Hotel Newbury dengan Gim

Fabulous place! For the price point I was concerned this would be disappointing but it was the complete opposite and I'd happily recommend it to anyone. Absolutely perfect for our purposes, close to Newbury for dinner and exploring, and a great place to go back to at night (the £15 cost of a cab was well within our budget). Breakfast was very tasty and organised with a well stocked selection and nice atmosphere. We used the pool and sauna in the morning after checkout which was clean and very welcoming. My ONLY gripe was that check-in was a little rushed and felt a little like a conveyor belt, we had been stuck in traffic and a warmer welcome would have been appreciated. Overall though, a great experience. Well done to the whole team!

Have just returned from a 2 night. 3 rounds of golf trip at Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa. We were a party of 20 ladies and the whole experience was superb. The booking arrangements through Group Reservations were efficient, friendly and seemless (little things like requesting dinner menu choices in advance and then placing cards with each name and menu choice on our dining table each evening, just lovely). Booking in and out was again efficient and friendly. We all appreciated the quality of the rooms (comfy beds, nice bathrooms) The spa and the gym were well used by those with enough energy after each round of golf! The restaurant breakfast and dinner each day was excellent. All in all we coud not fault the hotel and would thank all the staff for looking after us so well. With regard to the golf course itself...it is not especially easy, particularly the back 9 and quite hilly but was in beautiful condition and thoroughly enjoyable. Again the staff at the clubhouse couldn't have been more helpful. We had such a great time that we plan to go back next year for our annual golf trip,

We have been to this hotel before, but this time we saw a sign saying that swimming will incur £5 pp charge. I was gutted that I was not advised, as the receptionist said this new policy took place 2 weeks ago. BUT, when we went to the pool, the clerk told us that if you booked from a different provider (trip.com etc) you have a complimentary pass to the pool. If only we knew the first day. But really happy overall.

We were looking for a spa hotel full board. The reviews for the hotel appeared good. It is not a cheap stay so we expected the best. Generally the stay was great and the spa was very nice except you had to book your 2 hour slot. The meals we good and the service was excellent. Problem was it was only two average size plates of food and anything extra was charged for even bread at £6. I ordered a GnT it was £17 plus a service charge so was in excess of £19. A bit OTT. The room was spacious although very tired. The patio outside had two chairs and a table but the floor was covered in bird poop. The bed base cover was torn and there was no extract in the bathroom. The room definitely needed updating. On receiving our bill by email we noted we were charged over £40 service charge for our dinners. First for us. Would we return - no. The following night we stayed near our family and were in a Young's hotel adjoining there pub in Chertsey. Value for money it was exceptional. A great room with everything one would need an a breakfast with proper coffee and cocktails included all for £125 for 2. Unfortunately no 2 hour spa. Dinner for two £50+. Highly recommend.
