Worst hygiene and even dirty everywhere.

Ubicazione perfetta, in pieno centro così da raggiungere i punti di interesse con molta facilità e vicino alla stazione! Stanza comoda ma sporca! Sotto la tavoletta del water ho trovato lo schifo! La doccia non era da meno, ed infatti non l'ho usata. Perfino i cucchiaini da the erano sporchi ed incollati tra loro. Come punto di appoggio per una notte, può anche andare.

The owner ripped me off. £85 for a dark, dingy, horrible, dirty room. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, it was disgusting. Everything was in poor condition, eg stains on the floor, walls, and bathroom. The decor was black, and the curtains were dark which added to the foulness. The owner acted amused. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for any reason, even if there are no hotel rooms left. I haven’t seen a worse room than this.

I booked this as the Sleep Inn so couldn't find it at first as I wasn't looking for the Ali Inn. The interior is very tired and needs a deep clean, but the bed was comfy. Good central location, but very noisy due to pub and theatre. A wagon was being loaded right outside my bedroom window between 1am and 3am so I didn't get much sleep. The shower stuck on, but the owner was helpful and sent someone round to turn it off. One towel, no bathmat. Perhaps ok for man on his own, but not great for business travel.

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews but this place was an absolute horror show. If i could give this it zero it would still be too generous. I am not joking when i say avoid at all costs. Impossible to find anyone to speak to about the issues whilst there hence the negative review. Even if we could find a member of staff and ask for a different room i suspect it would have been just as bad. Cups on dirty tray actually had previous guests left over hot drinks in, filthy surfaces, walls and carpets. First time i’ve ever not had a shower out of fear i would actually come out dirtier.

Refused refund due to their 7 day cancellation policy. Now being ignored. So not impressed. No parking despite being advertised. Over priced. Guy on telephone was quite rude as I couldn't understand what he was saying due to bad line

Don’t be fooled this is not a hotel by any means it’s like student digs!! Shabby, dated and unclean room. Did not feel relaxed in room at all. Very noisy can hear people in other rooms. All the walls are marked and chipped. No wardrobe, just a hanging rail. Shower dirty and limescale everywhere. Thick cobwebs on curtain rail.

A friend and I had planned to go to Oxford to celebrate Mayday in 2020 but the pandemic meant this didn’t happen. In November 2022 my friend tried to book into the same place but it was full. There weren’t many rooms available and he booked us into the Ali Inn based on the photos. Neither of us read a review until the day before when I did. The majority of the reviews were poor but as we had no choice we arrived not expecting what to find and somewhat concerned. However There was someone to meet us Our room was clean and tidy. There were sufficient towels, toiletries and tea and coffee. Because of Mayday prices had increased everywhere and the Ali Inn was no different but at £260 for 2 nights wasn’t bad. It is a budget hotel. It is centrally located which is good. There is noise as there is a pub opposite and the theatre beneath it. It is a number of rooms up stairs and adjacent to a sandwich business run by the same people. The owner? Manager? Was very amenable helpful and friendly. The room was a good size as was the toilet and shower room. Definitely good for budget travellers who don’t mind noise. Ideal location very central and close to the bus station. Clean. Big towels too! Bed slightly soft and that’s the only slight criticism I have.

£140 for a night. No parking on site, despite being listed under 'Key Offerings'. Clean bedsheets, but that's about it. Location is great, being right in the center, but it really didn't seem worth the money. We spent 1h 40min trying to find parking, and when we did, had to pay £25 for it. Granted it was a Saturday, but the fact the "hotel" were dishonest about the parking situation along with the state of the rooms, really made us adamant to never return.
