The hotel itself is lovely and well situated. However I feel that for the price, a better option can be found. Especially the breakfast buffet was quite disappointing for us. The coffee and the food options were not of high quality. But the staff is mostly friendly and other than that we have no big complaints.

3rd time we’ve stayed here and disappointingly, we won’t be staying again. We booked a two bedroomed suite with kitchen. Coffee machine and pods were provided, no cups or any other cutlery or crockery provided, other than a bread board and two pans. Breakfast was poor, lack of choice, out of date butter. IF the waitress did actually come and ask you for an order from the kitchen, it came wrong everytime and it was cold or under cooked. Was told at 0930 that we couldn’t have breakfast 🤷‍♀️ was served till 1030. Overall service not very good and the hotel is dated and lacks facilities in the rooms. Sadly, this hotel let us down this time and given the price increase from previous visits it wasn’t value for money.

A delightful stay at this charming, traditional alpine hotel. Wonderful breakfast and old fashioned, excellent service, great facilities - wellness room, pool, spa and beautiful views from my room to the mountains. Thank you Michael. We ❤️ and extended our stay.

This is a beautiful hotel, and the pool is lovely - it's unusual to find a pool in this area. The restaurant is absolutely perfect. However, for a hotel of this quality and expense, I would expect to be able to have internet (the service was absolutely terrible and was down more often than functioning) and to receive ice upon asking, especially in 100 degree weather. My husband was literally told "there's no chance of that happening" when he called the desk to ask if he could get ice to add to our insulated water bottles for walking around the city.

Stayed here as part of a group tour going to the Oberammergau passion play. The hotel is about a half hour drive from Oberammergau itself. The hotel at first seemed quite old fashioned with lots of wood and patterned carpets and a very rickety single lift. However the hotel is actually a very nice mix of old and modern. With a very nice seating area in the reception area and a nice bar area. Our room was on the 2nd floor, we did manage to squeeze 3 people into the tiny rickety lift, but it wasn’t easy. The only plus was at least the lift was fast. The room was nice with a separate seating area, the beds initially seemed soft, but actually were comfortable, the storage was good and there was a decent flat screen TV. There was also a safe, which I couldn’t initially get to work as there were no instructions, however I asked at reception for help and they sent housekeeping very quickly to show me how it worked. They also sent someone to change the pillows which were far too soft. The bathroom/shower room was very nice, obviously recently upgraded, it was very clean and modern with nice toiletries and bathrobes were included. We had a very nice balcony which would be nice to sit out on, unfortunately we had no time (or energy) to do this. The restaurant is on the ground floor, with a nice selection on the menu which we enjoyed. The staff were lovely very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in the conservatory area, which was frankly cold as breakfast was early and the windows were open as was the door. Breakfast was continental with some hot food, scrambled egg and one other hot side. The reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is there was no air conditioning in our room, the room was very hot, we left the window open of course, but that just let more hot air in, also the lift really was poor and breakfast was really quite chilly with windows and door open in the early morning.

We love this traditional Bavarian hotel with recently updated baths. It is warm and friendly. Virginia was great with our check-in and answered many questions about the area. Our room (double on the second floor of the main building) was very large with a balcony overlooking the street. Their fine dining restaurant has delicious elevated Bavarian dishes with impeccable service.

Großes, gemütliches Zimmer inkl. Schlafcouch, Blick auf Garten und Berge, Frühstück reichhaltig, nachmittags Kaffee und Kuchen, nettes Personal. Kleiner, feiner Indoor Pool und Garten. Kein Hipster-Place, aber solide 4 Sterne als super Basis für Erkundung von Garmisch und der Berge drumherum.
