Nine Orchard

We had an amazing stay at Nine orchard; our room was new and modern, while preserving the heritage details that make the building special. The location was superb, with many trendy bars and shops dotted surrounding the neighborhood. The complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The Swan Room is even better in real life; we enjoyed many evenings there during our stay.

Checked out today from our four-night stay. Pros: Quiet, boutique hotel in beautiful historic building. Our room was compact, but not uncomfortable. The bedding was very nice. The shower pressure was amazing and I enjoyed the products. The last three nights we received turn-down service, which included fresh cookies and bottle water. Not sure why we did not get it our first night. On Thursday I received a phone message that there would be a complimentary wine hour outside the Swan Room. We enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner. The hostess was darling and gave us drink tickets to use at a later time. We love the lower East Side and took advantage of eating at Kiki’s and Cervos, which are a stone’s throw away. We loved the second floor lounge area for quiet time to catch up on some work. Cons: Breakfast was complimentary each morning and the food at Corner Bar, which is incredibly charming, was top notch. There was a complete malfunction on Saturday morning and we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our breakfast, which was unfortunate. On Saturday evening we attempted to have a drink in the Swan Room before bed. We found the staff very disagreeable. They would not seat us at a three-top table, they said, because of reservations. As hotel guests, this was disappointing. Finally, the area outside the Swan Room has an abundance of foliage and, of course, the swan benches. The vegetation must attract rodents because we nearly ran into a rat directly under the bench we were about to sit down on.

We love our stay at the hotel ! Location perfect , close to everything and the neighborhood by its self is amazing ! Cleaning of the room amazing !!! Quality of the breakfast amazing !!! I enjoyed a lot also the fitness room , very well equipped! And every time we need a suggestion from the guys at the concierge and lobby we always found big smiles and great tips ! Really an impressive high quality hotel in Manhattan!!!

A tad off the proverbial beaten track on the lower East side but a gem worth finding nonetheless. Staff just laid back enough. Swan Room cocktail bar is as good as bars can be. The Dining Room and the Corner Bars serve excellent food and the service was just right. The gym is simply gorgeous (almost a shame to sweat in it). The room and bath - with fabulous street view - was a thing of joy and beauty (bed and linen fantastic). They’re not giving it away but then again, why would they? The thought of being able to afford to return is a reason to keep on working.

From the moment you walk in it is obvious this is a special hotel. Not a pretentious lobby but the Swan Bar and Corner Bar make up for it. My room was perfect. Lots of light and clean and well designed. The curtains are black out and the windows keep most sounds outside. Restaurant was great. The architecture is magical and the owners retained it. A special experience!!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was accommodating and friendly, the facility was spotless and the food and drinks was great. I'll definitely stay there again.

If the restaurant had been open earlier for breakfast, I would’ve had breakfast there. I was ready at 7 AM, but they didn’t open until 730.

This hotel is quaint and delightful. The rooms exude warmth and elegance, making for a charming stay. The staff members are friendly and welcoming. While it may be pricey, if it fits within your budget, it's definitely worth the splurge. Overall, a fantastic choice for accommodation!
