I stayed here with my wife and adult daughter for four nights. We found it very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is surrounded by woods and lakes. As well as dining in the hotel we tried several of the restaurants next door to the hotel and in Oisterwijk. There is plenty to see in the neighbourhood, such as Kasteel Nemelaer, where we enjoyed delicious hazelnut meringues or the Loonse and Drunense Duinen landscape, a large area of sand-dunes. The car park leaves a lot to be desired, but otherwise a most enjoyable break.

When staying at the hotel we couldn’t fault it. Children stay free if sharing a room, and we had booked to visit Efteling. We didn’t realise but our stay coincided with carnival, for this reason I think we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel (as I can imagine those front facing would be very noisy - there is a huge stage directly in front of the hotel at this time, as well as many food vans and outside bars etc - not that any of this worried us). So our room was on the 5th floor at the rear with a direct view of the multi story car park! (But we didn’t book for a view!). The room was well equipped with a comfy bed and a seperate shower and toilet. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would say regarding the rooms is that they were very dark so it was hard to see your items in the wardrobe. Not a big deal! The staff on reception were really helpful and chatty, and gave us lots of advice. It’s super easy to reach Efteling from here, we walked to the coach station (just by the train station) and there were regular buses. Again children travel free. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. Perfect for brunch/lunch. There is a Taco Bell next to the hotel! My son wanted to try it but we didn’t get chance! The issue for us came out check out, our flight wasn’t until the evening so we asked to use the secure luggage room for our case so we could enjoy our last day. We came back to the hotel to pick up our bag, and make our way to the airport. I was let in to the luggage room to get our case, but it had gone. The staff didn’t know what to do, apart from check and speak to other staff members. Eventually I asked to see the manager as we really needed to leave (fortunately we had been sensible and kept our passports and money etc on us). And I was asking for something in writing to say they had “lost” our case - as I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving with no proof (they also wanted to take the luggage receipts - I think because they wanted to figure out what had happened). The manager was “checking the CCTV” but upon our second request did come out and see us. She did apologise for the case going missing (after a long time!! More hearing about how strange this was?!?) and said if it “wasn’t found” they would replace it. At this point I was getting concerned about travelling home without any of our things, especially with my son, for example some warmer clothes, his switch!! I felt the customer service here was lacking, there was no gesture here - could they assist us getting to the airport for example - She did offer to go to the shop but by this point we were cutting it so fine to get to the airport / which we said to her! We have no time now! It was very disappointing a

This is a lovely hotel - awesome reception, dining and relaxing areas - very luxurious! Service was excellent. Breakfast was tasty with good choices and plenty of seating. Parking was free and good amount of places. The room was a big let down. The good part was the comfy bed and the well set out wardrobe/cupboard areas for clothes and suitcases. The bad part was the bathroom - hair dryer head no longer stayed on, shower floor got super wet after shower (due to door only covering half of shower unit), shower heads were a bit useless for pressure, the bathroom was not clean and didn’t look like anyone had done it properly for a while (see photos). A big disappointment considering the rest of the hotel.

We zijn hier komen logeren met de opening van het hotel in 2018 en viel wat tegen vooral organisatorisch (kinderziektes) en onafgewerkte ruimtes. Nu 6 jaren later zijn we hier voor de 2de maal tijdens ons weekendje te Tilburg. Begon al in mineur toen we een nogal ongeïnteresseerde en zakelijke receptiebediende ons aansprak. Zeer welkom voelden we ons niet. We kregen kamer 409 op het vierde verdiep. Zeer ruime kamer met alles erop en eraan. Prachtige badkamer met inloopdouche en ligbad. Alles was zeer netjes. Fantastische bedden en kussens. Grote flatscreen, ijskast, koffie -en theefaciliteiten. Wel 2 minpuntjes : geen water aanwezig op de kamer en de Nespresso was defect. Gelukkig is er een kleine selfservice in de inkomhall waar je van alles kan aanschaffen. Wat een mooi hotel is dit toch. Heel gezellig ingericht en zo super stil. We hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van de welness, wel even gaan kijken op de zevende verdieping en ziet er allemaal prima uit. Tijdens ons eerste bezoek waren deze ruimtes nog niet afgewerkt. Ook hebben we, na het lezen van de vele revues wijselijk gekozen om uit te eten in Tilburg zelf. Het ontbijt was wel van goede kwaliteit en de tafels werden deze keer op tijd afgeruimd. Ons t****e verblijf was heel wat positiever dan ons eerste bezoek en hierdoor komen we zeker nog eens terug naar dit hotel als we in de buurt zijn. Tips : een Nespresso machine wacht op een onderhoudsbeurt op kamer 409 (loopt niet goed door) en doe iets aan de vriendelijkheid van uw onthaalteam want zij zijn het eerste gezicht van een hotel. A big NO to this hotel with understanding that you are booking a budget hotel: the alarm system of hotel rang 2:30 am on 24 december 2022 for NO reason. We went down, tired and frustrated at night, and finally the caretaker who showed up said nothing was happening, and apparently according to them?? somebody smoked inside his room. NO verbal apologies, no compensations, no discounts ( breakfast vouchers) NOTHING! The whole my life have not seen such an unfriendly customer service hotel in the Netherlands. The expat kitchen /receptionist stuff who could not speak Dutch, but some broken English also did not ask us how our stay was or if we pleased was with their service. We explained what happened, but instead she mumbled a bit. Later I asked to talk to the manager if possible, she said the manger was not available. Other issues: Cleanness: poor. Infront of where the bic row was, just in front of inertance lots of garbage carried away by wind. The same with under beds lots of stuffs and old broken battery...! the terrace ahead of where Bastion name was installed, all were so dirty as if ages not cleaned. One light bulb was broken so our room was darker, the tv remote was not working good, no tissues available at room, no extra towel for the shower ground so you had to use the same towel for the ground while out the douch. The douch pipe was broken and spreading water everywhere. No extra pillows if you wanted to have more higher support while sleeping. You see, these details that you think upon what level why are they so extremally economizing and messy ignorant with?? All in all NO and suggest you also to not.

I booked this hotel again as we’ve liked it on previous trips for the Efteling. On this occasion we found the room to be very good with comfy beds, nice bedding, clean and stylish. What I would wish for at this price is some tea and coffee making facilities. It is ridiculous to have to go to the reception and buy coffee when you’ve paid quite a lot for the hotel. In the evening we ate in the hotel as a large group made up of 3 families. The food was excellent however when we came to pay we were very surprised that we could not split the bill. The bill was €200 so obviously no one wants to pay for all of that! We wanted to make one payment per family ie 3 payments to clear the bill. The staff member said we had to make only one payment in total because we had all sat together. She was a bit rude and we all found this very odd.

Personeelsleden heel vriendelijk, en behulpzaam. En ik bent zeer tevreden met de personeelsleden, ik hebt geen spijt van, en graag zien mij volgende keer. Met vriendelijke groet, Henk kasanradji en vita!!!
