The Serai Kabini

Our recent stay Serai Kabini was excellent !!! Rooms are charming and located right on waterfront and one can see beautiful birds and hear melodious bird song right from the rooms. Very comfortably sized rooms, beautiful glass skylight in the washroom , amenities well stocked and first time we got several savoury and sweet goodies and juices all complimentary in our rooms! Staff is extremely attentive and very courteous. Food is excellent especially the breakfast spread and the South Indian specialities in the a la cart menus. Chef was so helpful and gracious to suggest a special off the menu item Benarasi Bedmi Puri sabji for us! The Dosa at breakfast was to die for ; amazing taste! Safaris were arranged very smoothly . Enjoyed our free coraical ride. Naturalist Mr Shekhar showed us many birds during the Nature walk in the property and during boat safari and jeep safari. Enjoyed using the hammock ; reading books from the library and the beautiful ambience of the property , greenery and landscaping . Food pricing for meals was also quite reasonable . Would recommend this resort to everyone ! !!

Setai Kabini is just a picture perfect resort on the banks of the Kabini reservoir. We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights here in a Waterfront Villa and were served extremely well by all the staff. The villa itself is not very spacious but is very well maintained. It was a bit far from the reception and restaurant but we always got their buggy service on call. The food was great and the breakfast buffet spread was all very decent. The overall property is huge and well maintained. Coming to the main attraction of Kabini, the wildlife safari; the resort manages the jeep/cantor booking for both the morning and afternoon safaris which starts from the JLR which is just few hundred metres away from Serai. Serai arranges for pickup and drop to JLR. We did one morning boat safari and one afternoon jeep safari. Unfortunately we couldn’t see the big cats but other than that we were lucky to see all the other animals with deers and elephants in hundreds. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Serai Kabini and would definitely recommend.

We recently visited The Serai Kabini on a family vacation .From the moment we stepped foot on the property till the time we left every aspect of our stay was five stars in terms of luxury, comfort and being taken care of. Since we were traveling with our parents who are senior citizens, we needed to call for a buggy service every time they needed to go from our room to breakfast and back or to the spa or wherever they needed to go. The buggy service was readily available and everybody served us with a smiling face and extreme politeness . Something very peculiar about the staff at Serai is that everyone has a ready smile on their face and everybody is very eager to help. I would like to take this opportunity to make a special mention of the different staff members of Serai who took care of us in during our stay : Housekeeping : Shivappa Rajshekar Laxmaiyya Buggy driver :Prompt arrival.Helped aged parents in and out of the buggy readily . Manjunath Dining: Thripila Prabhakar Sidraju Santosh Salim and Mahesh are great front office staff as well !

We wanted to explore Nagarhole National Park and so visited Kabini this March. We stayed at The Serai, Kabini for 4 days. Below is the summary of our overall experience - -Location: The Serai, Kabini is at an excellent location, located by Kabini backwaters offering beautiful views of the lake. They offer various a activities like kayaking, coracle ride etc. -Staff: Extremely courteous and helpful staff. Each and every staff member right from the Frontdesk, to the restaurant staff, to the naturalist, to the house keeping staff to the spa, everyone is really nice and would go out of their way to make you feel nurtured and cared for. -Resort: The resort itself is very beautiful and they maintain very good hygiene standards -Safari: They would help book safaris for you and provide transport to and fro. Safari points. Both boat safari as well as jeep safari are very good. We spotted tigers, elephants, crocodiles etc during our visit. The naturalist from The Serai would try their level best to help you spot a tiger and various other animals -Food: Quality (as in how it tastes), can be made better -Spa: The Spa staff, and cleanliness are great, services may be better. So overall, we are very satisfied and happy with our experience specially because of the location of the resort as well as the staff. We had a very comfortable stay here. Anyone who wants to visit Kabini, must definitely stay at The Serai, Kabini for best experience

We stayed for one night with friends and we booked the top category room. Room was clean, nice and the restaurant on site was good. If you visit, I would recommend staying for more than one night as the safari experience can be done in a more relaxed way than we did. Staff are nice and friendly also. I recommend taking warm clothes for the morning safari if you opt to do that.

Amazing place with great ambience and service. The entire property is beautifully maintained and the staffs are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers varieties of good and tasty food. Nature walk, jungle safari and water activities is a must in this place.
