We were in town for a family surprise birthday event. We have come to Modesto for the last 25 years off and on for family occasions/visits and have ONLY stayed at this hotel. At least 10 times. (or more) The price is reasonable for the room size/condition (which is wonderful) and for the overall location and hotel amenities. Breakfast is great and this is the only 'hotel coffee' that has been drinkable in ANY hotel we have stayed in! Staff have always been very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

We stayed in room 116 located on the ground floor close to the lobby. The room was adequate. It contained a huge wardrobe that dominated the room, a smaller TV, three chairs, a table. a portable luggage rack, sink/vanity, bathroom with toilet, bath/shower. The room and amenities were clean. The heating/cooling system was antiquated. We left the fan on low all night and it sounded like a bathroom fan. The daytime temperatures in Modesto were in the 70's and the cooling system didn't blow cold air. This might be a problem when the daytime temperatures are in the 90's or 100's. This motel is showing its age but was clean. Breakfast included the usual amenities of cold cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, bananas, apples, selection of breads for toast, coffee, teas, and juices.

This nightmare began when my husband tried to book a room at this hotel late at night. He actually booked through the choice hotels web page. When he got to the hotel literally 15 minutes after making the reservation the front desk clerk stated that they didn't have a room and that a room wouldn't be available until after 3pmwhich was about 12 hours later. She tried to see if there were any rooms available, there weren't. He asked her to cancel the reservation because he couldn't use the room. She refused. The next thing we know there are false charges on our credit card. We've been going back and fourth with out bank trying to get this handled. Today the manager of this hotel threatened my husband stating that ” if he didn't drop this dispute you won't like the outcome” and then proceeded to removed 8,000 points on our account that was placed there by Choice Hotels corporate office. This is now a criminal action

Nous avons passé une nuit dans ce magnifique hôtel... tout neuf, propre, avec tout le confort, grande télévision, belle salle de bain, c était génial. Je recommande !! De plus le petit déjeuner était bon. Le meilleur hôtel de notre séjour.

Hotel staff was very nice. Room was clean. Walls are paper thin. Beware of the location, we worried about our safety, and if our car would still be there the next day. NO we will Not stay there again.
