Stayed with a friend in October. Got a double room in the second floor. Good price for value. Clean. Extremely well located. Good service. Luggage storage. Bar. Friendly staff. Exactly what we needed.

早朝の便だったので、空港シャトルが便利でした。部屋は古いですが、バスタブがあってよかったです。フロントの方は、とりわけ愛想がいいわけではないですが、かっちり短時間で必要なことをやってくれて、印象良かったです。

Midtown Barat
My family and I stayed at the Park Hyatt New York over a weekend. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay. The Midtown location has good proximity to sites like Central Park and MoMA. There are good restaurants nearby (we really enjoyed The Modern). The room was spacious, clean, and generally well-appointed. Housekeeping did an outstanding job. The reason for rating it a 4 out of 5 is because some of the room features were not working as expected (air conditioning was not very strong and minor issues with the bathroom). Additionally the level of service was sometimes inconsistent. There were definitely bright spots, but also a few interactions that fell short of what we expected. We actually stayed at the Four Seasons Downtown for a few nights right before coming to the Park Hyatt. For anyone deciding between the two properties, they are both great. However, I would give the edge to the Four Seasons based on the overall room / accommodations (Four Seasons is a newer property) and the level of service.

I’ll start with the positive… Check in was easy and the room was a very generous size for the city. It kind of ends there. It was a tough choice to decide between luxe hotel properties in NYC. I settled on the Mandarin because of my extraordinary experience in London. Maybe the bar was set too high by Hyde Park. We got in to the room and felt like a quick coffee before heading out. No coffee setup? We called down and were told it could be provided - on demand?! Really?? Soon enough a Nespresso setup was delivered. How many people opt out of coffee? Maybe that’s just me. Next, showed up for lunch in the bar (I think there is only the one dining option). There wasn’t anyone at the host’s station so we grabbed a seat. Soon enough someone awkwardly asked us to vacate the “reserved” seats and they would check to see if they could accommodate us at another table. Eventually we were reseated. Service was lagging and food was overpriced (as can be expected at an establishment like this). Hotel decor and interiors were all just average. Nothing felt like a wow. No part of the experience felt like it justified the price tag - especially when there is so much competition in this city. My stay at The NYC Edition in March (for roughly half the cost) far outperformed this experience. The Mandarin can do much better than this.
