Check in lovely, friendly staff, explanation of candy bar and breakfast options. Bed was sub par, and this matters when your paying $2300 for four nights accomodation. Pillows were awful, terrible neck support and lumpy. Bed was hard and not comfortable, pillow top was thin like a wool blanket. Bathroom sink was tiny, and nearly unusable, hitting my face on the mirror when trying to wash face, or rinse mouth. The tilt/list on the tiles in the bathroom forced water to sit behind and around toilet bowl. Water pressure was good and hot. Lounge was nice in the room but why a 6-7 seater for a 2 person room, it’s not as though I can have guests to my room. This is a design flaw and the room should have allowed more space dedicated to the bathroom as this would be practical, there was not even a usable shelf for applying makeup or storing personal hygiene products. The mini bar restock was nice, however not everyone drinks alcohol so a non-alcoholic minibar would have been more appreciated and cheaper to hotel costs, an option to choose would have been nice. Did not go to happy hour nor opt for breakfast takeaways on the grab and go. Would I stay again, no. For the cost, comfort and the location, it is not worth it in my opinion.

Incredibly welcoming staff at all stages - check in, room service, amenities and during breakfast. Can’t rate this place highly enough - also has some brilliant restaurants and bars within. Gym is really well kitted out and 24 hours. If you’re staying in Melbourne and can stay at the W - please do it and thank me later

I was booking for Selina Central Melbourne but i get told that there are flood, so my booking has change to Selina St.Kilda. i was come so late but the staff still in receptionist. All the staff are nice. Its goof for backpacker.

Had booked studio apartment, and was upgraded to bedroom apartment with twin beds. Lovely comfortable beds with clean sheets. Large clean well equipped rooms, large bathroom with shower over spa bath, washing machine and dryer. Couch was old and maybe apartment could do with painting, but great overnight stay, very friendly welcoming and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

POSITIVES: - Location: across Flagstaff Gardens, very close to the tram stop in the free tram zone, local minimarket, cafe, chemist and only few minute ride to Queen Victoria Market, CBD shopping and attractions. We had great views from the balcony. - One bedroom apartment (King View): very spacious (with a kitchenette, living room. bedroom, bathroom with walk in shower, laundry area and balcony), modern, clean and quiet, with various jazz memorabilia. - Comfortable king size bed - Free WiFi access - Kitchen: kettle, coffee machine, fridge, microwave and oven (complementary tea and coffee pods were provided, glasses, plates and cutlery, but no pots or pans). - Washing machine and ironing facilities - Two reverse cycle A/C units: one in the living area and one in the bedroom - Two flat screen TVs - All the toiletries were provided - Late check out on request NEGATIVES: - Breakfast not included in the room price - On the hotel website, the rooms are advertised as having ” smart TVs with Netflix”, however, only after we tried to turn it on, we were informed that we had to have our own account in order to watch Netflix.

Was actually really happy with our stay, the bed was very comfy which was a surprise for a hotel. Had Netflix on the TV and a nice balcony on 3rd floor. Thought the room was very nice for the price we paid. Reception people were helpful and polite. Will definitely stay there again in the future

Pros - Great Location and Accessible to Tram - Hotel contacted me few days before stay to confirm arrival - Early check-in - Appointed larger room on 6th floor with nice furniture and fresh-looking carpet - Staff friendly - Naïma restaurant had good food for breakfast & lunch Cons - Lacking general ALL AccorPlus status recognition (no welcome item in room, drink voucher (had to ask afterwards) or breakfast inclusion - Naïma Restaurant hours limited to 7am - 2:30p (Accor website hours wrong stating 5p - 10p) - Body Wash and Shampoo dispensers empty in bathroom entire stay - Food on floor next to bed - Televisions in room limited functionality This was my second stay at hotel (first being in May 2023). My first stay, service was excellent and had a quick check-in and was given Accor status recognition at front desk verbally, upgraded room, welcome gift of wine in room, a welcome note from manager at time, breakfast and drink vouchers. I rebooked for this stay in December 2023 after such a great experience the 1st time. In short, I walked away disappointed this time and expressed as much on check-out when asked about the stay. The person at check-out stated he would let the manager know the feedback, so hopefully there is attention taken to these issues. I will start by saying staff were pleasant. The room assigned had fresh carpet and furniture. Part of the issue was a couple simple items I wanted addressed which I asked each day of stay never were addressed. I went to take a shower and found the Body Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner dispensers were empty (or not dispensing anything but a couple drips of liquid). Ended up rationing the face soap bar over my stay as there was not even the option to get little bottles. I also found a chocolate ball on floor visible next to bed. Each person I raised to said they would let housekeeping know but nothing came of it. The room had great televisions in them and had preloaded apps for Netflix, YouTube, and local channel apps. Problem is the televisions are not connected to Internet and you get an error trying to do anything. You can cast to television, but this requires you to connect to TV Wi-Fi connection. When you do this, you lose access to Internet on phone since television is not connected to Internet to pass through Internet. This made the casting mostly useless unless you have offline content to cast. I did not bother to report this as at this point, I felt like I would be bugging the hotel staff for one thing after the next. When it came to breakfast, I was told it was not included with stay which was a surprise from previous stay where they automatically issued me vouchers for my status. This was a first not having included as platinum (and previously as diamond) member at a Mercure hotel. We are past residents of Williamstown and booked at Aligned as we had stayed previously and it was close to friends, restaurants etc. The checkin process was smooth and car parked in a secure park under the building. The room was clean and not noisy. At short notice we needed to extend our stay and Manager Michael was able to find us another excellent room. From an accommodation point of view, the room rate was reasonable, the beds comfortable, the shower was hot and the room was clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was really convenient to go to Pelicans Landing restaurant and bar without needed to go outside. Well done, we will definitely return
