Resort Sant'Angelo & Spa

We stayed 3 nights. It was so easy to relax there either by the pool or on our terrace. The spa facilities look awesome. The staff are very helpful. The location is stunning. Food was great with amazing views from the dining room. It's an easy drive to Pompeii. Would highly recommend.

Taxi to hotel 180 euros. When I arrived, I was told that my room was over the road - not just any road, but a busy, windy, dangerous road. I expressed my concerns and 'Rita' the lovely hotel receptionist found a room for me within the hotel. I had booked bed and breakfast. The food was average - cereals, bacon, bread, cold meats (2 types) and cheese (1 type). Unfortunately no fruit. A La Carte menu which did not change. The chef cooked some complimentary starters. The hotel itself was very clean and towels changed regularly. Lovely, polite staff who made everyone feel welcome. An outdoor pool which was really nice, although small. Extra charge of 30 euros to use the Spa facilities and extra for treatments.

The hotel is in need of renovation in some areas and the pool needs to be retiled and sealed. The room was basic , even though we paid for a superior room with balcony . There isn’t any furniture on any balcony , so nowhere to sit out and enjoy the views . The air con couldn’t be regulated at all . The bathrooms are old and tired , Our ‘mini bar’ was just a small fridge ,,, no drinks in it , no water provided in the rooms and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room . The room was a decent size , the bed was ok . There was a wardrobe with coat hanger and when we asked for more , we got 4 . There are no drawers to put anything in . The TV is extra small , with intermittent WiFi . Breakfast was appalling .. little choice and not much . Poolside bar food was terrible . The hotel is out of the way , so a vehicle is needed . There is nothing close by . The hotel provide a driver but it’s very expensive . Lots of steps so not good for anyone unsteady on their feet . Very expensive for so little. Definitely not a 4 * . Wouldn’t stay there again !!

Staying at this Resort was one of the best experiences in my life I have read through 100s of reviews before choosing my holiday and I'm so glad I picked this one the people were so nice especially Maria and her colleague unfortunately I've forgot his name but he helped us with the lending us a charger for the entire stay honestly I was just blown away by their hospitality simply just 11/10 anyday weather was beautiful the pool was amazing the food was the best I've ever tasted so if you are thinking of going here run don't walk because it's paradise.

The hotel is in a marvellous location, nestled in green hills with fabulous views. We researched it carefully before deciding to go there. One thing we really wanted to experience was the Spa. Other good things about this place is the restaurant. Quality of evening meals really good and the continental breakfast has a good range of choice. It has a roof patio, which is very nice and a swimming pool which I didn't manage to sample. I had a massage costing around €30 which was expertly done. Things started going rocky for us on the first night when someone unlocked our hotel door, while we had the thumb-lock turned from inside and managed to enter. I shouted out and ran to the door but they appear to have run down the stairs. The next day when I complained about it, it was dismissed as if it didn't happen. During the rest of our stay the receptionist did not say that she had looked at security footage or that security was being stepped up. I tried not to make it spoil the holiday but I kept all of my valuables with me at all times and took precautions at night and would advise the same to any visitor. The staff appeared to be obsessed with earning money from what they call 'transfers'. i.e. they act as a taxi service charging jaw dropping amounts. All charges are per person. From the Hotel to Pompei we were charged €50 combined which I had to argue down from the €60 they wanted to charge. We took their transfer because the receptionist told us that to buy a bus ticket online, you needed an Italian phone number. Buses run right from outside the hotel and once you are in a town /city, I recommend that you buy inexpensive bus tickets from a tobacco shop. By the end of the holiday we worked out that in total, we had spent the cost of the holiday per person on 'transfers'. To top it all the spa facilities were closed every day that we were there.

I stayed at this hotel due to the location of the hiking I wanted to do up Monte Molare and wanted to save some money. The hotel worked out great! Nice room, balcony, and view of Pompeii. Breakfast had a lot of options and was great!
