Night 1 was a bit of a touch and go. We were a few couples and there was an American group. The lodge staff seemed overwhelmed. This continued in the morning for breakfast where it was served plated instead of buffet. However they redeemed themselves of the second dinner and second breakfast. Bedroom was big, clean and comfortable. There was no TV (we didn't mind it, may be an issue for others). Their wifi was very strong considering we were in the bush and helped with my studies. Overall beautiful bush lodge, clean air and great space to lodge if you want to do a day trip to Mapungubwe

Mopane Bush Lodge has left an imprint on our hearts. We got a travel agent to book the stay for our 5 year anniversary and we were enchanted. We received a complimentary room upgrade with a wonderful private pool view facing on the Mapesu reserve. The room was spacious, we had an indoor and outdoor shower as well as a bath. All was very clean and the space is beautifully decorated with local artists. The staff was very nice and attentive, they managed to fulfill all of our requests. Everything went smoothly. Mr. Quinten & Lindy were very kind and helpful. Chris, our tour guide made our game drives the best experience yet! He knew all the animals, birds and trees. Thanks to him, we managed to see the cheetahs 3 times. The food was delicious, the chef makes the best sauces and the menu alters daily. They even make take away boxes and orders directly to your room. The location is perfect next to the Mapungubwe park and the Mapesu reserve. Truly an unforgettable experience. I recommend Mopane Bush Lodge to anyone looking for a break in nature.

The final part of our road trip across the northern part of South Africa and it did not disappoint! The accomodation, food, service and game driver were all excellent and we would highly recommend! It is a superb destination.

It was the first time we visited the lodge. We heared about it from friends who were there before. It was in one word "great". Everyone was so nice, rooms were perfect ( good beds, clean, big shower, outside shower was welcome in this hot weather) food was excellent

Very arduous and lengthy check in but the cabins are awesome. You even have a small private swimming pool. Great service, good food and the view over the pond is nice. The drive from the main road to the lodge is a safari in itself.

Mopane Bush Lodge was amazing! Their hospitality and service was top notch, the staff were all helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The food was great and absolutely filling! The luxurious tent is breathtaking. Though it rained and got cold, the trip was still worth while!

My family and I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend at Mopane Bush Lodge. It was just too short. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive to our needs. The rooms were well-appointed, clean, comfortable and well-maintained. One small gripe - the aircon in our unit made an annoying buzzing sound, fortunately the weather was cool so we didn't need this. The food was of a good quality and enjoyed by all. The wine stock didn't quite match the wine menu, and we were able to find wine that matched our budget and taste. But the wine wasn't in a cooler. And why there wasn't a wine bottle opener at the bar is a mystery. The service was good, perhaps a little understaffed, but they were courteous and attentive so we never had to wait too long. Thank you to the team at Mopane Bush Lodge.

The friendly staff did their upmost to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Seemed like forever getting to the lodge from the main gate, really remote. Our ranger was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the environment. Highlights were a walking safari where we found ourselves amidst 4 giraffes; a cheetah tracking experience and trips to the wonderful Mapungubwe national park. In all it made our 40th wedding anniversary very special and we both want to go back. Highly recommended, and definitely something we won’t forget. The accomodation was very comfy and had a hut all to ourselves with a huge bed. Our only issue was that all drinks had to be paid for, but not expensive

Really had a lekker stay at Mopane Bush Lodge. We stayed in the Tented Camp unit 8 and it was sterling. The host was extremely accommodating allowing us to braai at this location. Beautifully appointed tents, spacious with a small little seating area both inside and outside the tent. Vast views over the stunning landscape. outdoor shower. The toilet pan though was unusually low. Tents were lit, lighting too along pathways. coffee, tea and milk. baddabing.
