MMax_S02Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here.
The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve.
Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China.
The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down.
I would not hesitate to stay again.

We were graciously upgraded to a room that offered an uninterrupted view of the majestic Meili Snow Mountain, allowing us to take in its quiet grandeur from the comfort of our own space. It was a gesture that did more than offer convenience—it created a sense of peace that stayed with us throughout our time there.
The service staff were nothing short of extraordinary. With every interaction, they brought warmth, grace, and a genuine desire to make us feel at home. Their quiet attentiveness and heartfelt hospitality added so much depth to the stay, turning each moment into something memorable.
This is a place that leaves a mark on your heart. I will miss it dearly and carry the memories with me until I return again. I look forward not only to my next visit, but also with great anticipation to discovering their new estate in 雨棚, which I’m sure will be equally enchanting.

Xxia0tangDidn’t expect this hotel to be so luxurious. The room looks abit small in pictures but in real life the room is HUGE. The service is also very good and we felt welcomed when we arrived after a long journey. The breakfast buffet is great as well. Its so far the best breakfast I had throughout my trip in Shangri-la. There’s steak, rice noodles DIY counter, and other tasty varieties. Worth coming back here again!

XxanixxIf you are looking for one of the most affordable ways to wake up to the breathtaking sight of the Meili Snow Mountain, look no further than FANSU at WUNONGDING. Our stay here was nothing short of incredible.
The primary reason for our visit was the sacred Meili Snow mountain, and the view absolutely delivered. Waking up to that majestic panorama right outside our window was a highlight of our entire trip. For the value, it's an unbeatable location.
The hospitality here is what truly sets FANSU apart. The staff are super helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel not just like guests, but like family. They created a homey and comfortable atmosphere that made it hard to leave.
A special memory was made on our last evening when the staff taught us how to sing the beautiful ******* song ”FLY” by ANU. It was a spontaneous, joyful moment that we will cherish forever. A super big thank you to them for that!
Regarding the food: we found the meals to be absolutely yummy and comforting. While we've seen some comments about the dinner being expensive, we found it perfectly reasonable for our usual dining expenditure, and more importantly, the quality and taste justified it. The breakfast was also lovely and set us up perfectly well for the day.
We left with full hearts, amazing photos, and great memories. If you want an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience facing the Meili Snow Mountain, we cannot recommend FANSU highly enough.

PPengguna TetamuSadly, the stay disappointed us. The reception was not very friendly, we asked for help with booking our bus to yubeng, but they didn't really help us. We heard from others that their hotel was much more helpful, and in general we so far had more helpful experiences with the hotels in china. Additionally, there were two condoms in our room which we found unpleasant.
The rest of the room was fine, small but you get what you pay for.
PS: Mountainview for the room means top floor view of the mountains, not always from the room itself only for the more expensive ones. (Was our mistake but is confusing)

LLinda PuiJust to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain.
Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather.
The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time.
One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit.
All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

SSangeetNagrehthe hotel was in a stratigic location so was easy to walk to some shops nearby and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Also the hotel is near the viewing deck for early morning viewing of the sun rise. Beatiful scenary of the snow capped mountains from our room. Very clean rooms and facilities are excellent.
The breakfast was modest but tasty and very traditional.
The staff are freindly and helpful.
A nice place to stay on your travels to Meili snow mountains.

PPengguna TetamuI had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect—just about 20 minutes from the busy town center, which makes it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I woke up to an amazing mountain view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing day.
The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal.
The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity!
Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure.
One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!
