Hotel La Residence offers an excellent location from which to explore historic Narbonne. Our room was comfortable and restful. The staff were helpful and friendly. The decor blends historic elegance and chic modern touches. Definitely recommend.

We had a very nice stay at this property. It is in an excellent location within five minutes walk to the main part of town. The people are super friendly and helpful. They provided assistance with things to see and do. Maps and directions to the Tourist Office. They provided us with ice when needed and even let us enjoy their sitting room while we waited for our train. The rooms are simple but welcoming. The bed is super comfortable and the wi-fi worked well. We would definitely recommend this lovely property.

This is a nice hotel just a short stroll from the centre of Narbonne. The public areas are very nice and the staff are extremely helpful. The only (small) issue is that the bedrooms could do with some modernisation and there is some mould in the shower. The shower head does not look as though it has been cleaned for a while! I do recommend the hotel as it provides an excellent base in Narbonne and is just a short distance from the train station.

We were in Narbonne for only a single evening before boarding a 7-night cruise down the Canal du Midi and Hotel La Residence stood out as the best hotel listed on Trip Advisor...and clearly it is the best in Narbonne! This beautiful old hotel is exceptionally well maintained with a beautiful lobby area, fantastic staircases, comfortable breakfast rooms and lovely meeting chamber on the first floor. The rooms, like all hotels in Europe, are smaller compared to American hotel rooms, but still spacious and have every amenity that anyone could want. The rooms are tidy, comfortable and light. The bathrooms are roomy with modern fixtures and everything one needs. Breakfast at the hotel was delightful, with a full range of excellent options. And the staff was beyond accommodating....they helped us with all of our bags, greeting us and arranging our check in and made sure that everything was to our liking. A really excellent experience. Definitely this is the best hotel in Narbonne and clearly is the only place I would ever stay if visiting Narbonne. Thank you for taking such great care of us!!

A lovely hotel, extremely well located to explore the city of Narbonne and all the city has to offer (museums, shops, Les Halles, local restaurants and cafés). The hotel staff were very friendly and keen to help out. The room was very comfortable and clean. I would definitely book it again!

Cute older hotel. Fairly large room especially for Europe. The cleanliness was acceptable but not great as we found some hairballs around the perimeter of the room, and old dingy grout & caulk in the shower. It was nice having a mini-split for A/C and heat, and the lobby has a cute sitting room to hang out in with some bar drinks available for purchase.

Book a room here; it is good to go. Fellow travelers: a sound European 3-star. Walking distance from the train station with roller baggage. Shorter walking distance to the center of town. Terrific front desk and staff. Clean rooms that smell clean. Old world marble stair case, tiled floors.....I could go on and on. I highly recommend. No wonder this hotel is a Trip Advisor best. Book your room here. Just saying.

Very nice hotel. If I ever get back to Narbonne, I'd stay there again. The staff was very helpful. Location is perfect, near everything but quiet. I had a nice conversation with the night manager after dining at Les Grands Buffets. Now that was an experience.

Absolutely beautiful old hotel with all modern amenities and very friendly and helpful welcoming staff. Delicious fresh breakfast with local and organic items. Excellent location. Exquisitely decorated rooms including an honesty bar. Only a very short walk into the town centre.
