There were 2 people ahead of us at check-In but it was over 45 minutes before we were able to get to the desk. There was only one attendant and the people ahead of us had a lost reservation. Annoying but fine…. It happens. Then, our room key doesn’t work, we get replacements and those don’t work either. It’s now been over an hour and we still aren’t in our room…. The one front desk attendant is the ONLY person working and came up to let us in with a key…. But this meant delaying other peoples checkin so she could come upstairs with us. We finally get in and the tv does not work or turn on…. The list goes on. All small things but the build up of items is really frustrating. The hotel looks completely dishelved, and dirty (the rooms however were clean enough though… the one and only saving grace. I should add the girl at the desk was very pleasant but clearly overwhelmed. These issues are not her fault but she’s been left alone to handle them. I saw other people heading back to the desk with tv remotes and keys… so I imagine we aren’t the only people having trouble. Anyways, we’ve previously stayed at the Quality Inn on ecclestone and will return there next time. We won’t come back here. Comparable price but absolutely not a comparable experience.

Upon arrival arrival for check-in the person at the desk was very friendly and courteous. The room was very clean and spacious and felt very cosy. My group had 3 people and we all had plenty if space to move around and had we slept comfortably. There is a boat launching area for guests and the parking lit can accommodate cars with their boats in tow. The hotel is right next to the Muskoka Steamship Discovery Centre and there are a few restaurants within walking distance. The only issue is most of restaurants close around 9pm so you must eat early. Our group enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area for a visit or just to go on a short trip to relax. The steamship ship cruises are a must do and is the main attraction in this area. I will definitely return to this area for another visit.

I loved the big rock in the front entrance and all the plants around it. Very nice staff.Very clean room.Checkout was easy and fast. I will be back and bring family Gravenhurst is a lovely spottY felt very safe there.

We were unsure what to expect based on reviews but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. This hotel was gem. Cleanliness was A+. The hotel amenities such as pool and games room kept the kids busy and ice cream across the roads was an added extra! I found the staff to be pleasant, our room and areas we were in was very clean. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant it was just ok, not many options for vegetarians and price was a little high on my opinion. Overall we would stay again!
