Hotel berhampiran Salle Tailhades, Montpellier

Dear Madam/Sir, I have stayed in your facility between 25 June- 12 August 2023. Here are my notes regarding my stay and hotel. All employees were so kind. Thank them all. I would like to especially thank to, Sarah, Marie and Miarina at front desk. Having breakfast in the weekend was a chaos. It is so crowded. Tables and seats are not enough and some of the foods can be finished easily and need to be waited for renewal. And also cleanliness of cutlery and plates are not sufficient. (This is not only during weekends, I saw some not enough cleaned cutleries and plates during weekdays. The hotel needs to renew the omlette pans in the breakfast saloon. They are fully scratched and this is not good for health. Water in the rooms tasting so bad. I couldn't drink because sometimes it smells humidity - odour. It will be so good if the water can be changed. I had my stay mostly in room 525, the soap dispenser was detached and about to drop, but it was not realized by cleaning staff for some time and I asked it to be fixed. I only got the hotel slippers close to end of my total stay. In my opinion, these slippers are one of the basic but necessary stuff in a hotel room. The bed in my room was not so comfortable, I think it is becoming old and needs to be changed soon. Carpets and curtains in the room also seems to be old and I was feeling some dust sometimes in the room. Lastly, there should be a stand for the luggage in the room. I kept my luggage on ground. To summarize, my stay was good except these items above. Thanks to all the staff for their kindness and helpful approach.

The meeting I attended in Montpellier was held at the city hall, Hotel de Ville, which is an impressive, vast, modern bulk in a booming concrete district south of the centre. Three minutes walk away is the Adagio Aparthotel, which is also close to tramways and therefore easily accessible from the city centre. I was very satisfied with the accommodation in a clean and well-equipped mini-apartment with fridge, cooker and a small dining table. The bed was comfortable and there were lots of shelves and cupboards as well as good lighting. However, a comfy chair to relax in would have been welcome. There's a lounge area on the ground floor where a good breakfast (including eggs, croissant and fresh fruit) is served. Although it is built and decorated in a slightly soulless style the Adagio was more than adequate for my two night stay.

We chose the hotel for the secure connected parking and our generally satisfactory experience with the brand. The parking is in a huge subterranean space adjacent to a large and slightly fading Mall., Pay very close attention to the Pullman parking signs, or like us, you will waste 15 or 20 minutes lost on the wrong floor or wrong side of the labyrinth. While we arrived smoothly from Sete, driving in Montpelier is Terrible and nearly Impossible. The city is torn up; signage is haphazard, bicycle lanes, tram lines, construction barriers and very few through streets make driving in Paris, New York or most anywhere else in France far better. I would rather drive in Piraeus, Greece, and that is saying something. has a wide stock of Ruinart Chapagne From the outside, and to a lesser extent inside, the hotel is a cookie cutter generic clone welded on to the shopping center. The rooftop restaurant and pool have a 200 degree view of dreary modern buildings in the direction away from city center. The staff are very nice and professional. The buffet breakfast acceptable, except for the dreadful Nescafe coffee, a national Accor contract. How a hotel that has a wide stock of Ruinart Champagne and Chateldon water can serve NEscafe is a real embarrassement. Our ”upgraded room” woas comfortable, but very mid-range with obvious corner cutting everywhere-small closet, a very narrow hall and WC. The biggest annoyance; while I am all for hiring the handicapped, you shouldn't let a mentally incompetent person design bathroom lighting, or more accurately lack thereof. A couple of left of center ceiling lights doesnt' do much for shaving or applying makeup unless you are 8 feet tall. The fluorescent light around the back of the mirror is ideal for the Irish leprechauns that might live behind it, but of no use to those of us who want to use the front. Eclipse lighting in a bathroom is unsatisfactory and disrespectful of your guests.. I'm not sure where Pullman is supposed to fit in in the wide range of Accor brands. This one seemed between Mercure and Ibis in the level of amenities. Comfortable bed, large flat screen television ok. Hallways, common areas and furniture that could be from Ikea. We had some very fine meals in the city, after long roundabout taxi rides. Would we stay here again? The bigger question is whether we would come back to Montpelier.

I always check in IBIS MONTPELLIER triangle place de la comedie and next to Polygone center . I have even sometimes showed up without pre booking hence they were supportive. It is literally in the heart of the city just exactly where everyone would like to be when visiting Montpellier.

The hotel was lovely and the facilities were great. Our family had enough room to be comfortable and everything was clean and tastefully decorated. The location was perfect for travellers with the the main train station across the street and trams in front of the hotel, travel couldn't be easier. Even with transport right there we had a great night's sleep due to the double glazed windows.

