First all of all, their service and hospitality is top notch, not only are they available and quick to respond to you 24/7 , every single day they would send us recommendations for food and things to do. Our room itself was truly a home away from home. We were so comfortable and got the greatest rest so far this trip here and the laundry in room is so helpful!

Solo traveled to Chongqing in August and stayed at the Accolade for 3 nights. I do not speak Chinese so the language barrier may be understandably difficult for some, but had no issues during my stay using Google Translate. Rooms were clean and modern with a smart toilet which is really nice to have with plenty of room for two. Some minor spots that could use some patching but not an issue at all. The gym, while simple, is more than enough for a traveler looking to fit in some exercise time. The provided laundry room was very nice to have since it was very hot during my stay. The highlight of my stay would have to be the breakfast. I really appreciated the variety of dishes available from your classic eggs and toast to bao buns, fried rice, Szechuan beef! Location is just up the hill from the major shopping areas with many places to grab a bite or enjoy the views. I would recommend the Accolade Hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Jiefangbei area.

I had an incredible stay on the 28th floor! The room was exceptionally wide and spacious, giving us plenty of breathing room. The view of Chongqing from this height is absolutely spectacular, especially at night when the city lights up. Everything was sparkling clean, and the housekeeping did a fantastic job. The location is also perfect—there are so many great restaurants just a short walk away, making it easy to find something delicious at any hour. Highly recommended!

Nestled in one of Chongqing’s oldest suburbs, this hotel is an aesthete’s dream. My arrival was smooth thanks to the porter and hotel staff who met me at the closest drop-off location. Having WeChat and adding the hotel was a lifesaver. While English wasn’t widely spoken (except by the manager), the staff always seemed to understand my needs and requests. They were incredibly attentive and friendly. The room was stunning, as shown in the pictures. It was spacious and meticulously designed, truly a dream to stay in. As part of the booking, they offered a complimentary photoshoot. This was a unique experience and I jumped at the chance. Zihao, my photographer, listened to my needs and captured some incredible shots. These photos are a cherished memory. The breakfast staff were so friendly and a delight to see in the mornings. Despite not speaking English, one of the girls made a real effort to communicate. I surprised the hotel manager by asking him to organise a last-minute driver for the whole day to a remote town. He had it organised within 30 minutes. Another example of exceptional service. The only downside is the nearest Didi drop-off location is a bit of a downhill walk to the hotel and back. It was fine for me but those with mobility issues might find it tiring. I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a beautiful sanctuary in such a fast-paced city. I can’t wait to return.

STAFF APPRECIATION: I would like to thank Xiao Yang, Xiao Yi, and Master Li for their care during my stay. They were kind, professional, warm, patient, and proactive. They were also incredibly accommodating with my inability to speak more than a little Chinese. Xiao Yang even made a point to speak English with me during breakfast and checkout. Master Li was very tolerant with my last-minute requests for pickup and drop off and Xiao Yi quickly located and added me on WeChat to allow us to chat more comfortably. As it was raining, she even met me by the car with an umbrella when I arrived. I felt quite pampered! DIRECTIONS: To reach the hotel requires a few transfers. It's not too troublesome and is well worth it! 1) I arrived at the Wulong South Railway 🚉 and followed the exit signs outside. 2) To the left was the large blue bus 🚌 mentioned by another reviewer. It will take you to the Fairy Mountain Visitor Center for 16 yuan. From here you can reach the most popular tourist destinations in Wulong to include the Three Bridges. 3) Outside the center you’ll find another blue fairy bus which will take you to the mountain itself for an additional 8 yuan. This bus will stop at the gate where tickets will be checked. Be sure to contact the hotel and give them your information before you set off because the cost of this ticket is included with your stay! They will reserve the ticket for you and send you confirmation and any relevant information. Otherwise, it is 50 yuan per person. 4) This bus will drop you off at a plaza with a few shops and the boarding platform for the scenic train. 🚂 Contact the hotel and someone will come to pick you up, as private vehicles are not permitted beyond this point. REVIEW: If availability and your budget permit, I cannot emphasize strongly enough how much it is worth it to splurge on the room with a 270-degree view of the property. I went on a foggy, wet weekend and still found the view incredible. The windows cover three walls. I can only imagine how amazing the sky must look on a clear night. The minibar has a good selection of free snacks and drinks and a sampling of the local tea. Meals are also served at the hotel. The cost is not low, but for the exclusivity of the location, I considered it more than fair compared to what I’ve paid elsewhere. Also, the dishes looked and tasted great. There are also vendors down the hill where the train and shops (show in the picture below) are located. Look for the sign identifying the train exit and go down the steps. These were the only places I saw to purchase food, drinks, or supplies once you pass the entrance to the mountain, so plan accordingly. By the way, tickets for the scenic train were included with the reservation as well. I highly recommend it. It stops at the grasslands and the horse stables. Now, I will allow the pictures to speak for me. TLDR: Multiple transfers lead to a place that is secluded and picturesque and right in the heart of the mountain. That means your dining choices will also be limited, but the meals provided (at a cost) were delicious. Tickets to the mountain and scenic train are included in the price. A photo session is included as well, but I did not utilize it. I recommend setting out earlier to miss the worst of the crowds. The staff is amazing and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The room with the 270-degree view offers the best experience. 10/10 recommend for those seeking quiet and the peace only nature can bring. 🏞

Overall it was a pleasant stay and the service was good. The staff were polite and helpful, and check-in/out was smooth. The location is also convenient for getting around. However, the room lighting was a bit dark, and the furniture feels slightly old, so the room didn’t feel as refreshed as expected. Still a comfortable stay overall, but I hope the hotel can improve the lighting and update some furnishings in the future.

