I booked this hotel without knowing that it is known for and it was a good surprise from almost every perspective of my experience. The staff in Sunyata are very friendly, well presented and treated us with their trained professionalism as well as friendliness. Both the hotel and room interior are designed thoughtfully and by later reading the magazine that was left in the room I realised that it was meant to be a masterpiece which I think is what has been achieved with no efforts spared. The top floor enjoying a 270 degree unobstructed view of the snow mountains obviously is the cherry on the top of the cake, and it absolutely delivered and truly made the stay in the hotel one of the most unforgettable experience in Meili. The amenities are nicely provided in good quality, and the beddings feel comfortable and clean. The food we had in the attached restaurant was delicious and the interior is also a masterpiece 24 hours in a day. The only shortcoming that I can say about my experience is that the food in the self served area for the breakfast became empty with still about one hour to go, and staff seemed unbothered or even intended to do so. Overall it is a beautiful boutique hotel which was beautifully designed and operated with a high standard. I would like to revisit if I can.

客棧坐落在金沙江河谷，海拔衹有兩千米，獨攬金沙江S彎風景，這裏居然呈現舒適的地中海季風氣候，漫山遍野橄欖樹，也是葡萄酒生產佳地。我是躲避梅里雪山高反發現這裏的，意外的驚喜！客棧是藏家原本自住打算，建完後發現太大了改為客棧，整個建築臨江而建，園林式設計，主樓設計與耗材頗為費心，格局恢宏大氣豪華精緻，耗時三年，用資不菲。最為可貴的房東禮佛，虔誠善良，給人賓至如歸之感。

What you see is what you get - or even more! This place is truly a sanctuary designed and curated with great intention. We rested well after coming back from our yubeng hike. we arrived late at 930pm, however I managed to order my dinner with the hotel via WeChat, and they heated it up for us after we arrived even though the kitchen closed at 730. we had the chicken mushroom hotpot, a Yunnan classic and very well done there. The staff offered us hot milk for the night too :) The room is beautiful and comfortable and spacious. there is a tub which we could have a good soak after hiking. Breakfast was great too with options for coffee and butter yak milk. we stayed through the morning in the lobby area, browsing their books and merchandise. The staff also patiently introduced us to the various linden centre projects, various wines that is produced in the region and let us try some before we left. Knowing that we were taking a train to lijiang, she even checked if we arrived safely. Highly highly recommend. So value for money :) can't wait to return!

Had a wonderful 2-night stay at this hotel! Really appreciated the thoughtful touches: from the complimentary afternoon tea with a stunning view of the Meili Snow Mountains, to the comforting goodnight soup, daily fruit and snacks, and even a lovely souvenir to bring home. These little details truly made the whole experience extra memorable! The family room was warm and spacious for 3 adults, with a great view of the landscape. Our only minor quibble was that the bathroom/toilet door had quite a noticeable gap.

Didn’t expect this hotel to be so luxurious. The room looks abit small in pictures but in real life the room is HUGE. The service is also very good and we felt welcomed when we arrived after a long journey. The breakfast buffet is great as well. Its so far the best breakfast I had throughout my trip in Shangri-la. There’s steak, rice noodles DIY counter, and other tasty varieties. Worth coming back here again!

This is a beautiful guesthouse and the best location to stay to see the golden sun reflection on Meili snow mountain. We enjoyed the good view, the well equipped room, the breakfast and the best coffee here. The boss and all the staff are so warm and nice, the boss is also the one who serve us with breakfast and very welcoming. There is lift in this place unlike many other guesthouse homestay we have been so far. Highly recommend this hotel guesthouse though it’s slightly more expensive, the location and the convenient is worth it.

If you are looking for one of the most affordable ways to wake up to the breathtaking sight of the Meili Snow Mountain, look no further than FANSU at WUNONGDING. Our stay here was nothing short of incredible. The primary reason for our visit was the sacred Meili Snow mountain, and the view absolutely delivered. Waking up to that majestic panorama right outside our window was a highlight of our entire trip. For the value, it's an unbeatable location. The hospitality here is what truly sets FANSU apart. The staff are super helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel not just like guests, but like family. They created a homey and comfortable atmosphere that made it hard to leave. A special memory was made on our last evening when the staff taught us how to sing the beautiful ******* song ”FLY” by ANU. It was a spontaneous, joyful moment that we will cherish forever. A super big thank you to them for that! Regarding the food: we found the meals to be absolutely yummy and comforting. While we've seen some comments about the dinner being expensive, we found it perfectly reasonable for our usual dining expenditure, and more importantly, the quality and taste justified it. The breakfast was also lovely and set us up perfectly well for the day. We left with full hearts, amazing photos, and great memories. If you want an authentic, warm, and unforgettable experience facing the Meili Snow Mountain, we cannot recommend FANSU highly enough. Just to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain. Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather. The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time. One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit. All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

As one of the rare solo travelers to Meilin, our check-in process took a little longer than usual since the staff wasn’t entirely familiar with handling overseas guests (They probably wasn't used to seeing non-locals HAHA). That said, they were extremely accommodating—they kindly invited us to rest in our room first and even enthusiastically helped carry our (very heavy) luggage upstairs. Despite our late arrival around 10 PM, the staff patiently waited for us and assisted in unloading our bags from the car, which we greatly appreciated. The hotel itself was clean and cozy. Our room was spacious and well-heated, including a warm bathroom that was a real comfort in the chilly weather. Water pressure and hot water was good. While our booking was for three people, the room was initially stocked with toiletries for two—but this was quickly resolved with a simple call to the front desk. A standout feature was the smart AI assistant (Xiao Du) in the room, which was perfect for those who enjoy convenience—controlling lights and music hands-free was a nice touch. Location-wise, the hotel is well-situated, just a short 15-minute walk to Feilai Temple. The photos on Trip were accurate, and while there wasn't a strong mountain view from our room, it didn’t detract from the overall pleasant experience. Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort, and convenience, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.

I had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect—just about 20 minutes from the busy town center, which makes it wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Every morning, I woke up to an amazing mountain view that instantly set the tone for a relaxing day. The property itself is stunning, especially the vineyard, which adds so much charm. I loved the free wine tasting sessions, and the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality truly made the experience feel personal. The food was excellent, with every meal prepared thoughtfully and bursting with flavor. For those who love a bit of adventure, the ATV facilities are a fantastic addition. We also enjoyed grape plucking right in the vineyard—such a unique and fun activity! Overall, this place is a perfect blend of tranquility, great service, and memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with a touch of adventure. One small issue I had was that the air-conditioner was blowing warm air, but after I informed the team, they fixed it within a short time. Great service and quick response — really appreciated it!
