Ulasan Sol Parc Hotel & Apartments

Firstly I'd like to point out to prospective guests that this is essentially a holiday camp rather than a hotel. It comprises a number of accomodation blocks scattered around a pine forest. The terrain might be a challenge to anyone with moderate mobility issues. Secondly it is essentially aimed at the French market with all french animation staff and much of the entertainment in French. As a French speaker I was fine with this but my wife felt a bit left out. Now that's out of the way we had a fabulous time here. We had an apartment with all inclusive. The food in the buffet restaurant was some of the best I've tasted and I guess it would need to be with a mainly French clientele. The desserts probably let it down a bit though. The selection of drinks for all inclusive is a bit restricted but no complaints from me as the red wine was very passable. The walk to the beach is fabulous and the beach incredible. Young children are well catered for with loads of playground equipment and pleasant pool areas. Teenagers might find it a bit boring. All in all a very pleasant few days.

Awful, place did B&B. Room ok pillow flat and hard, kitchen utensils rather lacking, balcony never any sun, everything always damp. Breakfast average, coffee disgusting. Pools never used as to many trees and no sun, surrounding area only one place to go for a decent meal, and they did a decent coffee. Would I go again, only if they paid me

It is quite disapointment. Servis is fine and place is clean. Room was after reconstruction, but fridge was just painted by white collor. :D Evening program is only in French and quality of food? Disaster! There is chance to find one meal from offer, but that taste. I do not recommend to eat in this hotel!

Absolutely loved this place! Room was clean and the site is beautiful. Choice of 2 pools and we always got a sunbed. Entertainment was mainly in French/Spanish. We were self catering and didn’t eat on site. Just take insect repellents I got covered in bites. Air conditioning was amazing and so was the shower. We had the best holiday.

I don't understand all the negative reviews of the hotel complex. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It's a 3 star resort so we didn't go expecting a 5 star resort. Clean complex throughout. Quite basic cooking facilities (we were self catering) but we managed to cook breakfasts and a couple of meals with no problem. Yes, the resort does have mainly French and Spanish holidaymakers. I certainly didn't have an issue with that. The onsite supermarket is well stocked for basics and lovely freshly baked bread each day. The beach is amazing, a five minute walk across a boardwalk. I would advise that you buy mosquito repellent and use it. Due to being in a wooded area all of son parc area has lots of mosquitos. The town doesn't seem to have survived covid well. Lots of restaurants' were closed and looked run down. There were a few nice ones still open though. Try a quick taxi ride to Fornells as it has lots of nice places to eat.

Just returned and feel had to comment about awful pool areas and gardens and bird mess literally everywhere The apartment was basic but very clean along with bathroom Beautiful beach , gorgeous sand ,clear water What's let's the place down is the run down and disgusting pool areas Never cleaned ,mould everywhere Small pool always in shade Main pool only half in shade all day And the kids slide area ( see pic ) disgusting Bird muck everywhere and smelly Chairs in middle of now where Very poor hotel I'd rate it one or maybe two stars Needs serious money spending on it Wouldn't recommend at all See pics to see the state of the place

Amazing aparthotel in a wonderful pine grove by a fabulous beach. The apartment is satisfactory. Beds very comfortable. No insects. There was a hair dryer. Cleaning every other day. All inclusive super, plenty of everything, many kinds of fruit. Excellent pancakes for breakfast. A selection for children too. They have a dedicated toaster for gluten-free diets. However, I would welcome labels with allergens for each meal (my son is allergic to eggs, it was possible to choose after consulting the waiter). Good wines. Warm, clean sea, fish (even stingray). Fine, velvety sand. The animation in Czech (Sára and Bětka by Fisher) was perfect, the children didn't want to go home. Climbing frames, swimming pools, mini golf. Wi-Fi is also great in the room. We will definitely be back.

The views are stunning, the beach a paradise, the small pool relaxing and well shaded by trees. This was the cleanest accommodation ever - the cleaners were lovely, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Equally the staff working in the grounds did all they could to keep everywhere maintained, comfortable and pleasurable. Air con and wifi brilliant too. The availability of food for those not on an all-inclusive holiday was not as advertised. It was simply not possible to buy a meal. That was ok as the self catering facilities were good and the shops well-stocked. The one remaining local restaurant, los porches, was fabulous and well run, but it was sad to see so many empty, closed businesses. Many have commented on the entertainment at Sol Parc so we knew what to expect- we didn’t join in but it was fun to sit on the balcony and listen to (Messieurs et Mesdames - Eurovision vibes) and it ended promptly at 10:30pm. The decor was dated but inoffensive. Negatives - the Reception staff. The younger ones were helpful and efficient at, for example, booking taxis and loaning equipment, but those who were more senior found it hard to put the customer first. Everything was prefaced with- we’re full, we’re too busy, we weren’t expecting you, we can’t help you, you can’t do that, don’t sit there, etc. On arrival we were told that the rooms we had been allocated were unsuitable for us but there was nothing else. It took them over an hour to check in the group and the whole process was fraught with problems of their own making. We were delighted with our rooms and location and would love to return; we remain mystified by their angst-ridden approach to running what appears to be a successful and popular hotel.