Excellent service. Excellent location. Near the BRT (which we took only once). The service apartment is located in a block (that also had another hotel entrance), where the entrance to Fandiao is hidden from the main road. But aside from that, the building is noticeable and is the first tall building just before the viewing deck for the Qiansimen bridge and just before Hongyatong, as traffic flows (one way). My specific booking for this room was for a Saturday night - a one night extension - and we chose the Hongyatong view, as our original room was already booked. We could see the massive crowds from our window view out there at and around Hongyatong and on the Qiansimen Bridge on the May 1 weekend But the previous 4 nights, we were booked under my husband's name, and that room allowed us to see the drones show from the comfort of our large and beautiful room. That first room had a wall-to-wall window, that allowed us a view of the river, a block of apartments right in front of us, and some street views. There are pros and cons to different rooms. The drone show is on weekends. If you are not on weekends, the HongYa Tong view is nicer, but only my first room (which was much larger at 40 sq metres) had a long window seat which was lovely. I share a few photos, one with a view of Hongyatong (this booking, and from the other room, where we could see the drone show. Remember they are different rooms. But you could easily come downstairs and watch the drones from the little corner outside the lobby. There's still a crowd, but you could see the drones rising to the sky. The customer service was excellent, for some reason, we were first given paper disposable towels in our first room, and I rejected that for cloth towels which were then given to us. The reception is on the 19th floor, and all the service personnel were willing to please (communicate via WeChat, with translation). And always asked if there were things they could do. Some idiosyncrasies (from a Malaysian view). They have glasses in the room but no cups/mugs for making tea the conventional English way, but the customer service brought cups with handles when we asked for them. No tea or coffee sachets provided but there were bottles of water and soft drinks, which we didn't take. I think it may be the context where soft drinks (in th fridge) were deemed more suitable and glasses were provided more for soft drinks. I had brought some 3-in-1 coffee sachets all the way from home just in case, that seemed providential when we checked in. Corridors in front of the lifts on the floors are motion sensored, so we were at first surprised by the darkness when the lift opened, but we got used to it. You have to decide whether you support energy efficiency or not. 😂 All in, we had a memorable time in Chongqing, thanks also to Fandiao. I would go and stay again and recommend it. Just bear in mind that the road right in front of the hotel is closed to the traffic at night on weekends (and likely public holidays). Plenty of food nearby, and beautiful spots for photos. There's also a Lawson store across the bridge 100 metres away where we bought our sandwiches, buns, oden, and coffee, for snacks.

MIXED REVIEW — PLEASE READ IN FULL. First, the positives: the location and price are excellent. It is a boutique-style hotel with a distinctive colour scheme and aesthetic, which is what initially attracted me from the photos. In person, some parts of the corridors, carpet and lift area looked a little faded, but nothing terrible. The hotel is inside a multi-purpose building and located on an upper floor. There is no food provided, which was completely fine for me because there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. I stayed for two nights. I initially had some trouble getting the air conditioning to work. One staff member was very kind and helpful. When I had trouble with it again later, another staff member came down to assist, which I appreciated, although her tone felt slightly condescending. The room decor itself was decent, but the rug was a little dusty and the room did not smell especially fresh. It was not bad, just not particularly fresh. On my second day I joined a day tour offered through the hotel. I understand this was operated by a third party, but the tour itself was genuinely excellent. I had a fantastic time and would happily recommend that experience. Unfortunately, the most serious issue happened at checkout. One staff member had previously helped take some photos of me, which I genuinely appreciated, and she actually took them quite well. At checkout, she gave me a small gift bag and asked whether I would leave a positive review. I said yes, because at that point I was genuinely planning to write a positive and detailed review myself, including many photos. However, while I had my phone open, she took the phone from me. Within a matter of seconds, she selected five stars across all categories, typed a very short positive review herself, and submitted it before I had approved or even properly seen what she had written. I was extremely shocked. The review said something along the lines of “intelligent lobby thoughtfully laid out,” which did not reflect what I personally wanted to write and did not meaningfully describe my stay. What made this especially frustrating was that I had already told her I wanted to write a detailed review and upload photos. After she submitted it, I said I wanted to add many photos. Another staff member tried to help, but the main review had already been submitted. The first staff member also appeared to know that Trip.com generally does not allow guests simply to rewrite a submitted review. This entire interaction happened in under ten seconds while she had my phone. My issue is not that the hotel asked me to leave a positive review. I had already agreed to do that. My issue is that a staff member took control of my phone, selected the ratings herself, wrote the review herself, and submitted it in my name without my approval. I contacted Trip.com immediately. Their customer service took the issue seriously, contacted the hotel, and the hotel subsequently apologised and acknowledged that a staff mistake had occurred. Trip.com also helped restore my ability to leave my own review, which I greatly appreciated. I want to be fair: without this incident, I probably would have left a generally positive review with photos. The location is excellent, the price is very good, the hotel has a distinctive style, and the tour experience was fantastic. But hotels should never take control of a guest’s review. If a hotel provides genuinely good service, guests will naturally leave good reviews. A positive review written by the actual guest, in their own words, is far more valuable than a generic review submitted on their behalf. So this was a mixed experience overall. There were things I genuinely liked, but the review incident left a very bad impression and undermined my trust in the hotel.
