The Caves

We stayed 3 nights but definitely we could stay more days! The staff is amazing, very helpful, the Chef prepared everyday a vegan meal, the location is unique, the facilities are great! Also the snorkeling experience around the caves was fantastic - thank you Brandon. We will be back soon! Thank you for the Team The caves - One Love!

Just wow. This is the place to go for three or four nights to just switch off and relax. We were in the birds nest room, I think that is what it’s called, absolutely amazing views and room. The food is amazing. I like fact you can help send to drinks etc. The cave dinner omg so romantic. I would rate this 9.5 out of ten. A couple of minor tweaks and would be a 10. It would be nice to have some live music some nights and would be great if the actually bar with oxtails stayed open a bit later. For me this is the perfect 3 or 4 night getaway :) We are staying in their other property Strawberry Hill in August can’t wait!

The Caves was absolutely beautiful! My daughter picked it out as her graduation trip. I was nervous as I had been to Jamaica before but stayed at the Sandals. I do NOT regret it for a minute! It was like we were a part of a family! We met some really amazing people that were staying at the resort as well as that work there. Friends for life I’m hoping! The hospitality was great! The food was amazing! Drinks top notch and the view is incredible! Activities that we took part in were Snorkeling, kayaking, cliff jumping, rum tasting, cave dining and an amazing massage. The rest of the time we spent enjoying the sun, ocean, pool and just relaxed! Thank you to everyone! Special shout out to Brandon aka PK, Earl, Randy, Stacey, Floyd, Omar, Zoom, Elizabeth, Edina (sp?) and many many more!! Everyone was great! Thank you again and we hope to be back one day!!❤️☀️

Great staff. Unbelievable access to the water. Swimming in the caves was neat and mysterious. Looked forward to every meal. We went with my family and two kids to celebrate their high school graduation.

Accommodations and service are not 5 star and do not match the price point. Management is unprofessional and needs extensive training on how to deal with guests. I had dinner at the Cliff Negril and wish I stayed there instead. Decor and design are much more aesthetically appealing and up to date unlike the Caves. Customer service was also great at The Cliff. Save your money and book somewhere else.

I was really excited to stay at this hotel and like many of you, read the 5 star ratings and ended up feeling duped upon my stay. Please pay attention to the low ratings. We experienced many of the same issues. The hotel is dated, landscaping needs serious help, and the rooms need renovations. It appears as if the only updating this hotel has received over the years has been maybe a coat of paint here and there. The accommodations, level of service, and cleanliness did not meet our expectations for a 5-star hotel experience. Despite seeking an upscale boutique hotel experience in Negril, our stay fell short. The initial impression seemed promising with the breathtaking views, but the watermelon ginger welcome drink was bitter and unpleasant to the taste which set a disappointing tone for the rest of our stay. That was the first impression and it wasn’t a good one. While the staff were friendly and the view was impressive, the food was forgettable, and our room lacked the rustic luxury we anticipated from the pictures. It was more rustic and outdated. The way the bathroom tub tiles are designed made the tub appear dirty. That coupled with low water pressure in the shower made for an unpleasant shower experience. We typically book 5 star accommodations when we travel and this place was more like a 3 star. We reserved kayaking and the lifeguard that went with us made us feel like we were inconveniencing his day. He walked really fast ahead of us, and barely looked back when we were following him to the kayak area. I thought we almost lost him at one point. He was ended up taking some pictures for us which was nice, but he just seemed like he would rather be anywhere else. Later on, I asked for his assistance to cliff jump into the water for the first time. He showed me some tips on how to jump and when I asked if he would jump into the water to rescue me if anything happened, he told me he didn’t want to get wet. He then advised me to put on a life jacket. My husband was recording and mentioned that the life guard walked away immediately after I landed in the water and didn’t even wait to make sure I swam back to the ladder safely. This was very strange to me especially considering it was my first time. We later booked a cave dinner which was a great highlight. The ambiance was just magical. The lobster was overcooked but the overall experience was great. Our waiter was very nice and took lots of pictures for us. In addition, we booked the couples hot tub cave experience and it wasn’t what I was expecting. I was expecting a nice hot tub in a cave and It was basically a slightly bigger version of our tub with jets and only two jets worked. It was also located in a walk-in closet size room with two blue shutters that over looked the ocean. The view was nice but the design of the tub looked dirty and uninviting like our room so we didn’t get in. We also booked a couples massage at the spa and my massage was nice but my husband said it was the worst mas

My wife and I spent half of our honeymoon at The Caves Hotel in Negril, Jamaica in February 2024. We had some poor timing with bad weather that severely limited our ability to get into the water and snorkel through the caves, but based on the rest of our experience, we are already planning a trip back to this incredible resort. The food was the best we have ever experienced at an all-inclusive resort. The staff- Zoom, Omar, Floyd, and Melissa were all very friendly and quick to put a cold drink in our hands anytime we saw them. The resort was quaint and beautiful. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing couples getaway!

The Caves was an amazing getaway! The place is very intimate...there are only 12 rooms. Everything was perfect! The staff are lovely. Very attentive and kind. Stacey Ann, St Nick, Randy, OBrian, Zoom were just a few people who made sure we were always happy. Karen, the manager, spoke to us by first name to make sure our trip was going well. We had two spa treatments - Elizabeth and Enid were the absolute best! The rooms are more rustic, but we enjoyed them immensely. There were more than enough places tucked away to lay and enjoy the sun. The food was wonderful, as well! We will definitely try to visit again.
