Hotel 2 Bintang di Morro Bay

From the moment we arrived at the Masterpiece Hotel, we knew we were in for a treat. Our room boasted a stunning view, and it was the perfect backdrop for relaxing after a day of exploring Morro Bay. The customer support was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff always willing to go the extra mile. Speaking of treats, the breakfast was a delightful surprise. Fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit, and the amazing make-your-own waffle station had us fueled up and ready to take on the day. The waffles were truly a highlight - fluffy, crispy, and customizable with an array of toppings. It was a fun and delicious way to start the morning. Beyond the view, breakfast, and customer service, the overall experience at the Masterpiece Hotel was awesome. The room was clean and comfortable, the public spaces were inviting, and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, and the beach. We truly felt we were staying in a masterpiece itself! If you're looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in Morro Bay, look no further than the Masterpiece Hotel. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

The hotel is comfortable, clean and is situated in a great location to access the bay, shops and restaurants. We rarely needed to use the car to drive anywhere, we always walked. We had an amazing view of the Morro rock as well. Breakfast was good and decent. Would stay there again on our next Morro Bay trip.

So location is great, That's about the only thing great about it. The breakfast that's included is a coupon for a cinnamon roll next door. Yes just one cinnamon roll. No coffee. The tools are outdated, The bed was small, not quite a queen size. It's alright...

Everything about our stay at Sundown Inn was excellent. Room was quiet, comfy and squeaky clean. Service, especially from the owner Ann, was warm, friendly and efficient. Well located to explore Morro Bay and surrounding area. The room rate was truly a bargain. Simple, no frills (but everything you’ll need!) motel that we will select for all our further stays in Morro Bay. Highly recommend! Thank you Ann!

We were in Morro over the July 4th weekend and stayed here a second time. I was so impressed that they made improvements because they already had enough good reviews to coast on them. Their breakfast room was open, and the complimentary selection was wide - it's the same as any Hampton Inn / family branded chain with waffle machines, eggs, sausages, oatmeal, etc. - as a mom with 3 bouncy young kids I so appreciated having this full spread that we normally only get in chain hotels. The rooms are better appointed than our last stay as the tv had been upgraded - now with a big selection of channels with a lot of choice for kids. There was a microwave in the room as well which wasn't there last time, and all the furniture seemed newer. Even in the breakfast room things seemed new. We took advantage of the coffee in the lobby throughout our stay. One tip to note - the front desk isn't manned 24 hours a day, but they do seem to have a working system for coverage or will leave signs if they have stepped away. I would recommend checking in before 9pm if you can. The other new thing was a staff member Leighanna who was so sweet and accommodating to our family. When we mentioned our plans to visit Cambria, she also recommended a trip to a glassblowing art studio in Harmony along the way that turned out to be really cute and so worth the stop. I also was worried about needing to access internet for a work call past checkout and she was so helpful in making arrangements for me. Girl if you are reading this, we wish you all the best, you totally made our trip special.

Disliked · Room was horrible! Mattress was so lumpy and worn out couldn't find a comfortable spot! Upon entering the room we had to open all the windows and leave the door open for about 20 mins to air our the strong stench of bleach. The floor was disgustingly filthy! After returning from a couple hours out, a shower was going to feel wonderful! I went to get into the shower when I noticed the bottom of my feet left a dirt mark on the bath mat, when I looked at the bottom of my feet they were literally black. I ask my wife to check hers as well, Hers were black as well. I took the bath mat and shuffled across the floor and the mat was black beyond belief. When I went to show the owner the towel and condition of the floor he said to go and pack my stuff and leave now he would give me a refund!!! I told him there were no other vacancies or I would! He didn't even offer another room but did say that when maintenance came in the morning he would ask them to clean the room. Then he told me to wear shoes in the room. He said it wasn't dirty that the maids used an oil based cleaner! The next morning I showed the maids the issue and she said she can't do anything about it as the owner gives them 20 mins per room to clean. I then asked what they clean the floors with and she said the owner only allows a little water and a rag.... When I asked why the room smell so strong of bleach she said because owner have their pets stay and the bleach was the only way to get rid of the pee smell. I would not recommend this place to my enemy. If you want to enjoy your visit to Morro Bay STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!! You have been warned!!!

Large, clean room. Nice location and able to walk to stores and restaurants. The only thing is I think the pet fee should be for the stay and not per night.

Our room at the Sea Air Inn was lovely! The space was clean, updated and huge! Aside from the very comfortable King bed, there were two comfy sofas and a coffee table for lounging. Nice to be able relax and enjoy our coffee. The ocean view was spectacular. From our window we could see the famous Morro Rock, sailboats in the water and the waterfront activity. Location was perfect; it was a walk across the street to the stairway that lead down to the shops and restaurants on the waterfront. Sea Air Inn is central to everything, you won't need your car. Check in was easy, staff very friendly and gave us lots of useful info about the different options for dining. We will stay here again!

Fantastic staff, ideal location, & super-comfy room... a great Morro Bay choice!
