We had a lovely week at Villa Edera. Such a beautiful setting right by the pretty town of Moneglia and its beach. A perfect setting for walking and visiting the Cinque Terre. The hotel is a master class in customer service; the staff were brilliant. The garden areas are so pretty with fruit trees, olive trees, a vine arch and the kitchen garden. The breakfasts were plentiful and fresh food. The wine tasting on offer is a lovely touch. I’d love to still be there!

We stayed for 9 nights at this fantastic hotel. Perfectly situated being a short walk into Moneglia & to the train station. Close enough to Cinque Terre area but without the crowds. The hotel is beautiful, lots of attention to detail, from the decor throughout to the presentation of the breakfast. The grounds to the hotel are very pretty, as soon as you open the gates you feel like you’re entering a secret oasis of calm. Such a restful place to stay after a full day of walking. All the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. All the family members who owned the hotel were fantastic, clearly all have a passion to give the best service possible. The walks in the area are amazing and the knowledge of the staff with their recommendations of routes was much appreciated. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to stay!

Lovely hotel, which was exceptionally clean, with very friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast was very different and set us up for the day. There was nothing we could find fault with! If we ever visit the Ligurian coast again we would definitely stay at this hotel

Firstly, we think of the hotel daily and cannot wait to return. Secondly, the staff—Barbara and Michelangelo—were so kind, accommodating, and warm-hearted. It wasn't reserved for just them either; I simply can't remember everyone's name. Thirdly, my wife said it felt like home. That was the clincher. It felt like home. It can’t get much better than that. The pool, the rooms, the coffee in the morning, and the sandwiches in the lobby delivered by faithful and kind Michelangelo were simply wonderful. They were bringing us Aperols at the pool and getting us set up at the Beach Club (which was incredible). Let's not forget access to the Moneglia train station is about 100 yards from the hotel, but to get there and to get downtown, you must enter the hotel's outdoor elevator, which takes you down the mountain and drops you into a James Bond tunnel bringing you to your short walk to the train station or downtown Moneglia. Downtown Moneglia is a quaint and tiny beachside town. As I said, we will be back. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

A beautiful hotel and pool, quiet and relaxing. The sight of the Michelin star chef gathering vegetables and herbs every morning from the garden hints at the exquisite food in the Bistro and Restaurant. Kind and helpful staff made this stay perfect

We are currently staying at this hotel, and it has been an incredible experience so far. The staff is friendly, attentive and happy. The rooms are clean and well presented, with breathtaking views from the balcony. The beds are comfortable and the laundry service was very quick. We enjoy the breakfast, which includes fresh croissants and locally sourced scrambled eggs. The food and wines are of excellent quality. The hotel features a private lift that conveniently transports guests from the street level near the train station up to the hotel's elevated location on the hillside.

I have never really experienced anything like Villa Edera in my life. It's truly an immersive experience. Moneglia is a beautiful little coastal spot to begin with, but Villa Edera is an entire thing to itself. The food is fantastic. Their morning apple croissants and apricot juice are just the start. The staff is absolutely wonderful, a true family, and so helpful and kind. The property itself is a fairytale! The gardens, the pool, the grapes, the cute little hotel kittens, the setting in the mountains. It's unreal. The rooms are adorable and clean, each with a cute name like "Ballerina" and the design inside matches the name. I am obsessed. This is one of those places I will look back on through my life and remember forever. Just book it!

We stayed 5 nights and really loved it. Staff was so lovely, room we stayed in was amazing - spacious and well designed - and the food was fantastic. Overall would highly recommend. Moneglia is a small village in between Cinque Terre and Portofino and well connected with a direct train only 5 mins from the hotel. Hotel is a maximum 10 min walk to the village. Lots of good food options in town, as well as amazing food at the hotel. Gym is a nice extra and the pool area is lovely and relaxing. Orietta and Francesca show their passion for their hotel and it is a real personal touch. Big shout out to barbera at the front desk as well as the breakfast staff who help to start the day off so nicely - although all the staff are really lovely. Will definitely stay again.

“Wauw”. That is the best word describing this amazing butique-hotel. That kind of warmth, kindness, coziness and beauty is not seen very often. We loved every minute of our stay at this pearl, from the moment we arrived. Everything was so perfect. From the food to the rooms and the surroundings. 10 out of 10. And the best part of it; the staff and the owners. So loving and kind people, that we got to care so much about. They made us feel like family. We will definitely come back to this beautiful place!
