, simpatico e acolhedor. Deram nos dicas para uma experiência superior em Marraquexe. A repetir. Os quartos eram muito bem decorados em estilo marroquino. A localização era perfeita para ir a pé a todo o lado. A piscina era a cereja no topo do bolo.
