CCJ12A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen.
We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed.
Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel.
All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

PPengguna TetamuThis was my first stay at Mandarina Colombo.Hotel. The hotel was located in a convenient location, across from Marino Mall and there were many eateries as well as a convenient store nearby.. The hotel room was very spacious and clean. However basic amenities like bedroom slippers and iron were not provided. I do hope the hotel would look into this. Apart from this, the service was superb, very friendly and attentive staff. Being a Muslim, I love the fact that the room was well equipped with the Kiblat ( Prayer ) direction, the Quran as well as a prayer mat. I was also glad that the breakfast spread was good, delicious and very accomodating in respecting racial and religious differences by serving vegetarian dishes as well as halal food only. I will certainly recomnend this hotel to others visiting Colombo, Sri Lanka. Abd eill not hesitate to come back and stay at Mandarina Colonbo again. I simply love it!!!

A very special thank you to Mr Gajan from the Bell Service. He kindly accompanied me during check out and patiently waited with me for quite some time until my taxi arrived. His warmth, attentiveness and dedication made a lasting impression on me and truly represent outstanding service.
The in room dining was also excellent and of very high quality. Unfortunately I caught a cold during my stay and could not explore everything, but I will definitely come back.
A true five star experience. Highly recommended.

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE WONDERFUL STAFF AT THE RESTAURNAT AND THROUGHOUT THIS INCREDIBLE HOTEL YOU MADE OUR STAY TEH BEST EVER IT WAS MOST WODNERFUL AMD WE CANNOT WAIT TO COME BACK AND STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN VERY SOON AND TO MEET AND ASLO BE SO VERY WELL LOOKED AFTER ONCE AGAIN BY THE WONDERFUL RESTAURANT STAFF. BBeeshman BahiradanHotel Nippon Colombo offers a decent stay with a few hits and misses. The rooms were okay — fairly clean, but could use some updating in terms of decor and maintenance. Service was polite but a bit slow at times, and certain amenities felt a little dated.
That said, the food was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant really impressed us with flavorful Sri Lankan dishes and a variety of options that felt authentic and well-prepared. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the meals consistently stood out and were the highlight of the stay.

D with non alcoholic freshly made juice for my self and my littlest extremely accomodating at such a late hour breakfast was a buffet setup with. Oth Western European and traditional Sri Lanka cuisines and we still pretty much could order anything anyway - my daughter wanted western style eggs fried sunny side up on toast cracked them right there in front of here the view was incredible from our room you could hear the ocean crash against the rocks only wish we could have stayed longer really good people place service was exceptional- you. E nice they be nice easy peasy xox
