Very good value. It is located in the center of messin, so is a 10m walk from the main station. Signing in was a bit confusing as there was no one at the door to let me in, but a number was provided so I called and I was let in. My room card was already premade in an envelope near the entrance, so I didn't need to do anything further. Only bad thing is the drinks in the fridge aren't free and you will be charged if you drink them.

I have stayed at il Galleone this summer together with my family the nights before and after my wedding. Il Galleone is conveniently located in the historical city centre, a stone away from the Duomo/Cathedral square. Everything is literally at walking distance and there are plenty of restaurants and places to eat in the elegant and peaceful neighbourhood. The rooms are well equipped with every comfort: air conditioning, hairdryer, fresh towels, toiletries etc.. They are very nicely decorated and elegant, so they suited perfectly the wedding pictures. The breakfast is kindly provided in the communal room where coffee facilities and pastries are served every morning. A special voucher is offered in addition to this for the very first morning when one can opt to have breakfast in one of the two historical coffee places located in the Cathedral Square, literally 100 metres from the Galleone. Such a bonus! Antonella and Rosario were perfect hosts (at times they felt like family), so welcoming and catering all the demanding needs a bride can have, always supportive and understanding. They went out of their way to make my family have the best experience possible during our stay and I will eternally be grateful to them for this. I highly recommend the Galleone to everyone who needs to be in Messina either for work or leisure. It's a special place run by very amazing people: You will feel like Home! Thank you so much!

Check-in took two minutes, the receptionist was very professional. We got the key and clear instructions to our room, and the wifi password. The room was functional, but good enough for the purposes. The bed was large enough and comfortable. The room's windows faced the water, and we enjoyed seeing the ferry from the balcony when we opened the window. The room also had a working desk which was good, as we needed space to do some computer work. The bathroom amenities were ample, and we had plenty of fresh linen. Breakfast the next morning was a HUGE spread. Among all the hotels we stayed in Sicily, this one had the most food on offer. The waiter at the coffee station was commendable - we ordered a hot chocolate and the effort he put into making the perfect cup just made our day. I want to make a special mention to the lady at reception. I left my passport in the room after we checked out, and didn't realise it until over an hour later. I rang in a state of panic and she calmly reassured me that they had found it and she was holding on to it for me. Despite the slight language barrier, she communicated compassion perfectly. When I reached the hotel, she handed it over with the kindest smile, and that immediately dialled down my stress levels. 5/5 is not high enough for the service rating of this place, I would give them 10/5 if I could. And the lady at the front desk needs a promotion.

Il soggiorno nel Resort (dall' 11 al 19 luglio 2023 - insieme a mia moglie) è stato al di sopra di ogni aspettativa: nella Suite le camere, dotate di TV a schermo piatto, angolo cottura e aria condizionata, sono molto spaziose, sempre pulitissime e in ordine, fornite di ogni comfort(pure troppo comodo il materasso da cui era difficile staccarsi al mattino...),un bagno grandissimo e una terrazza con vista sul mare che dista a pochi metri. Tutto finalizzato a fare in modo che l'ospite si senta accolto e accudito. Il Personale è molto professionale è gentilissimo e fornisce indicazioni molto utili. All’uopo ringrazio i responsabili per averci riservato ogni possibile attenzione. Un posto in cui, da buon siciliano ritornerò sicuramente e che consiglio senza soluzione di continuità. Excellent position close to beautiful via Marina with old giant trees, elegant corso Garibaldi, the Harbour hidtofoils peer to Messina and the foremost interesting archeological museums with the impressive statues of Bronzi di Riace. The rooms are spacious and clean with nice bathrooms. The location is quiet and the staff is kind and supportive. There is also a small and good restaurant to solve the needs of a quick tasty dinner. The hotel claims four star but there are some doubts because of absence e. g. of courtesy slipperies and bathrobe, the non convenient location and unavailability of electric sockets ose to the bed nor USB ports.

Ho avuto il piacere di poter usufruire dell’ampio salone con vista mozzafiato sullo stretto di Messina per festeggiare il decimo compleanno di mia figlia in maniera nuova e alternativa. Oltre alla bellezza dei locali curati nel dettaglio, ho trovato immensa cordialità e disponibilità da parte dei proprietari, sempre prontissimi ad accogliere ogni nostra richiesta! ottimo catering con cibo fresco e genuino. Consigliato vivamente !!!

Il soggiorno è stato piacevole. Il b&b si trova all'intenzione di un grande palazzo e in zona centrale. La camera era di recente manifattura e molto pulita. Tutti ok Lo consiglio.