Hotel itself is dated, but otherwise clean. Apartment was spacious and also clean and well maintained. Good air conditioning in bedroom and living/kitchen area. Fridge/microwave clean. Good balcony space. Hotel is surrounded by trees, makes for a beautiful setting however doesn’t let much light in. The pool is a decent size, there are lots of beds around the pool, but with the ratio of guests, can be sparse. The pool is also surrounded by trees, more shade than sun and the trees shed over the pool and loungers. Pool area generally clean. There is no lifeguard by the pool in the whole time we have been here. Entertainment unfortunately not catered for British holidaymakers. All entertainment is in French which included The activities by the pool. Pool bar we found to be on the moor expensive side. Supermarket on site and others are located in close proximity. All provide fresh bread and pastries. The beach is a 5 minute walk downhill, which is large. There are umbrellas and loungers which you can pay for daily. Sea is beautiful, perfect for children’s paddling and you can go far out and the water remains shallow. Loval restaurants are few. There are approx 5 with 15 min walk. BJ cater for British and provided entertainment very child friendly. Decent food at los porches, but get in early as they get busy. Mahon town approx 25min bus trip. Which collects directly from apartments. Fornells 15 bus ride, has a harbour, shops and restaurants

Just recently come back from a 5 night stay at the Sol Parc. We could not fault any aspect of the stay. The staff were so lovely and helpful, the food was amazing and the choice excellent. The apartment was so spacious and spotlessly clean. The beach and the cove is stunning and inparticularly liked that you could go out quite far into the sea and still only be waist high. We absolutely loved it and would definitely go again. Well done Sol Parc

The apartments are beautiful, spacious, the equipment is good... a fridge, air conditioning and a terrace. There is no hand soap in the bathroom. what makes us not come back is a non-stop program for the French. shouting every evening and everything in French, a lot of people didn't understand it, but they also wanted to have fun. if the program was in the universal language - English, there would definitely be more people sitting at the bar. We agreed with some guests that this is wrong. There is nowhere else to sit... Too bad! The dining room is not equipped with places for as many people as the hotel can accommodate, so frequent queues for food.. otherwise very nice staff, helpful. Just make it a little better. :-)

The hotel itself is good. Rooms are well equipped with large terrace and AC. The place is well shadowed via Pines and it is quite close to the beach. We had also All in program and it was also good. The only two problems we had were: 1. Every evening was with some french animations and in frech language what we and a lot of others really did not enjoy. At the same tine, there is no other place in the compkex where to go, to spend more quiet evening without sceaming french people. 2. Water in bigger swimming pool was dirty and not cleaned enough. Even we told that fact in the reception, nohing has changed. Overall this is very nice hotel in very nice area with beautiful beach. If there were abimation or only some days or in English, it would be great. Othervise it is not the right place for us to come back again.

Avoid if British never a 3 star jet2 should have a good look into this place rooms are basic ie 1980s basic . Fridge that didn't shut bathroom window the guests in the block above could see us shower and on the toilet light cracked in living room and low cable going across room to socket . Light beaming in the living room window as kids tried to sleep had to stick paper to the glass to dull the light .staff are unhelpful unless your french place is dead outside apartments thank god we hired car. I could go on forever but when it might look good and cheap avoid it's a bloody dump

This hotel was advertised as being relaxing and tranquil, its anything but!! Arrived at Son Parc after a long, stressful trip and was told by the hotel that we didn't have half board! Finally after sorting it out, we went to our apartment... apparently these are refurbished!! Extremely dated, cracks in the walls and things falling apart in the kitchen. Put our bags down and went to get some food, absolutely awful quality, so much that I contacted Jet2 to get a refund on the cost of the half board! The main problem was noise... EVERY NIGHT loud, blaring music that is only for french children so of you are british with children don't bother. You can hear the music throughout the entire complex, its disturbing! This hotel clearly only caters for french and have been very rude to us, I honestly could go on about how awful this hotel is. NEVER AGAIN.
