Club Trinidad

An old but clean resort with no frills but a good place to stay when exploring the area (only an hour from Joshua Tree)

Great location, friendly helpful staff but this resort was probably last updated in the early 70’s and it shows. Refrigerator was new but stove and other small appliance were functional but old. Bathroom tub was stained, shower was poor for water flow and spray.

It was the most horrible Resort I ever stayed in, the man at the front desk was not friendly at all, it was old and smelled of mildew and we did not feel safe staying there called RCI and had them move us, RCI needs to take this property off their inventory, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy .

The facility was clean. It was very dated. Somewhat run down. There was a musty smell to the room as if it had not been used recently. The hot tub was very small. The pool was clean and inviting. The attendant at the desk was friendly. It was good to get this room because of the golf and tennis tournaments happening while we were there. The rest of the accommodations were very expensive.

Location needs to gutted and remodeled. RCI should review this location and remove it from their resort availability. Everything had not be maintained and all bedding, etc. was 30 years old. After notifying ahead of time that we were going to be arriving midweek, they rented out the room and made us wait to check into our room while it was cleaned.

The resort was totally unacceptable in terms of cleanliness and overall maintenance. We checked out after only one night because of the deplorable conditions. There was no one at the front desk to check us in upon arrival and no directions given on parking or locating the room.

Club Trinidad is very dated, and needs some upgrades. The units have full kitchens. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great and close to downtown. We enjoyed the pools and hot tub. If you aren't into luxury, and into a reasonable cost, this is the place.

Superb location in Palm Springs! An original resort 5 minutes from downtown and with a large Ralph's grocery store/deli right across the street. This resort with the connected Purple room is steeped with History. Stars like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr were regulars from LA back in the day as the resort dates back to the 60's (possibly earlier). The purple room updated and remodeled is still open 60 years later and a very popular supper club which sells out on the nights it is open. Some units have a nice gas FP for the cool winter evenings/mornings. I see updates every time I return. My unit this time had new living room furniture. It is not a Hilton so don't expect one. But it is clean, well located and if you like to be treated special by staff then you hit the jackpot. Special shout out to Edna who runs the show in the office, Don in maintenance is always there for any little issue in your suite, Michael and Dawn at front desk are always there to help you with a smile. Whenever I see poor reviews on this resort, I think that people are being unrealistic given its age and everything it offers for the price! It really is a great place to stay. There are 2 pools and a hot tub..(the pool on my side was heated and very nice. All in all if you are realistic with the units always being updated and the age of the resort you will love it here. I sure did.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Club Trinidad. The units are old and dated, and since we did our research, we knew to expect that. The location is excellent, as is the Purple Room on nights we could go in. Sadly, on Thursday through Sunday nights, entrance to the Purple Room is limited to show ticket holders, so happy hour just steps away from our unit was out. That said, we would have purchased some show tickets, but they were sold out. Everything worked properly in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was clean and comfortable. The internet worked great, and I was working remotely with virtual meetings. If an older resort with friendly staff (shout outs to Edna, Mike, Rick, and Don) in a great neighborhood sounds good, it's worth a try. I should say we would choose a different room in the resort because our bedroom was right next to a space that I believe is lived in residentially and we could hear a lot of talking and TV late at night (we were in 110). Club Trinidad would not be ideal for everyone, but we will return.
