GGuest UserI booked the Superior Queen room but when I checked in, they informed me the room type was fully booked and they wanted to give 3 pax room, free upgrade but I declined because I did not like to stay in a bigger room alone. So, I told the FO to give me any room for 2 pax which Deluxe Queen room with the river view. During night time it was a bit scary since the window was facing big trees. The room was clean and comfortable. WIFI speed and connection was good. The hotel had a parking lot in the basement but was quite limited. For breakfast, just okay for me. It was the view, that made it a good breakfast time. Nevertheless, for business travelers, I do recommend this hotel to stay.

IilkashongThe location very good. You can walk to many famous restaurants in Ipoh old town. All not more than ten minute, very convenient.
House is very big and bed is comfortable. But the smell from the sewer is very strong and extremely unpleasant. It helped when you close the toiletâs door.
Not much soundproof,you can hear other guests walking and chatting at the corridor. It can be quite noisy in the morning and night when people passing by.
The design of the car park is a nightmare. Itâs octagon shaped - really challenging when you drive the car up to level 7 in one go.
The management team quite approachable. They will collect RM300 for damage deposit through credit card. And will return in 1-2 days after your check out. ( I havenât checked if I received the return).

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near Ipoh's city center, just a 10-minute walk away. Ipoh Railway Station is also only 20 minutes from the hotel. You'll find one of Ipoh's few chain fast-food restaurants right nearby.
Ipoh's Old Town isn't very large, and many businesses there are closed. However, this hotel made me decide to extend my stay and truly discover the extraordinary hidden gems of this city.
Looking forward to my next visit!

YYoung KerThe hotel offers simple and clean accommodations, and although it is an older establishment, it is well-maintained. A cash deposit of RM50 is required, which may be inconvenient for guests who do not typically carry much cash. The presence of numerous dogs along the pavement outside can be intimidating. My room faced the road, resulting in some traffic noise. Aeon is conveniently located across the road, accessible by car, and several restaurants are situated on the same row as the hotel.

TTravel LostIâm from Ipoh and brought my Friends here for a short gateway . What a wonderful hotel to stay . Walking distance to famous restaurants and attractions. Easy to grab . Beside a restaurant got a nice restaurant to dine in especially the tou fu fa !!! Much nicer than the famous one . Another Japanese restaurant just beside the hotel . I will definitely recommended for all .

GGuest UserFor the price, I think it is a reasonable option. Â However objectively:
1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking. Â The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the âfixâ was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about. Â To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.Â
2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews. Â However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.Â
3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the âmake my roomâ card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both. Â They only cleaned 1. Â I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.Â
4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.Â
5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.Â
6. The staff were helpful and friendly. Â Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).Â
7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible. Â It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.Â
All in all, it was a decent stay. Â Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained.Â

AAnonymous UserWorth the price you pay! Great location, just beside the highway. Everything is clean, aircond was functioning well, the room is nice. Itâs just that the small fridge is not functioning and the water pressure is kinda slow. But I donât really mind. The front desk was also nice. I will reconsider staying at this hotel again for a short staycation.

If you're looking for a peaceful, luxurious stay with a stunning natural backdrop, this is the place to be. The apartment complex is situated on a beautiful hillside, offering panoramic views of Ipohâs lush greenery and limestone hills.
Apartment Features:
The apartment I stayed in was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It had an open-concept layout that combined a comfortable living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy dining nook. The kitchen had all the essentialsâfridge, stove, microwave, and even a washing machine, making it perfect for longer stays. The living room had a large flat-screen TV and comfy seating, creating a great space for relaxation. The bedroom was cozy with a large, comfortable bed, and the bathroom had a clean, modern feel with a spacious shower and high-quality amenities. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, especially with Ipohâs warm weather.
Service:
While staying at The Cove Hillside, I felt like I had the best of both worldsâprivacy and comfort, but with access to excellent service. The staff was incredibly friendly, offering quick check-in/check-out and always willing to help with any requests. Housekeeping was efficient, keeping the apartment spotless during my stay. They also provided helpful information on local attractions, making it easy to explore the area.
Amenities:
One of the standout features of The Cove Hillside is the range of amenities. The infinity pool is absolutely breathtaking, offering sweeping views of the surrounding hills. Itâs the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machines and free weights, great for staying in shape. Thereâs also a barbecue area that can be reserved for gatherings, which adds a nice touch for family or group stays. Plus, the complex is gated with 24-hour security, so I felt very safe and secure throughout my stay.

GGrace PangiranWe stayed at Ipoh Bali Hotel for 4 days and 3 nights for our honeymoon, and weâre truly so grateful we chose a local honeymoon instead of flying overseas. This place made our trip feel peaceful, romantic, and memorable.
From the moment we checked in, Raidah was incredibly warm, helpful, and friendly and she even checked us out at the end of our stay. Her hospitality really made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the trip.
All the staff we met during our stay were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Every time we walked past, we were greeted with smiles, which made the atmosphere feel so warm and comfortable.
We also had massages during our stay, and the masseuses were amazing. The service honestly felt like a 5-star experience, professional, relaxing, and exactly what we needed after the wedding.
A special mention to the breakfast team as well, especially May, who was so kind and attentive. The food was excellent. We loved it so much that we ordered the same dishes twice during our stay, the Balinese chicken porridge and the Balinese rice set (canât remember the exact name, but it was so good!).
The room itself was spacious with beautiful high ceilings, giving such a cozy Bali-inspired atmosphere. One of our favourite parts was the sound of flowing water from the balcony at night
It was incredibly calming and helped us sleep so well. The bathroom was also very spacious and came with a lovely bathtub, which made the whole honeymoon experience even more special.
Honestly, the hotel felt like a 5-star resort experience to us, so we were surprised to find out itâs officially rated 3 stars. The service, atmosphere, and overall experience exceeded our expectations.
Overall, this was the perfect honeymoon stay for us, and we will definitely come back again in the future.
