A hotel with great views and facilities. The room is spacious, but the price we paid per night draws disappointment when we noticed the state of cleanliness of the room. The curtains were dusty, window corners has webs and the most disappointing was the bathtub that has mould and dirt in it. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect location to stay in Sun Moon Lake area !

The service from the staff was very good & perlite. The place is clean & has free drinks & snack at the lobby. Breakfast was good & nice. There is a night market but only operated on weekend. It’s the cheapest place to stay.

La habitación es sencilla pero es solo para ti, esta limpia y tienes todo lo que necesitas, para mi fue suficiente y perfecta.
El colchón está en el suelo, elevado con una tarima. Hay secador, televisión. El baño es pequeño, pero suficiente y limpio

床很好睡、空間超大又有小庭院，難怪房間都沒有煙味，因為對於要抽煙的人可以走出小庭院抽，這點非常棒～唯一小小缺點就是冬天泡澡天花板上的灑水是冷水，打在頭上很冷不舒服到我們趕快關掉～關掉還會滴滴答答，所以冬天可以不用開灑水了～早餐也吃得飽，比簡便中還好一些，

超級喜歡積木家，雖然休假還要帶著工作加班，來到這裡就是非常放鬆，小小缺點是床有點偏硬，但整體來說，很值得給滿分。
入住當天的下午茶和隔天早上的早餐，精緻也吃得出民宿主人的用心，下一次還會再來積木家！

Every accommodation in the mountains side (cingjing) will surely have insects. So it's normal to spot a few in the room, just catch/chase them out and close the insect netting to stop them from coming in. For the price paid, I would say my stay there is really a good deal, the young man at the reception is very polite and professional. Will surely recommend this stay to my friends. Thank you.

浴室一看就喜歡，大的很剛好，雖然沒有浴缸，整間浴室用白色大理石磁磚，又有免治馬桶，很是享受洗浴的時間！
床也好睡，稍硬的床墊很適合我！
早餐品項不多，偏偏就是我喜歡的食物，煎鯖魚、炒蔬菜、奶油吐司、生菜沙拉還配4種手調醬汁，也有優格，可能是早餐網路評價不佳的關係嗎，還免費提供帕尼尼三明治，也好好吃喔！咖啡是研磨咖啡，旁邊還有製冰機可以做冰美式喝，開心呀！

去日月潭好多次，竟然沒發現有家這麼漂亮的城堡，這次非常期待入住，位置離日月潭和埔里都不遠，大約20分鐘左右，到埔里市區吃飯很方便。房間有浴缸，但階梯很陡容易滑倒，要很小心。隔天的早餐有點小失望，是一盤早餐，飲料有自助吧，食物樣式和份量不算多，生菜只有一小片，建議可以增加沙拉吧及一些水果。另外，服務生要我們用餐後把餐具自己放到回收車，這讓我很驚訝，早餐不是自助的，也只是一個盤子，難道服務員不能協助收走嗎？這麼漂亮有質感的環境，放了一台回收餐車（見照片）,真的很突兀，有點失望。希望飯店能更好，提升服務品質，整體上我們還是滿意

PPengguna TetamuLocation is super convenient, barely 50m from the 7-eleven and SML's Nantou Bus Ticketing counter where Nantou Bus 6670 from Taichung drop passengers. The ground floor of the B&B is a elegantly decorated tea-shop and had a pleasant whiff of red-dates chinese tea, very welcoming on a hot day. Our room was nicely renovated, very cosy and clean, well laid out, with Taiwan cable channels and Youtube smart TV box. It has modern toilet fittings and very refreshing lightly scented shampoo and body wash in dispensers. The lady at the counter (小芸) was absolutely helpful. She sold us discounted ferry tickets compared to buying from the counters at the pier, explained activities to do and places to visit and boat/bus routes around SML when we arrived and gave us a WhatsApp to contact her for any queries. She also advised us to visit Itashao to taste the street foods for lunch and recommend places for dinner through WhatsApp after returning to Shiushe without pushing us to visit the restaurants nor buy tea from the shop. Truly warm ********* hospitality and the best part of staying in this B&B.

PPEASHOOTSThe hotel was beautiful, about 50 meters from the pier as you get off the boat. The hotel staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. Our room was available before our check-in time which was really handy and the room was incredibly clean and spacious.
The staff do go above and beyond to ensure your stay with them meets your needs and will aid in organising transport that fits in with your itinerary.
We’ve never stayed in a hotel where it felt the staff genuinely cared about our time spent in their area. After worrying over how to get from Sun Moon Lake to our next destination, the hotel staff helped plan our bus routes, arrange a taxi service and called us in the morning to ensure we were up for the very early bus we needed to catch.
Ita Thao in our opinion is the best side of the lake to stay, everyone is very friendly and the street food is much better. In addition the cable car service is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, which takes you to the beautiful Aboriginal Village and theme park. Boat rides, paddle boats, kayaks, bikes, electric scooters are all a stones throw from the hotel and a 15 minute cycle from Wenwu Temple.
We did in-depth research into all the accommodation around the whole of Sun Moon Lake and we can say for certain, this hotel is perfect.

