Hotel Aulivia Opera

Situated close to Gare du Nord and lots of bars and restaurants, the hotel is good value. Whilst compact, our room was clean and had everything you might need. Would recommend as perfect location for city break

My stay at Aulivia Opera made me appreciate a bit more all the other 4 star hotels I've stayed in, but I want to start with the positives. To start, the front desk/concierge was very nice, friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable but very very soft - so not for everyone -, and the towels and toiletries were nice. Now the bad things: My room had a shared door with another room and the wall was probably very thin because we could hear them a lot and anytime they did something on the wall (maybe plugging/unplugging chargers) we could hear it. The lights malfunctioned when turning them off. The top shower was very bad, and the handheld was not great. You can hear the street a lot because of the bathroom window, but it's mostly ok. The bathroom has a small humidity problem because it's starting to get mold and the door was damaged from the humidity. And the air conditioning was noisy. All and all an ok stay and good sleep, but I really did not enjoy the shared door and thin wall. This was not the experience I expected from a 4 star hotel, and I'd think this is an expensive 3 star one, and I only half enjoyed my stay

We arrived late in the evening and we were welcomed by the receptionist, who was very friendly and booked us in promptly. We were on the 2nd floor overlooking the courtyard. This meant that we did not hear any of the hustle and bustle that was going on outside. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. A kettle for tea and a coffee machine was in the room. We were also provided with fresh bottled water. The bed was comfortable and the shower refreshing. All in all I could not fault the room or the hotel and the staff. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as we prefer to go outside and find a nice cafe where we can people watch at the same time. The area the hotel was in was great and near 2 metro stations. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable Beds. Gentle and friendly staff. Vivid and friendly neighbourhood with Metro just close - you never walk alone! Several bars, supermarkets and snack opportunities… 24h reception gives a save feeling. Free sweets and drinking water on the way to the room.

Great bohemian fee to the area, so many restaurants and boulangeries. Nice extra touches like free soda streaming. Windows that open. Refreshed room every day. Good breakfast available. Instruction on directions happily and expertly provided.

Though the room (# 203) was quite small, it had everything we needed and expected: clean, quiet, comfortable bed, nice amenities. Location near the train stations and metro, and near needed stores, worked well for us. Breakfast was sufficient. Maurice, at the reception desk, consistently welcomed us when we passed through the area, and showed much attention to ensure our stay was pleasant. Wi-Fi worked consistently well.

The staff and the room was the Best, Best place in Paris. The Breakfast was alway a great pleasure the best selection and the Kusmi Tea was a first and Very warming and gave one energy during the day, Rooms where Very Clean and a homey feeling , All in All a Great Place Will stay here again and tell friends, Thank You

It's a nice hotel for a short stay in Paris. Nice staff and near Metro and the eastern trainstation.
