Hotel berhampiran Mosquee Abou Bakr Sidik, Marrakech

Lovely would recommend. Cheap and cheerful. Don’t know why people are so negative about this place, I would stay here again. Clean, beds made everyday, clean towels, friendly staff. Located twenty minute walk from the square, and the souks. Off licence around the corner, which sells plenty of beer, wine and spirits. £11.00, for a bottle of wine and six beers. Highly recommended!!!

Great hotel, good value for money, friendly staff, choice of lively or quiet adult only pool, free shuttle into town for culture and shopping. Buffet food was mostly good, if a little repetitive. Would have appreciated slightly more vegetarian options

Beautiful interiors and gardens, heated pools, good breakfast with many choices but some of them were low quality, tasty Spanish restaurant. Unplesant smell in room, noisy air condition in bathroom running all time. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Staff was generally good but average if you consider expensive 5 star resort hotel.

Un excellent hôtel, juste le seule défaut serait l'emplacement un peu excentré du centre ville. Pour les personnes qui aiment la tranquillité cela est un bon emplacement.

Dirty cutlery, noisy location and poor service…. First problem, I was staying on the four floor, which was an issue as one lift was out of action and the other two lifts are unbelievably slow. The room was dark and even with the lights on difficult to see anything without the use of a torch. Thankfully my room was facing the pool as many colleagues who also had been staying complained of noise through the night from the road, obviously in rooms that had been facing the road. I still had an 8am wake up from the building site next door though. I only had breakfast at the hotel - but found the cutlery dirty and some cutlery had some sticky residue on them. Food was ok but far from the standard I had found in some of the local restaurants. At checkout I had a problem with the laundry bill, I was offered only a 5% discount on the laundry. I ended up paying in full after being threatened by the police for taking a photo of the invoice. Once in my taxi, back to the airport the taxi driver said there is always a problem with the hotel at checkout….clearly not an isolated case. The hotel did have some old charm but very much tainted by poor service, dirty cutlery and a noisy location. Avoid.

With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. Very nice central location. Small buffet selection but good food. The streets are loud at night but expected with the fairly central location. Rooms are very comfortable and feel safe and the air conditioning is very much appreciated in the summer heat.

Lovely friendly members of staff, one helped me flag down a taxi and haggle on the fare price too. The apartment had a nice layout and was quite spacious. The seating area was nothing but comfort all the way and had a TV mounted on the wall. The kitchen had a clean open finish paired with a breakfast table for 4 complete with kitchen equipment and utensil minus a microwave and kitchen paper towel. It also had an outdoor table to enjoy breakfast on the balcony, simply watching people go about their day whilst taking in the ray from the sun. The bathroom had lovely wall tiles that made the bathroom stand out and we were met with bathroom robes and lovely scented mini wash products. The bedrooms were nice too, however, the bedroom drawers could be a little higher as they were a little too low down to the ground. We loved how breakfast was presented. It was nice but on the simply side of things. It could stand to have just a little more of a verity to it as it's quite light. We loved that it came with freshly squeezed orange juice, nothing beat freshly squeezed. We had a lovely stay and we would stay with them again. We were very happy with Appart Hotel Mouna and their lovely friendly staff !

The property is as it is represented. Beautiful colors and architecture and is pristine. The staff is more impressive, which in my book is far more important. The check-in process was a little frustrating because I was cranky. The man who checked me in was unendingly patient, welcoming, friendly, and professional. He made sure I understood everything about the property and security. Quite a feat, as he speaks Arabic and French and and I do not. He gave me a tour of everything. The process for meals is lovely. This is a bed and breakfast, so an elaborate tasty breakfast is available until 1000. To eat breakfast, you let the chef know by 1600. He goes to the central market to purchase what's fresh. My dinner was delicious. The aroma wafted up to my room and brought me down to the dining area a little early. The wait staff is first rate, had perfect English, and was delightful. Know that it's a 2-3 block walk from parking areas to the property. It's an easy stroke, but something to know.

Hotel, very very clean, a bit dated but still nothing to complain about, they have 2 receptions on 2 different streets (back door, front door), back door staff absolutely lovely and welcoming, took case up to room etc, front door staff are not helpful at all, they weren't doing currency exchange until 5pm, so I asked where to get it from, and they sent me totally in wrong direction, walked for ages to find one, then few days later found 1 just round the opposite corner. they had no maps to help you, didn't give you any advice, they really didn't want to know you if you were English. WARNING to all vegetarians my friend got half board as she was a vegetarian, the menu every night are 2 choices, chicken or beef that's it, oh and if you have a bottle of water with your meal expect to pay for it !!! Breakfast was ok, boiled eggs, polony, and cheese triangles, selection of pastries, dried bread, and what can only be described as a pancake made from layers of filo pastry which you needed to tear apart and what looked like syrup next to them was actually oil YUK. But there was jam and marmalade too. AS said before the staff were extremely unhelpful and when leaving I put my case at front desk, only to be told I would be picked up at desk 2, so sat there 45 minutes and rang pick up people they were at main reception on time. They came back for me but not happy, just made my flight home in time, I would not go there again