I stayed at Montpellier's Appart'hotel Odalys Les Occitanes in October 2023. I loved so many things about the place. For example, the location is great, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the folks at the reception are friendly and very helpful. But I can't give the hotel a high rating because of one very important thing: Their front door is heavy and often stuck, making it difficult for most women to open it. Most men have no problem opening it. Take a moment and consider this problem. When you are traveling anywhere in the world, has it ever crossed your mind that the only entrance to the hotel may be impossible to enter because the door's too heavy? It's never crossed my mind. And it shouldn't. Entering your hotel easily is a pretty basic requirement of a hotel. After straining my back in trying to push the heavy door open, then having to stop a stranger on the street (to ask him to help me), I went to the reception to see if they could address the problem. Their hands were tied. Despite their sympathy, they could do nothing. Their only suggestion: Call us if you can't get in and someone will come to open it for you. Now take a moment to consider this: First, imagine you have travelled many hours to Montpellier, you arrive at night, you are jetlagged, and your phone doesn't work because you just landed and haven't had time to get a new SIM card. What are you supposed to do? I noticed to the left of the door, there is an intercom. But guess what? It's broken. Oh, and here's another issue. One night I returned to the hotel with another woman so together we could push the door open, but we noticed there was no one at reception. Probably had to attend to something else. So if that happens when you call, I guess you're out of luck. When I suggested a solution, ”Prop the door open,” I was told we can't do that for security reasons. So...any man from the street can push the door open but women cannot. So where's the security? And who is the security for? I want to stress that this problem is not caused by the wonderful people who work at the reception. They are frustrated as well by the door. It is the management of the hotel who needs to solve this problem. So for now, the Appart'Hotel Odalys is a great place for men but women beware.

Booked a very last minute room and as there were 4 of us plumped for a suite with sofa bed. First impression was pretty good when you walk intot reception and are gretted by ballet art on the walls and a modern take on art deco furniture. Reception is large and well maintained. Our third floor room was spacious and clean and the decor is very cool. We had a large bed and the boys had the sofa bed. Two large young men managed well with the sofa bed as, thankfully, it was quite large. Really pleased with our dtay and will definitely be back.

Hôtel bien situé juste à côté de la gare. Les chambres supérieur sont sympas cependant la salle de bain n’est vraiment pas pratique. La baignoire est beaucoup trop courte est trop profonde et surtout le débit d’eau est tellement lent il faut une heure pour la remplir… pareil pour la douche, pas assez de débit. J’ai trouvé qu’il faisait beaucoup trop chaud dans la chambre, la clim ne fonctionnait pas alors qu’il avait fait 30° dehors la journée. Pas facile d’ouvrir les vitres car beaucoup de nuisances sonores avec le tram Sinon, le lit est confortable. Dommage que ce soit deux matelas assemblée, plutôt qu’un seul… Le petit déjeuner sur le Rooftop très sympa en particulier niveau salé la partie sucré est beaucoup moins garni Je n’ai pas eu l’occasion de tester le spa En résumé,, Hotel sympathique pratique pour ce qui ont un train le lendemain Accueil très sympathique et professionnel . Je trouve le prix de la chambre trop élevé contenu des prestations

As much as I am keen in giving a five star rating, I am rather disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom. I just arrived from BCN and went out dinner then returned to wash my face - as soon I had dried using their towels, it smelled like poop as it wasn’t cleaned properly & it still has dried feces on it. Not to mention toilet wasn’t cleaned properly as it have remaining feces is inside it. I had complained and had transferred me to a room that had similar condition. A lady came to inspect the room I decided to stayed in as I decided not be transferred but was told toilet cannot be cleaned the way I had requested, which is remove the hardened feces, as it was some sort of calcium deposit. Totally ridiculous. Anyhow, the reception was accommodating & seems genuinely nice,& location was good as it is centrally located - near the main train station in Montpellier.

The taxi from the Gare St Roche to the hotel took 20 minutes and cost 20 euros. (We later walked back to the station which was only a kilometre away) We arrived at the hotel at 1pm hoping we may be able to check in early. Instead we were advised to store our luggage at the hotel as check in was not until 4pm. This was deflating as it was a really hot day. There was little empathy shown by the staff. We checked in after 4pm and were advised what was prohibited plus a deposit of 250 euro was required. This was surprising as we were only staying for 13 hours. The room was ok with a tiny shower that was difficult to move in, a small kitchenette and 2 single beds pushed together. Staff were friendly but inflexible. The rate was reasonable but factor in taxi & public transport costs. Walking down the corridor to the room requires going through 4 or 5 doors where the lights go on after you go through the door and the earlier lights go off. It is eerie and reminded me of the kid in The Shining. Not a bad hotel, but not customer focused and a bit far from the centre of a very ordinary town.
