It was most wonderful experience! Ambience & services were amazing! View of lake from deck is amazing.. Staff was polite, courteous & always present at your back & call .. Property’s GM Mr D S Jina, Executive Chef Mr Chandan Parihar & their team was superb… Food was superb & healthy.. Wish to visit Naini Retreat again & again ! God bless them all !

One of the most amazing and elegant properties we have ever stayed. Away from the hustle bustle of Nainital, still just 10 min walk to the market and lake. The property has the most spectacular lake view from the deck. Most elegant vintage rooms, Best hospitality, with personal attention to each guest, Amazing food and each and every dish was delicious with superb deserts. Special thanks to the manager Mr. Shrikant Tiwari, very friendly and reachable, who is an encyclopaedia of Uttarakhand and can very well guide you to make your trip full of amazing experiences. Also, thanks to the ever helpful Talib khan , Tara and Radhey ji. Thanks for an amazing stay and experience.

Superb Hospitality, Neat and clean rooms. Calmness and serenity at its best.. No need to think again to book any place in Nanital. Breakfast was having so many varieties and hospitality was too good. Looking forward for my next stay in Naini retreat in upcoming months.

The location of hotel is in top can be confusing if way is not consulted from localites donot follow google maps.It can be difficult for elders with knee problem to walk on the stairs .Checkin was seamless guys at reception are good.Bell boys also do a pretty good job.The room we booked was very small cherry on the top the cupboard was very dirty the room had no minibar which was a surprise hotels with way less charges also cater for minibar i would suggest to book rooms of higher category if u wish to spend more time in room .I had booked breakfast and dinner with room the buffet spread is a disappointment for mindful eating people though chicken and mutton was good .I had requested masala omlette with minimum oil but it was floating in oil dosa was burnt .Quality of fooding can be improved a lot .To sum up buffet is like dhaba type instead of fine dining with such steep room charges .The service at Gunrey house is very good people make u comfortable especially the younger lot the older lot is more into pleasing people asking their room number and behaving accordingly they need to change their attitude its a service industry.The bar is gud they are doing great job though understaffed .The housekeeping is also upto mark though the cupboard was not cleaned .The flute in morning and music session in evening is a good way to entertain guests but basics need to be looked upon .Yoga teacher Mr Vishwakarma is very good .Spa treatment is also good.lake tour with drop at rudrapur was very pleasant and well coordinated the driver was very courteous kudos to him . I thank everyone who helped us during our stay with their service will be definitely returning to see that the hotel can rectify thier small shortcomings and can provide more luxurious service.

This is somewhat like a heritage property… A vacation palace of Maharajas turned into hotel… Location great… ambience amazing… Service in room quite slow…charging for a bucket of ice … not acceptable as the prices of the stay are quite high…. Special mention though is that the hotel provides shuttle services to mall road to all their guests… Mr.Jitendra Bist…. He works as a driver…he was extremely polite ,helpful and punctual…. He was a gem of a person… another person was Mr.Tara… he made sure the guests are treated well… and well fed… Thank you for your hospitality… Had a pleasant stay…
