Our wedding team at World Class Wedding Venues loved staying at the Fosshotel Westfjords in Iceland. Our wedding team of experts explored the Westfjords and the Fosshotel was a nice break from all of the travel. Loved this place. Patreksfjordur is just a quaint and beautiful little town to spend some time in. Our room had a fantastic view of the fjord and breakfast was one of the best we had in Iceland. Room was quiet too, we both had a great night of sleep. There's a couple restaurants within walking distance. The red sand beach and cliffs are both relatively close and I'd recommend doing both if you've made it this far!

What a fantastic retreat in the Westfjords! We chose this hotel to be close to the bird cliffs to see the puffins and it was a great choice. The owners were super friendly and helped figure out the best time to see the puffins. We had dinner in the restaurant that was a baked fish dish and skyr with berries for dessert. It was FANTASTIC. I wish I had the recipe so I could make it myself. Breakfast was also great. The room was large with great views. We were able to walk down to the sandy beach. Despite it being in the 40s, it felt like a beach in the Caribbean. The cliffs are about 30 minutes away but its a very, very rough drive so be prepared. My husband really enjoyed talking to the owner about his experience owning the hotel and the history of the place. We would definitely stay here again if we come back!