CChongWe had an enjoyable stay at Euro Country Villa. It is located on a high hill thus need own vehicle if you want to stay here. The view is tremendously beautiful and the old England is right in front (lower level in geography). The room is very clean, no heater airconditioner but each double bed provided with heater matrress to keep us warm which is sufficient and comfortable. PPengguna TetamuWent during mid dec and was worry about the room having no heater. But the room was just nice with the temperature similar to a normal aircon room and there is heater in the bed. Hot water for shower was constant. Room is very clean. No lift. We use the slope for luggage and only few steps for carrying the luggage. Best part is the star gazing at 830pm and we are lucky enough to have the clouds cleared and saw a few shooting stars!!!! Such luck!!! In the morning, we saw the clouds within the mountain! Very pretty view!!! Breakfast was simple but tasted good. As we hired a driver, we didnt need to walk out to the complex for dinner, but the road do look v dark and very narrow at night.

DDarrenAbout 5-7 minutes walk from the Sun moon lake drop off area, which was convenient. The room was a lot bigger than I expected, did not expect to have an additional bed as I was travelling solo. With another travelling companion it would be really worth the price. There was even an entire outside area! Staff were friendly, and also provided breakfast, which was nice. The location of the room is about another 2-3 minutes walk from the reception, and was quiet and relaxing even in the day. Only concern might be that the rooms might feel abit old (being a wooden cabin and all) and eerie at night, since there is not much lighting. Also WiFi is not very good in the room

Lokasi hanya 2 minit berjalan kaki ke taman Switzerland dan sangat mudah kerana terdapat 7eleven di sekitar dan juga perhentian bas ulang-alik.
Kebersihan: Bilik hotel dan keseluruhan tempat agak kemas dan bersih.
Perkhidmatan: Hebat, kakitangan sangat membantu dengan segala-galanya dan mereka juga membenarkan kami mendaftar masuk awal yang amat dihargai kerana kami dalam perjalanan dengan kanak-kanak berumur 2 tahun.

Room was as per advertised. Spacious enough for a family of 4.
Toothbrush, comb, shavers and towels are available too.
Staff was good and clear of information. Just be mindful that after 8pm onwards, there would be no staff around - so you would require to remember the password of the main entrance.
NOTE: There's no English T&Cs, so be prepared to have your Google translator on your phone if you can't read Chinese.
Constant hot water for shower would be from 5PM to 12PM daily. If you would to shower earlier in the morning, you would require let the water run for awhile before the hot water is available otherwise you may have to shower with icy cold water.
Generally, you would require a transport within Cingjing else it's not accessible for you to grab food or your necessities from the 7-11.
Breakfast is available at NT$200/pax from 7:30AM - 9AM. Brunch is available at ala carte prices ranging from NT$150 onwards from 9AM - 2PM. Restaurants are available within Cingjing if you have your own transportation. Otherwise, you may wish to call the cafe located at the Swiss Garden, they do offer food delivery but be sure to check on their operating hours. 😀

JJack Maa”For Non-Drivers: Navigating Transportation Can Be Tricky, but Exceptional Service and Spectacular Views Await”
If you don't have access to a car, be prepared for a few transportation challenges. Walking to and from the bus stop to Cing Jing Farm can be a bit challenging, as there are no dedicated pedestrian pathways, and you'll be sharing the road with trucks and lorries. The nearest 711 convenience store is a considerable distance away, and I wouldn't recommend walking there due to safety concerns.
On the plus side, the hotel's customer service is exceptional, particularly their prompt responses on LINE. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions about navigating the sometimes confusing public transport system.
One of the standout features is the breathtaking view from the balcony. On clear days, you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets, making it a fantastic spot to relax. While some guests have mentioned concerns about sound insulation, I personally didn't find it to be a major issue. However, it's worth noting that noise from neighboring rooms, especially if there are children, maybe more noticeable due to the wooden floors.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at Shuian Lakeside Hotel for 2 nights, and the hospitality throughout our stay was the best that I've ever experienced. Everyone at the hotel was amazing, most especially the owners. Mrs. Hwang, I believe is her name, was one of them, and she went above and beyond. She was very accommodating with our request to change our room when we first arrived. The next day, when she found out we were heading to Wenwu Temple, which would take 20 minutes by bus, she offered to drive us since she was heading that direction. Later that night, she and her husband took the time to help us figure out which early bus to take in order for us to make our connection to Taichung Station. When we asked where the bus stop was, she went a step further to show us by taking us there personally! The hotel's location was perfect — by the lake and in the center of everything. The room was new, clean and comfortable. And what a bonus, breakfast was included! I was very pleased with the breakfast, which consisted of porridge, eggs, vegetables and 6 other dishes. Bananas were also provided. It kept us full till late in the afternoon. I enjoyed staying in Ita Thao, and Mrs. Hwang definitely made it special and memorable. I appreciate her warmth and kindness. If you're looking for a good hotel and people, I definitely recommend Shuian Lakeside Hotel.

Note the place is not a manned desk so you go to the hot pot shop to the left of the guesthouse (I found this out from reading other reviews as we weren’t sent any check-in info in advance) and they will check you in. Be aware if you are getting into SML from elsewhere by bus and you arrive after about 5pm it will be difficult to get to Ida Thao as the bus terminal is the opposite side at Shuise and the last ‘round the lake bus’ leaves at about 5pm and it’s not walkable. We got a coach from Taipei which broke down so we weren’t able to get to SML until almost 9pm and actually had to book somewhere in Shuise last minute instead for the first night. Trip.com says this place has a ‘taxi booking service’ however this isn’t the case when we enquired. The actual guesthouse is nice, spacious and just next to the food street and few mins walks to the pier.
