si tratta di un albergo a due stelle pertanto le aspettative non potevano essere troppo alte per quanto riguarda l’arredo dell’albergo e delle stanze che sono in effetti molto squallidi. Mai una colazione è stata tanto misera e triste; se anche avessimo voluto integrarla pagando non avremmo potuto ordinare neanche un succo di frutta industriale perché non era disponibile. tuttavia ciò che ci ha colpito di più è stata la scortesia dello staff; mai in un mese trascorso in tante diverse regioni di questo paese abbiamo sperimentato una tale maleducazione e ***canza di rispetto verso il cliente, così lontani dal concetto tipico di accoglienza indiana. Il nostro tour operator ha erroneamente prenotato una notte anziché due, così ci siamo trovati sbattuti fuori dalla camera la mattina del nostro ultimo giorno, proprio quello della ripartenza. senza la minima traccia di panico io ho pensato ad un misunderstanding con il nostro operatore e ho cercato con lui la soluzione nel modo più pacifico possibile, ossia integrando il pagamento per una seconda notte. il proprietario, con una ***canza assoluta di savoir faire ha soltanto urlato come un vero pazzo fin dal primo istante senza nessuna ragione e invece di dirci un semplice e accettabile “mi dispiace, purtroppo non abbiamo altre camere disponibili”, ha continuato a urlare e sembrava divertito. Un’esperienza di sgarbatezza gratuita. Non esiste un motivo per cui scegliere di venire in questo albergo it is a two-star hotel therefore expectations could not be too high as regards the furnishings of the hotel and the rooms which are in fact very shabby. Never has a breakfast been so miserable and sad; even if we had wanted to integrate it by paying we could not have ordered even an industrial fruit juice because it was not available. however what struck us the most was the rudeness of the staff; never in a month spent in so ***y different regions of this country have we experienced such rudeness and lack of respect towards the customer, so far from the typical concept of Indian hospitality. Our tour operator mistakenly booked one night instead of two, so we found ourselves kicked out of the room on the morning of our last day, the very day of departure. without the slightest trace of panic, I thought of a misunderstanding with our operator and sought the solution with him in the most peaceful way possible, that is, integrating the payment for a second night. the owner, with an absolute lack of savoir faire just yelled like a ****** from the very first moment for no reason and instead of telling us a simple and acceptable ”I'm sorry, unfortunately we have no other rooms available”, he continued to yell and seemed amused. A free rudeness experience. There is no reason to choose to come to this hotel

The hotel is one of a kind--with style, elegancy and excellency. The location is definitely the most attractive point. All staff are friendly and polite. The breakfast spread was nice. It was a enjoyable stay.

When a guest stays for such a long period of time, it is quite natural to come across hotel employees who make the guests' stay comfortable on a day to day basis. They talk to the guests about their well-being, the places to visit in the city, restaurants and markets to explore and about the life in general. It is for this reason that I would like to make a special mention of attentive,kind and professional employees such as Mr. Pradeep (Restaurant), Mr. Rohit Kumar (House Keeping), Mr. Sharad (Restaurant) and Mr. Sachin (Marketing) for making my stay at “The Shalimar Hotel” a memorable experience. I hope that I would be received with the same enthusiasm and warmth when I go there next time. It is for this reason that I would like to recommend “The Shalimar Hotel” for a comfortable as well as a pleasant stay to all my friends, relatives and family members. Amazing experience. The service and attention to detail live up to the St. Regis brand and reputation. It was crowded but staff remember your name and go out of their way to make every detail of your stay memorable. Abihijit at the Seven Fires restaurant took excellent care of us and was a pleasure to chat with. Chef Taj at Sahib prepared an incredible off the menu meal for us. We used their cars for 2 days and was worth every penny. Having the comfort of their drivers and car to ***euver through this city is priceless. They know the best street food areas, shopping and sights. Trying to do this on our own would have been a *** endeavor. The only peculiarity of this property is the propensity of guests to have breakfast in their pajamas while donning hotel slippers. The the Spa is next level. We did a couples package and it was a welcome experience after a week on the road. Possibly best spa experience we have had and again, incredible service and facility. The value of this hotel is almost laughable given the price. A similar experience in Europe or the States and you are going to pay 4-5x the price. This was a stay we will relish for a longtime. The bar has been set very high by this outstanding property.

Had an absolutely amazing time at four seasons! From the kindness and the smiles from all the staff to the cleanliness and spacious room. Everything was perfect! We were lucky to have our roon upgraded, and there were balloons, cute sweets, and a chocolate cake at our room! Which was a wonderful surprise and made our engagement and my fiancee's birthday celebration even more special! Room service was super efficient, and the food was amazing! Dinner at san:qi was pleasant! Good interiors and not at all loud, perfect place to go on an intimate date. The food was great, and so was the service - special thanks to Nikhil, who took care of us!! Overall, it was a great experience! Hospitality at its finest! 100% recommend.

We are in this hotel as I write, room 1207. Having spent the last 2 weeks travelling around India it is a great pleasure to end up at this hotel. We are so grateful for the almost instant and abundant hot water in the impressive shower and the working and easily controlled AC in the room. The room is lovely with a very comfortable bed and the cleaning staff are excellent. Only 1 of our party tried the breakfast (420 rupees - not included in our nightly rate) . She said it was ok but probably a little overpriced in Indian terms. The reception staff are very helpful, printing our our boarding passes for flight home. The area around the hotel is a little down at heel, but there are several supermarkets, ATMs and places to eat nearby. There are always plenty of taxis around as the property is next to a petrol station. Enjoying our stay here.
