I stayed for 3 nights. The room, food, and bath were all amazing, exceeding my expectations, so much so that I extended my planned 2-night stay by one night! It's true that some facilities were a bit old, but the room itself, with both the tatami and the bed, was new, clean, and very comfortable. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was delicious and varied; I looked forward to every meal. I will definitely come back again! (o^^o)

The food was delicious, especially the sashimi, soft-serve ice cream, and miso soup – so many tasty options! The hot springs were also very pleasant, and the room was spotless.

Recommended the staff is very nice too🥰

The Location is quite, it's good to the people who want a quiet place. The hotel is old . The other rooms has been renovated but the other rooms is not . . It's a pet friendly . I love tatami and just sleep on a Futon . But the problem is dusty everywhere in the room. I think the management didn't check every room. SOMETIMES OLD PROPERTY IS GOOD BuT CLEANLINESS IS GOOD. This Hotel needs a good cleaner.

We booked a room with beds. But there was only mattress and blankets. There were no even shower in the room. Public bath place was good. But there was so many garbage’s surround the public bath place. Very bad smell in the toilet in the room, and corridors also. There was a mountain view behind the window. But ugly to see there because of dirty windows and balcony . Very dirty room with dusty. So many damages and color shades of walls. Whole the night was so loud from next room, may be drunken people. But we couldn’t inform to the reception. Because of there was not a phone to connect the reception. If there has some emergency situation, should have a telephone line to connect with hotel staff. But at least no phone line in rooms of the hotel. It was the worst night we were in a hotel in Japan ! 私たちはベッド付きの部屋を予約しましたが、実際にはマットレスと毛布しかありませんでした。部屋にはシャワーさえありませんでした。 大浴場の施設自体は良かったのですが、大浴場の周りにはたくさんのゴミが散らかっていました。 部屋のトイレや廊下にはとても悪臭がしました。 窓の外には山の景色が見えましたが、窓やバルコニーが汚れていて見苦しかったです。 部屋はほこりっぽく、とても汚れていました。壁には多くの傷や色あせがありました。 夜通し隣の部屋がとても騒がしく、おそらく酔った人たちでした。しかしフロントに連絡することができませんでした。なぜなら、部屋にフロントへつながる電話がなかったからです。 緊急時のためにも、ホテルスタッフと連絡できる電話回線が必要だと思います。しかし、少なくともこのホテルの部屋には電話がありませんでした。 日本のホテルで過ごした中で、最悪の一夜でした！

It is unimaginable that this is a hot spring inn in Japan, not as good as the third-tier inn in mainland China😒 The rotten carpet (especially the section walking towards the hot spring) has become moldy and smelly, very scary... The cleaning surface in the room at first glance seems very clean 😥 but carefully look at the air conditioner blower and window corner, the accumulation of dirt and dust, simply make me unforgettable impression. The water temperature of the hot springs was not measured properly, and one of the pools was so hot that I couldn't use it at all. The meals... were okay (for less than HK$900 a night for 2 people, you can't ask for too much, it's considered qualified) Overall, if the decoration and cleaning are not improved, customers will hardly have the opportunity to come back.

Getting to the hotel is extremely difficult due to the infrequent trains. If you stay there, only for two or more nights. I stayed for one night and spent too much time getting to the hotel. A shuttle from the nearest station would have been helpful, but there wasn't one. I had to walk uphill with my luggage. The private onsen is a complete disaster, not worth the money. The ceiling is green from mold, something is dripping from a hole in the ceiling. There are insects and the renovation is very old. The rooms are very old-fashioned; they look much better in the photos than in person. The food at the hotel is excellent, and the shared onsen is magnificent.

The food was very satisfying. The hot spring water felt a little too cool. Transportation is quite inconvenient, so if you're traveling by public transport, you should carefully check the bus and train schedules for both check-in and check-out.

The buffet has a wide variety of food, but it seems to be outsourced and pre-made. They've renovated the old facilities, but nothing is wasted and they're environmentally friendly. The water is lukewarm, so I recommend taking a long bath.

The food🍴 was great, the bath was okay, but there was one unfortunate thing I forgot to mention to the front desk. There was a large centipede in my room. I don't like killing things, so I put some insect repellent outside the room.

The breakfast and dinner buffets had a wide variety of options, and the steaks, sashimi, salmon roe, etc. were of high quality and more luxurious than the price would suggest, which was very good. The hot spring and hotel facilities were very old except for the front desk, and the water pressure in the hot spring showers was extremely weak. Depending on the time of day, the temperature of the hot spring was sometimes as hot as a heated pool, and sometimes so hot that it was impossible to get in. However, considering the price, the content was quite satisfactory, and it has good access to the Kinugawa/Nikko area and Nasu, so I think it is a very good hotel if you are looking for good value for money.

I felt there were issues with cleaning the edges of the rooms, such as near windows and on the restaurant floor.

The room has a dirty image. I was scared that the bathroom floor would collapse.

Good atmosphere, delicious food, and a relaxing hot spring.
