"Although I checked in late and missed the sunset, the location was fantastic. I stayed in a Signature Plus Seaview Twin Room this time. The amenities were plentiful, and the shower pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was also delicious. However, I recommend dining indoors for breakfast. On the terrace, birds (crows) were eyeing the food. While the staff were constantly vigilant, some guests still had their food snatched when the staff weren't looking. The adjoining shopping center isn't particularly large, but it's perfect for a post-meal stroll or to kill a bit of time. The main reason I chose this hotel was definitely the infinity pool! Since it was the rainy season, I took advantage of breaks in the weather to use it, and it was truly amazing. I wish I could have stayed for two or more nights to enjoy it more leisurely. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and I would love to stay at this hotel again."

I have experienced the hospitality of Shangri-La at other parts of the world and I was hopeful that it would be the same. They did not disappoint. Right from Masood at the door to Dileka at breakfast and Waruna at the Concierge , our every need was met, and then some! It’s fully accessible if you have reduced mobility , and everyone who works there is constantly thinking ahead, so that you feel comfortable. The location is beautiful, the food is amazing and the hospitality is truly exceptional. I’m very grateful to the entire team for ensuring we had a memorable holiday."

"The hotel room offers a direct view of the seaside train, and there are convenient amenities within walking distance such as supermarkets and restaurants. It's quite convenient. As soon as you enter downstairs, all the staff are enthusiastic about helping you with your bags and with security checks. I also noticed that flight crews from Emirates or Qatar Airways stay at this hotel. The window seats in the breakfast area have a perfect view of the seaside train passing by, so the location and view are excellent. Thanks to the hotel, we have a wonderful memory of our trip to Sri Lanka."
