Hotel Nya is a bit of luxury in the bohemian village of Montezuma. The rooms are spacious and lovely attention to detail. Fresh milk in the fridge, lovely fragrant toiletries. The bar menu is expensive, so we made the most of happy hour - watch out for the price of a bottle of water - coming in at £8! More expensive than a few beers - we were sting by this on day 1. Pool towels often run out due to the size of the basket they are stored in being so small- Easy fix - more attentive staff or a bigger basket. Yoga classes were great, however the price can get misinterpreted - the reduced rate for a resident- actually means a local resident, not someone staying at the hotel. This needs to be made clearer in my opinion.

Nya is an oasis located in paradise. We had just 3 nights at this wonderful hotel and would love to return in the future. The hotel’s location on the beach but very slightly tucked away in the jungle and a few minutes walk from the village is ideal. The design of the whole hotel is understated and very in keeping with its surroundings, think beautiful wooden furniture with contemporary feel. The on site restaurant was excellent, some of the best food we ate in 3 weeks touring Costa Rica. The atmosphere is chilled and peaceful with only the occasional Howler Monkey breaking the tranquility. The staff were exemplary in their service, efforts to please and most importantly friendliness. We had the good fortune to talk with Nefertiti on a few occasions who gave us lots of suggestions of things to do all of which were excellent and didn’t require a car just the ability to walk and enjoy the wonderful surroundings of Nya

We had the most wonderful time at Nya hotel which truly is an elegant gem in the jungle. We loved our room, the pool and the Ubin restaurant. We spent 5 nights there and the quality of service was excellent. They would surprise us with a sweet treat every evening and when it rained, they would put an umbrella in front of our doors. Little gestures that made us happy. It is a quiet place surrounded by the beautiful and very alive jungle. We did not go to yoga classes or massages as we had other plans but they offer those too. We had stomach issues from a bad meal we had in San Jose and Sting, our waiter in Ubin, went above and beyond to help. When I asked for chicken soup (not on the menu) he delivered. He offered bitters for better digestion and showed true care. When we could, we enjoyed the Ubin restaurant, which offered good food and crazy desserts. We were very sad to leave this beautiful place.

Ecxellent hotel in the middle of lush garden. We had perfect customer service from reception and restaurant. Great pool, and location just enough away from the main road to feel private. Breakfast was delicious! We did yoga, went surfing and hiked to a nearby waterfall.

The best part of the nYa is the staff! The front desk personnel were professional and courteous and had great senses of humor. They answered the many many questions with a smile and ere very helpful. The restaurant and bar was a great place to begin and end the day. The food was very good and again, the staff were attentive and professional. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. The terrace room was small (but not too small) and the terrace was a pleasant private area to sit and relax. The pool was warm and inviting. Housekeeping was always prompt and kept the room in pristine condition.

We love this place and brought along my mother-in-law this time. We have stayed here more times than we can recall: @ 5 or 6. Surrounded by jungle; daily seeing monkeys playing directly in front of our balcony. Awesome restaurant and attentive staff. Had a wonderful massage. The pool has new, custom lounge furniture, and beverage service. We can’t wait to return to this gem in the jungle!

The free breakfast was 5 star! delicious, omelettes, healthy smoothies, everything so fresh and creative ! nothing basic about this place. Lesli was our server every morning and also brought us drinks by the pool! Lesli and the other staff make this place so special!

As always the staff was amazing and our room was comfortable and spacious. This year we upgraded to the balcony and it didn't disappoint. Seeing the monkeys up close was wonderful. This was my third visit and we are already planning for next year. Each year there are small improvements, this year it was rhe umbrellas and cabanas at the pool. Breakfast each day is always delicious.

This has to be the best hotel I have ever stayed at and I have been all over the world!
The surroundings are just so relaxing. Nice and shaded. I stayed for 5 nights and
kept finding a new spot to chill out each evening ie one of the hammocks dotted about, seating or just at the pool. The bar/restaurant adjacent serves delicious food and drink that is very reasonably priced. The room smelt so clean and fresh and was so nice to walk into on return from a (hot and sweaty) hike. Beach and Montezuma town is on your doorstep also.
