Our stay at Schooner Landing Resort was just barely OK. The unit we stayed in was in disrepair and the furnishings were old and well worn. The shower/tub combo was OK but drained very slowly making it inconvenient to use. The kitchen sink and faucet along with the disposal(non-functional) were barely usable. The appliances were very old. I'm sure at one time it was a very nice unit, but it really showed it's age and need for remodel.

We love Schooner Landing and recommend it to anyone who loves the Oregon Coast. It is 2 miles out of Newport, and is close enough to the ocean that you can hear the ocean from your unit. Many units have a distant view of the ocean. The units are referred to as Cape Cod style townhomes, as they are on two levels, with the living area on the main floor and the bedrooms on the second floor. There are cathedral ceilings everywhere! They are well furnished and comfortable, with plenty of room. You'll enjoy the gas fireplaces in the living room and even in the master bedroom upstairs. This resort would not work for folks with mobility issues because of all the stairs. But it's the best timeshare resort we have ever been to and we will definitely return.

We came down to the coast intentionally to enjoy the stormy weather & the king tides with all the ocean spray from the waves breaking on the rugged Oregon coast line. Mother Nature didn’t disappoint!

This resort should be removed immediately from booking! It is in a beautiful location but the facility is beyond run down. Based on our stay in November 2024, it is well below the standard quality of any other timeshare unit that I have ever stayed at during my 30+ years of owning timeshare vacations. Believe the reviews that list ALL of the issues with this resort. AVOID severe disappointment & book somewhere else. I was embarrassed that we shared this experience with a couple of friends. So disappointed by our stay at this resort.

Resort is falling apart. Outside Paint peeling/ chipping. No insulation, ALL the noise above. Many stairs, No elevators. Inside unit has stairs to sunken LR,dining and kitchen. Uneven cracked walk ways with drop offs of 2 inches between sections of walkway. Fell on face, smashed face fractured nose & glasses into the sidewalk carrying things to car. Trip to ER sueing resort maintenance Co.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Looks like they are cleaning and painting the exterior’s but the interior needs lots of upgrading and maintenance

Cute condo. The pool was being redone while we were there. They did offer passes to the rec center in place of it. The condo was clean but a little outdated. The location was nice because it was far enough to not hear traffic but close enough to get to places easily.

There are no twin beds in 2nd bedroom of this resort, no sofa bed or Murphy bed either. 78 year old women had to sleep on a blow up mattress in the living room. We knew there would be no elevator but we couldn’t be put on the ground floor so us old ladies had to walk up stairs to get to our room. We did have a very nice view of the Pacific Ocean! Please RCI, update your website so people know ahead what this resort doesn’t have! The staff were very pleasant to us.

Not sure what all the bad reviews were about, but our stay here was great! The unit was impressively clean and tidy and our parking spot was right in front of the unit. Although the view was partially obscured by a set of stairs, it was still gorgeous and if we stepped outside and two feet to the left it was unobstructed.
