During my stay I witnessed no person on their mobiles, especially across the garden. This unique and likely enlisted building holds its own in making your experience feel like your stepping into the past. The staff were extremely accommodating to the extent there was not a specific person I could name. A rehabilitation from modern day stresses. The only minor criticism was that the staff were having to juggle sometimes multiple orders at once but the day we went was a particularly busy one. The food was great, the service was great, the maintenance of this place was amazing, and the flowers in the garden made you question whether you were stepping into the garden of eden.

We stayed at the Northfield for one night. The staff are helpful, polite and friendly. The room that we had was excellent. The gardens are wonderful. We will definitely be returning to this hotel. The hotel is in a quiet part of Minehead, just a short walk to the centre. Overall the hotel and staff are brilliant. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

I would first like to say that there is nothing wrong with The Northfield. The hotel is well located and a great base to explore North Somerset. Unfortunately, it lacks some attention to detail . Our room was in need of a renovation and our splendid view of the sea was spoilt by dirty windows. The chairs in the dining room need updating and it was not as clean as it could be. The service at breakfast was haphazard and it would be nice to see the waitresses in matching uniform. The TV reception in our room was poor , however I accept this may be due to the hotels location. However despite these few gripes we enjoyed our stay at the Northfield. The staff were very friendly , the gardens were exceptional and the entrance/foyer area was pleasant and welcoming. The bed was very comfy too. Despite the lack of attention to detail in a few areas , I doubt whether anyone would regret their stay at The Northfield.

Our 2nd stay . The general condition of the hotel is in need of tlc, but we really enjoyed our stay , bed comfy ,room spacious . Food very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not far to walk to the beach .

Good location, friendly staff. Room 18 was shabby and uncared for, loose toilet seat, grab rail next to bath was loose and rusty, mould on tiles, no bathroom blind, exposed, raised screw on bathroom floor where door stop would have been. Bin broken, large wet patch on the carpet when we arrived and didn’t dry out. Cobwebs and dust everywhere throughout the whole building, stair carpet was filthy and not hoovered during the two days we stayed. This stay was not worth the money that we paid and we would not recommend or return.

Lovely older style hotel. Really super helpful staff. Easy access for my elderly parents. I hope we'll be back in Minehead soon so we can stay here again.
