Italian architecture is at the helm of this 5 star property which encompasses 30 accommodations amenities, a Michelin-starred eatery, a cafe-lounge, a compact gym, a brand spanking new rooftop facility and boasts of providing interesting tours. The hotel furnishings, crafted by Italian artisans, echoes the famous works of Milanese sculptors and artists. My room was decked out in 1960's inspired decor. A blend of texture and color with a fusion of glass elements added a streaming effect to the atmosphere. The warm palette of blue, walnut, cream and grey complete with an electrified desk provided a homey feel to the surroundings. The bath had significant appeal with brass fittings and a funky, unusually shaped, double sinks. The Michelin-starred restaurant is the Casa's highlight attraction with it's menu of traditional Italian specials accompanied by a dash of East Asian influences. I fell for the fish (pan-fried crustaceans).............heavenly. So , if you want a small boutique hotel that aims to be your home away from home..............then try the........... It is very true that a picture and an image tell their own powerful story! When my husband Guy and I arrived back at the Westin Hotel from Florence, Guy got down on the floor of the hotel reception on both knees to offer a prayer of thanks to Riccardo, the Head Concierge of the Magical Concierge Team. This is how grateful and delighted we were with the services of the Concierge team of Riccardo, Andrea and Silvia. Riccardo was unphased by us not having made Porter reservations for the Railway station. He said he would find a way to help for us with our large luggage. The combination of Riccardo’s skills and connections achieved a mini miracle; our taxi driver to Milan station had been briefed on how to secure porter assistance and the plan was executed with military precision. A young man appeared from nowhere to provide this assistance. This type of service can only be achieved by a Magical Concierge Team. Riccardo, Andrea and Silvia also scored perfection on our return journey from Florence to Milan. As the train arrived at Milan Central, Porter Andrea was holding up a sign with my name on it with the universal thumbs up signal. Watching this Porter lift two suitcases weighing around 20 kilos each from the overhead baggage rack as though they were a feather, was astonishing. Between them Porter Andrea and Mario, the driver of the chauffeur service ensured a seamless arrival back at the Westin. We recommend this Concierge team without any hesitation as the best.

We checked into Milan II Duca after a long day of transatlantic travel, and it was such a great choice. Our room was quiet and lovely, the staff most helpful, the public spaces inviting and calming, the breakfast at the rooftop bar area amazing, and the neighborhood location proved to be central to all the sites we wanted to visit. We wished we had one more day there.

Hotel nothing like the pictures on booking.com or Expedia. The rooms are extremely dated and badly in need of refurbishment. The toilet has a tap to flush which drips loudly all night. Wish we had booked another hotel. We paid a lot of money for the rooms and the quality was poor.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights during a visit to Milan and the northern Italian lakes. I had visited Milan a few times before but this was the first time we stayed here. Overall it was a very good experience. The hotel is conveniently located for a tourist visit to Milan. Not in the busiest part of the center of the city, but sufficiently close and with a metro station very close by that allows you to get to most sights and museums swiftly. There is also a limousine service provided by the hotel to the city center but we didn’t use that. We booked a superior room: spacious with a nice bathroom with separate bathtub and shower (something I like). The furnishing of the room was very stylish and in tune with the rest of the hotel. The room was on a side of the hotel which was fairly quiet. A good bed (a bit soft for my taste, but one adapts). Fresh fruit in the room and every day fresh water for the both of us. We didn’t use the mini-bar but it looked well-stocked. Good-sized safe. Overall good service as regards make-up of the room, turn-down service, etc. My better half enjoyed the pool. We didn’t use the spa services. Breakfast was good without being exceptional, but if you are into a big breakfast lots of additional possibilities are available. We did eat dinner at the restaurant one evening (we usually prefer to explore and eat outside). That was very good with excellent food, a very good selection of wine (obviously heavily tilted to the Italian side), a some nice extra options (I enjoyed a very good port after dinner). Overall service was excellent, friendly and very professional in all departments. The hotel and its facilities and furnishings are very nice, with a lot of nice design touches. All very traditional, luxurious yet tasteful. A very nice touch was that when we got back to our room in the afternoon of the birthday of my better half we found a chilled bottle of sparkling wine and a nice birthday cake. A very nice personal touch which we greatly appreciated. This is obviously not an economy hotel, but I would recommend it highly. It lives up to its luxury rating and really impressed me with its professionalism and service. Worth its price. Would certainly book there again if I went back to Milan.

The hostel was clean, tidy and the staff were friendly and helped us with any questions and gave us recommendations of where to visit. Having a 24 hr reception was extremely useful as there was always someone to chat too if we needed help. Not being able to take our keys out of the hostel gave us peace of mind that we wouldn’t lose them, so it was nice to simply hand them in to reception and get them back when we returned from our outings. While at the hostel we decided to go to Lugano, Switzerland on the train and we didn’t return to our hostel for over 24 hours, when we arrived back we asked for our keys and all was well with our room etc… If I return to Milan and want an affordable accomodation I would definitely rebook this as it is walking distance in to the centre of Milan also.

We usually stay at hotels within AMEX fine hotels and resorts so we can splurge by using accumulated points. Last week, we had a two night stay in Milan and unbeknownst to us, it was also Fashion Week. The Four Seasons was fully booked. I literally mapped the Four Seasons and looked for a hotel near by, assuming that the area would be nice. I stumbled upon the Hotel Manzoni. What a treasure! It was a stone’s throw away from the Four Seasons and was immaculate in every way. The service was superb, the workmanship (most beautifully maintained marble ever!!) and attention to detail was truly 5 star. A small, 47 rooms, luxury boutique hotel that will definitely be my hotel of choice while in Milan- even if the AMEX hotels have vacancies. It is located within a minutes walk to best shopping, restaurants and a few minutes walk to Duomo. Truly a treasure!
