Pero buen servicio El estacionamiento innovador aunque si llegas muy tarde después de media noche ya no ingresas. Ended up staying here for a night while on a trip with my wife for a best friends wedding but Amazing service I could not be more satisfied from start to finish even after. Bags were taken in from the beginning straight to our room after check in. Room was clean and with a gorgeous view of the city. Felt welcomed our whole stay. We went down to the pool and towels were easily accessible and great area to swim in and relax. We then decided to have dinner down by the pool which was delicious and service was great. Server was very attentive and polite. At this point I wish we had more time to stay another night. Then ended the night relaxing in bed when we still craved refreshments from dinner and room service was fast. While getting ready to leave the next morning I noticed I left my iPad in the room and when I reached out to a manager through email (Carlos Sosa Navarrete) since calling wasn’t working for me he was really helpful and was able to send a taxi to deliver my iPad to the airport. He was so responsive through email. Honestly best experience I’ve had compared to back home. Don’t have nothing negative to say besides we wish we could’ve stayed longer. I never leave reviews but this place was a must and wasn’t missing an opportunity to let others know of this amazing spot.

The hotel has some good things to offer. The central courtyard has maintained its feeling of antiquity and is thus quite beautiful. And the few fully modernized rooms on the top floor are attractive and comfortable. But for us, the bad outweighs the good. We were a group of seven, and had reserved four rooms. The dates for one of the rooms had to be changed after we had reserved, and one of our party called to make sure that everything was in order (she speaks near-native Spanish) and she was assured that it was. When we arrived, we found that our reservation had been totally bungled. Two of us had reserved modernized rooms with a terrace; we got one of those, while the other party was put in a dark, rather dank room in the corner of the first floor. The third party landed in a room somewhere between these extremes. And the fourth room had only been reserved for one night and not the four we had booked; that person had to find another hotel. When I showed the manager our reservation numbers, he claimed that our friend who had spoken with him on the phone had made these changes and in fact *cancelled* one of the rooms. To add insult to injury, one of our party was told on the morning of our next to last day that they would have to change rooms because another party had reserved their room. They weren't happy, but they complied. When we all returned from a day's activities, it turned out that the hotel staff had asked the *wrong party* to change rooms and now wanted my wife and me to make yet another change. This is where we put our foot down. The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff is very mixed. The bartender is charming, and one of the ladies at the front desk is helpful. But, in general, the staff is neither helpful nor notably friendly--judge by the standards of most Oaxaca hotels and restaurants. If you do go, insist that you stay in one of the modernized rooms on the top floor. And get your reservation in writing! With a professional management, some needed renovation, and better staff training, this hotel might live up to its four star rating. Just for reference, we are frequent visitors to Mexico; we have been to Oaxaca for three of the last four years.

I really liked the charm of this hotel as it’s situated in an old colonial building with a courtyard complete with a small swimming pool. The rooms are basic but air conditioned, which is an essential in Oaxaca! Breakfast is served on a lovely roof terrace; the perfect way to start the day and relax in the morning sun. What’s more, the hotel is very centrally located making it the perfect hub for exploring.

I will begin with the good things- The place is clean and the location is good , but terrible location if traveling on festive dates because the noise goes on all night and early morning. We arrived and were assigned to room 408 facing the side towards the church- we slept maybe for an hour the night October 29th, the band downstairs stopped playing music at 3am- then the cleaning crew around 430am and by 7am the restaurants played loud music - we asked the front desk person (Oscar) if we can get another room assigned and he said no because they were full, so we asked if we checked out after that first night if we would be penalized, he said he would check with the hotel manager, we called again and he said after speaking with the manager they agreed to only have us pay the one night we used- so we found an Air-BNB and pre-paid it for the rest of our nights- later when we came downstairs to check out at 10;30am- we were told they will charge one night penalty in addition to the one night we used, I asked to speak to the manager because that is not what was told to us on the phone- I was asked to pick up the phone in the lobby to speak with the manager- her name is Martha Carrera and she was rude from the moment shed answered the call- she didn't even try to see if she could accomodate us in another room or figure our who and why we were informed differently. The only thing this hotel has is the location and it is clean- But there are so many other beautiful options- I recommend Hotel Cecilia in Xochicilmco, 10 minute walking distance to the center- you avoid the noise, its clean beautiful, has AC , TV and includes breakfast for a little less in cost than this one.
