One of the worst hotel experience ever! Avoid at any cost... and specially avoid using trip.com!!! 1- First, regarding Trip.com: We got charged 25 euros extra just because we reserved through trip.com. I understand that websites need to make money but charging 25 euros PER NIGHT more than the hotel rate is VERY excessive!! We payed 70 euros per night on the website but hotel was sent a bill stating that we payed 45 euros per night!!!! 2- Second, the hotel: very small hotel and neighbourhood not nice. Hotel building and facilities are very old and makes your whole experience very horrible. We waited for at least 30mins to check in, because the manager was busy sorting his reservations... (it was 11h30). When we finally got to our room, there was barely space for us (we were two) to stand. And a bad smell in the toilets. The walls are very thin, so you basically hear everything going in other rooms and in the corridor. The room is very small with no light coming in. We were expecting something more like in the photos but it wasn't the case. After a very long trip to Paris, we had to stay up till 1am arguing with the manager (who wasn't very friendly but understanding I have to admit) to change the room. Even after changing the room to a "bigger one", we weren't feeling comfortable. Everything is old and paint coming off the wall. You don't feel secure at all as they clearly state that if anything is stolen from your room, it's your responsibility. They don't have any safe installed, so basically you can't leave anything in your room. We explicitly asked that no one goes to our room for room service (as we did everything ourselves). When we came back later at night, someone had made up the bed (which we already made...) and some of our stuff were not at the place they were). We reserved for 4 nights, we stayed there only for 2 because we couldn't handle all this stress while being on vacation. They refused to refund us because we reserved through trip.com, saying that it's for the website to refund us.... I hope this review will help you make a better choice than we did and have a pleasant stay in Paris, stress-free. To sum it: DON'T RESERVE VIA TRIP.COM (THEY CHARGE WAY MORE THAN HOTELS) DON'T RESERVE AT THIS HOTEL, YOU WILL NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE
