Hotel berhampiran ASTM di Paris

The hotel is not in the tourist spot areas but staying here is comfortable for a solo travellers. The room is very basic but its clean. If u look for halal food, its just a walking distance. There is a Monoprix store next to the hotel for apparel and groceries needs. The bed is comfy even it is simple. The staff is very helpful. What summarise it as it was above my expectations for a budget hotel.

The hostel was perfect for our visit to the capital. After a somewhat slightly off-putting start (the person at the bar asked us to wait / ignored us so that he could finish his inventory, then told us to go to the cash dispenser and pay the three nights upfront as his card reader was broken), the rest of the stay was good, and the other members of staff were very friendly and professional. We had booked a private double room. It is located on the fifth floor (no lift). The room comprises of a double bed, a low table with two stools, and a shower room. There are coat hooks by the entrance (we had brought coat hangers) and two bins. The windows are double glazed, although the one in the bathroom does not close properly. There are thick curtains in the bedroom which keep the light out when needed. As it's a busy street, the noise from the street below is noticeable, and because the hostel is close to the fire station, there are often some sirens. We can also hear when the other guests open their doors, which are very creaky. So to be fair, our sleep has been disturbed a few times, but it comes with being in Paris - the same happened to me in the past when I stayed at some friends' places. The room came with two towels (one medium, one large) and two small bottles of shower gel. There was also a large toilet roll. The two bins have been emptied daily. There are enough power plugs to charge our devices, and free wi-fi. The floor felt somewhat sticky (we had brought flip flops), but the bed and bathroom were clean (the shower room is rather dated but the bed is comfortable). People had complained about the bleach smell in previous reviews so.i.had brought a scented candle just in case, but it wasn't needed. The bedroom door opens with a card, which needs to be reactivated each time you come in, as the metro can interfere with it. The staff happily does it in a few seconds, as they welcome you in each time. The hostel also has a kitchen if you want to cook, but we haven't tried it. The bar on the ground floor seems to have a good selection of drinks. The area is really nice, with the Metro station one minute walk away, lovely cafes and bars nearby, picturesque canal Saint Martin, and we also found a small street market on Sunday morning not too far away. It is easy to walk to and from the centre of town from the hostel. We felt safe in the streets, there are schools and families living in the neighborhood. All in all, it was the cheapest accomodation we found in Paris at the time, and we felt perfectly safe and at home, in a great location. We would happily go back!

The location is nice and close to the metro station, the staff are friendly and great services. The best part is that I made friends who had similar interests and wanted to explore Paris like I did. Would highly recommend for solo travelers the area is safe and convenient to anywhere you want to see within Paris🩷

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. I would have rated it higher as most of the staff are lovely, breakfast is good, rooms are small but comfortable and it’s location is excellent. However, one member of staff was quite surly and never greeted people coming in and out, and said that we would have to buy milk and teabags as they only supplied for one day. That is beyond petty. Asking for a €50 deposit is unusual in a hotel and the same member of staff gave no explanation. Everyone can have a bad day but not if you are public facing.

My friends and I shared a quaint three bed room. We were running late due to delays on our train but reception were quick to answer our calls and concerns and even greeted us with a hot chocolate on arrival. The stay was comfortable and very accommodating. The only slight issue we encountered was the fact that the plug wouldn’t empty in the shower but this was easily sorted by the staff. Overall we had a wonderful stay and it was so nice to jump on the metro outside of the hotel to go explore the rest of the city! Would 100% come back for a short weekend again!

In Paris you tend to get what you pay for so if you book a budget hotel, lower your expectations!! That said, this hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. When I got to my room it was very clean, with a comfy bed and basic looking shower that actually supplied plentiful hot water. The guys at reception were pleasant. They let me drop my bag off prior to check in and let me leave it for a bit after I checked out. For sure there is noise from the street but as a city girl, I was not bothered and it was not excessive. Because the floors are not carpeted (they have new looking lino type floors) the noise from someone upstairs who did not take their shoes off was much more distracting!! The stairs could do with a good scrub to be more aesthetically pleasing but as I wasn't sleeping on them I didn't care. Super close to the Metro at La Chappell and an easy walk to Gare de I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. All in all, much better than I expected and I would stay again

We enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn. It’s just opposite to the station and was very convenient for us to catch our train early morning. It’s also close to the Metro and getting to all the attractions was a breeze.

Un endroit agréable et bien décoré avec un personnel efficace et de bellles prestations. La piscine et sauna est un plus. La literie est confortable. La salle du restaurant est très agréable aussi et l’ambiance est chaleureuse.
