JJuan Manuel CaldaroniIt was great!!!!! We stayed there for two nights, and the room was very comfortable and clean. Wifi worked perfectly. But the best was the owner that was very friendly and hospitable at all times, preparing us breakfast and even his father took us to the river bend!! Then he even booked the bus to FeiLaiSi for us, and accompanied us to take it. Thanks so much, we really appreciate it and wish you all the best!

PPengguna TetamuI booked this hotel without knowing that it is known for and it was a good surprise from almost every perspective of my experience. The staff in Sunyata are very friendly, well presented and treated us with their trained professionalism as well as friendliness. Both the hotel and room interior are designed thoughtfully and by later reading the magazine that was left in the room I realised that it was meant to be a masterpiece which I think is what has been achieved with no efforts spared. The top floor enjoying a 270 degree unobstructed view of the snow mountains obviously is the cherry on the top of the cake, and it absolutely delivered and truly made the stay in the hotel one of the most unforgettable experience in Meili. The amenities are nicely provided in good quality, and the beddings feel comfortable and clean. The food we had in the attached restaurant was delicious and the interior is also a masterpiece 24 hours in a day. The only shortcoming that I can say about my experience is that the food in the self served area for the breakfast became empty with still about one hour to go, and staff seemed unbothered or even intended to do so. Overall it is a beautiful boutique hotel which was beautifully designed and operated with a high standard. I would like to revisit if I can.

PPengguna TetamuLovely hotel with great view, although the weather was not good during the two days we stayed, we still had a great time despite not seeing the full meri mountains. They had promotional activities during the 5/1 holiday where we hand painted tongka, and made ******* weaving stone accessories. The staff was kind and polite. The design of the architecture is stunning, I would recommend all couples to stay at this hotel. The only downside is that nighttime dinner options are very limited, recommend guests to walk out to nearby premises to have dinner instead. The breakfast at this hotel was nice.

TT.estI spent just one night here, making a side trip from Shangri-La to catch the sunrise over Kawagarbo peak at Meili Snow Mountain.
The room was small but comfortable—perfect for one person. The electric blankets kept me warm and toasty in the freezing weather, especially since the room heater (an A/C unit) was quite small and took a while to heat up the space.
The location was ideal. It’s only a 5-min. walk to Feilaisi Monastery, which made it easy to reach the Feilai Temple Viewing Platform. The Meili Snow Mountain National Park Scenic Area lookout point is about a 15-min. slow walk away, in a more touristy area where you’ll also find street food and restaurants.
Breakfast is served at the small onsite restaurant. I enjoyed a bowl of vermicelli soup and a cup of hot soy milk. You can choose from several noodle options, and there were dumplings on the side as well.
When I checked out early in the morning, it was snowing, and visibility was poor. The owner noticed the foggy weather and kindly offered to let me return to my room if I changed my mind about exploring and preferred to rest instead. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and consideration.
Overall, I had a good stay here.

PPengguna TetamuThe service is super nice, they have pick up service from Deqin tunnel to the hotel. Hosts are friendly who ask whether you need help often. The location is sick, you can directly see the snow mountain from the balcony. That would save loads of energy going out and back. Amenities are clean, making us feel comfortable staying. One point to note, their food is so nice, not expecting to have these qualitied meals up the hill.

RRosa09As one of the rare solo travelers to Meilin, our check-in process took a little longer than usual since the staff wasn’t entirely familiar with handling overseas guests (They probably wasn't used to seeing non-locals HAHA). That said, they were extremely accommodating—they kindly invited us to rest in our room first and even enthusiastically helped carry our (very heavy) luggage upstairs. Despite our late arrival around 10 PM, the staff patiently waited for us and assisted in unloading our bags from the car, which we greatly appreciated.
The hotel itself was clean and cozy. Our room was spacious and well-heated, including a warm bathroom that was a real comfort in the chilly weather. Water pressure and hot water was good. While our booking was for three people, the room was initially stocked with toiletries for two—but this was quickly resolved with a simple call to the front desk.
A standout feature was the smart AI assistant (Xiao Du) in the room, which was perfect for those who enjoy convenience—controlling lights and music hands-free was a nice touch. Location-wise, the hotel is well-situated, just a short 15-minute walk to Feilai Temple. The photos on Trip were accurate, and while there wasn't a strong mountain view from our room, it didn’t detract from the overall pleasant experience.
Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort, and convenience, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.

LLinda PuiJust to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain.
Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather.
The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time.
One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit.
All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

PPengguna TetamuIt started off not too well. Our driver took us to a wrong hotel, a hotel which was grander, more beautiful and it faces the Meili Mountain! We were so disappointed when we found out that that was not the hotel we booked.
Even though Deqin Zangshan Yunju Hotel is not facing the Meili Mountain, it does provide shuttle to the viewing platform. The lady driver was waiting for us to take us there before the sunrise. It was a good thing too, our own guide and driver failed to show up to take us there!!!! When one can only see the sunrise on Meili for 67 days out of 365 days a year, it came as no surprise that we did not see the sunrise due to cloud cover. All is not lost though since this hotel faces the Baima Mountain and we did catch a beautiful sunrise from the hotel. The 4th floor rooftop is perfect for that. We had the 270 degree room which offers a fantastic view, but the windows were not cleaned as well, so taking photos from the room was not as good.
The breakfast was adequate. It would be nice if they could prepare a bit more. I am sure if I asked, they would make more for me though.
No regrets staying at this great hotel. The hotel is located close to the Fellei temple.

The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal.
The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity!
Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure.
One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!
