Shalom Backpackers Rishikesh

During our first anniversary celebration in Rishikesh, my wife and I had the misfortune of staying at Shalom Backpackers Rishikesh. Unfortunately, our accommodation experience was severely disappointing. Upon arrival, we were allocated a room that bore no resemblance to the one displayed on their website. The room was minuscule, with the bed occupying approximately 70% of the space. Basic amenities like a mirror were conspicuous by their absence. The hospitality, or lack thereof, was alarming. When I requested early morning tea, it was not delivered. A subsequent visit to the reception yielded no results, as there was no one available to attend to my needs. Despite waiting for 15 minutes, no staff member emerged to address my concerns. To add insult to injury, the contact number provided was out of service. When I requested a simple glass of water, the response was identical – no delivery, no staff, and no accountability. The management's excuse for their incompetence was a lack of staff to assist guests. This justification rings hollow, considering we had paid for services that were not rendered. Overall, our experience at Shalom Backpackers Rishikesh was subpar, and we would advise fellow travelers to exercise caution when considering this establishment.

I was here with my friends. Booked bunk bed. Overall a nice place to stay. The ganga ji view is amazing. Outdoor space is available to relax and chill with friends. They have in house cafe type sitting area. Staff is good. Overall a good experience.

I really like to stay in shalom very helpful treat Friendly and super helpful staff - they define the vibe of the hostel above all. Liked the cafe, the view from the cafe, the food. It's nice that the hostel is by the river. The room size is small, but I suppose that's because this is a budget friendly place. The room has internet enabled TV, and my son loved that.thank u

A very nicely built and maintained property, the hotel location was perfect for exploring the area and the amenities provided exceeded my expectations. The staff Mr. Kuldeep and Mr. Aayush was very much helpful, courteous and polite. Overall i highly recommend this place and look forward to staying there again. Thank you 😊😊😊
