Hotel Pantai di Negombo

A great place to start my small tour of SriLanka. I had a late arrival flight into Colombo so was keen to have a short transfer. This Lagoon Hotel was perfect, only 10mins from the airport, and quite the treat on arrival. Great pool, relaxed environment and of course in the Sri Lankan way, amazing service. The front if house team were very welcoming and helpful and Arusha and her amazing team in the bars and restaurant made us feel very welcome. The food is very good and the lobster and giant Prawns that came straight from the lagoon were delicious. Save yourself for breakfast though! What a feast!! The room was very comfortable, a ceiling fan would have been nice, as the aircon as a little noisy. A few extra amenities in the room would have been appreciated, moisturiser or similar for the silly Englishman who underestimated the power of the sun!! Overall a perfect relaxing start after a very long day travelling. Thank you

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful resort. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was well equipped and comfortable with all the amenities. Nice sea view rooms. This is the best place in negambo if you search a relaxing holiday. Pool and surroundings are amazing. Restaurant staff were friendly and always with a smile. Special thank to chathuranga. And from the arrival to departure Front Office team well cared us. Thank you so much Mr.Prasanna/ Mr.Riyas for your great hospitality. We will certainly come back. Cheers. Nelka & Dileepa

Прекрасное место, чтоб остановиться в Негомбо! Особенно после перелета)) ОЧЕНЬ близко к аэропорту (15 минут на туктуке)! Красивая приотельная зона, просторные комнаты! Есть все необходимое для комфортного отдыха! Вкусный ресторан Sasha в пяти минутах ходьбы от отеля! Супермаркеты, сувенирные лавки, длинная береговая линия в 5-15 минутах на тук-туке! Вкусный завтрак был включён в стоимость! Хозяин отеля-Уди, прекрасный человек! Очень вежливый, участливый, супер-отзывчивый, всегда поможет, ответит на все вопросы, сделает все, что в его силах, чтоб ваш отдых в отеле был замечательным! Обожаю это место, людей! Советую всем и обязательно вернусь сама!❤️ Thank you very much for everything❣️

太舊了，總之斯里蘭卡的酒店Jetwing group除了畫廊值得好評，其他的住過的lagoon 以及lighthouse 都太舊太舊了，而且因為是本土國寶設計師的作品，價格就比較高，不是性價比高的酒店

We stayed here for one night on two dates using the hotel as a transit hotel on arrival and leaving Colombo. This is not really a tourist hotel and more suited to businessmen. The hotel has so much potential for overseas guests due to its close location to CMB airport (15 minutes by car) but needs a lot of repairs and improvements. The overall decor is dark and gloomy. Exterior of building needs painting. The hotel has poor streetscape appeal so on first arrival a guest feels they have made a poor decision however on entering the lobby and met by friendly staff it becomes more reassuring. Lots of doors and passageways make the hotel feel uninviting, dark and old fashioned. Stayed twice and never saw the swimming pool which I understand is somewhere in the hotel. The restaurant food does not suit overseas guests, was expensive with limited choices so we ordered room service twice. Reception staff were kind, helpful and friendly. I hope the owners put some money into refurbishing this hotel as it could be a fantastic hotel for overseas guest coming through Colombo. Until it is smartened up I would only stay 1 night whilst in transit.

Hive 68 at Negombo !! is one experience I shall remember and cherish. Located in the midst of the town of Negombo, it has its advantage of being close to the airport. So, if you are getting in or getting out you could consider planning your stay here accordingly and you’d be pleased with it. About the hotel and its rooms. It’s more of a Bed and Breakfast concept. Ideal for solo or couple travellers. With kids too small I’d not recommend it.  Rooms are neat, well-spaced with decent and clean washrooms. Each room has its own mini veranda with a small sit out, overlooking the lagoon stream, the village and the beautiful St Mary church. The décor all over is kept simple, yet elegant in its own way. Request for room service as per your need and the staff, polite and very hospitable will take care of it. The beauty of Sri Lanka is experienced with the country and its people. To understand this, it is best witnessed. The morning breakfast isn’t of the buffet type, with time they could put it up as an option. You are individually served a fruit platter with a local fresh fruit juice followed by your choice of eggs, accompanied with sausages, bacon, bread toast and coffee or tea. A small yet decent portion to start off your day. The restaurant has a basic menu with mainly a mix of continental and Sri Lankan food. For drinks the local Beer and wine is a good option.A local curry rice is what I’d suggest to include as I found it missing, given the town feel. The portions again are sumptuous and filling. For its location one can explore around the town with ease. Local sight-seeing includes many churches, few temples, a fish market and a beach with a lot of tourist friendly restaurants. This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

Oh it’s a long story of visiting this beautiful Logoon side Resort. We had booked this resort way back in 2021, but Covid2 arrived. We postponed to 2022 but Economy meltdown happened, we booked for 2023 but has to postpone for personal reasons. All this while , the Resort was extremely patient and finally we made it in 2024. Apart from many other Front Office officers, it was ultimately Ms Sachini because of who this trip happened. Thanks to her, and her Manager Mr Muzini Jiffry for their excellent Customer handling. The resort itself is beautifully located on a thin ***** of land with the ocean on one side and Negambo lagoon. Well mowed lawns, beautiful rooms, Pool by the Lagoon, Dining hall with Lagoon view. Their F&B department could have no match. Buffet spreads were amazing. Restaurant Manager Mr Ian was so very cooperative, Chef Anurag always served with a smile. Chef Mahesh was the person who created some amazing dishes on our personal request. Shanika the Restaurant Supervisor made sure we ate well and affectionately served us. Our House keeper was also so efficient. She ensured our neat and clean stay. We were also fortunate to meet the Chairman of Regenta Resorts during our stay. He exchanged some good words with us and asked us to visit again. Overall an Out Of The World experience. We’ve decided to visit this Resort again.
