Hotel Pearland dengan Gim

So the good- The bed was comfortable, very good air conditioning, quiet, bar attendant was attentive, wait staff attentive. The bad- Housekeeping was absent everywhere but the lobby. I am not indicating the every 3 day room cleaning as I don’t need daily attention. The fifth floor hallway had the same debris in it all week to the point I daily greeted the rubber, wrappers, and cello wrap. The carpet in my room was very dirty (someone had hole punched a document and punches were always on my feet. I had them room clean and I got fresh towels, no change to the condition of the carpet. I have been a Diamond member for quite some time and know they changed breakfast to a $10 food and beverage credit. Fine, it is nickel and diming, but fine. They credited this once in 5 days. No problem. I go to the front desk, the attendant wasn’t trained to fix this. She says she will fix, email me a corrected receipt, and give me a call to let me know it is done. Great! Other than it never happened. I have been struggling to get it corrected and a correct receipt for my expense report. Corp says on hotel can do it, hotel says only corp can do it. This is a third poor Hilton stay in the last few months. Colleagues have been having similar issues. Sorry, three strikes and guess who will not be aspiring to be Diamond or any other status next year.

We stayed here while in town for a wedding. When we walked in, we were surprised they had signs up apologizing for ”6 months” construction that started early May...this was last weekend in December?!? It looked like they had several more months work ahead of them. We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the updated rooms, however our mini frig. sat ”wonky”, hated the pillows & bathroom sliding door was very difficult to open. The bathroom fan was SUPER loud & didn't have a separate switch, so it came on every time you turned on the light. I don't understand why they didn't install a separate fan switch- especially when getting up during the night to use the bathroom & that LOUD fan comes on waking everyone else in the room?!? Our room was clean, but only 2 tissues in the box- we had to go steal a box off the housekeeping cart. Their free breakfast was excellent with eggs, sausage, French toast sticks, make your own waffles, breads, pastries, yogurt, juice & coffee. Restaurant area under construction so moved to a conference room. Will probably be nice when finished, but probably not up to normal Hilton standards & ADD A SEPARATE FAN SWITCH in the bathroom!!!

I like it because it is easy access off of Hwy 35 going into Pearland and the building and parking are tucked back into and well away from road noises. I feel safer when staying in Pearland as compared to other parts of the near Houston areas. The rooms are comfortable and normally noise free. I've had one visit in the last year where I had a stomper upstairs above me (ugh!!). The beds and pillows are wonderful!

We have stayed in this hotel before and had an excellent experience. This time was totally different. We had a room on the 4th floor. Exiting the elevator there was a musty smell in the air. The carpet was horribly dirty. Our room did not have the AC on when we arrived and now I know why. It did not work properly. We tried to turn it on and it would not come on. When to the front desk and told the staff person the room would not work for us because the AC did not turn on. He told me to turn it on at the wall instead of the unit. Went back up and tried the wall thermostat. It did not even light up. My husband went down and the front desk staff came back with him and tried the unit. It would not turn on. He pushed on the wall plug and it finally came on. Was told that the cleaning people have a tendency to pull the cord out. The unit ran for awhile and went out. My husband messed with the unit and cord and after about 15 minutes got it to come back on. Good thing we were checking out at 3:30 am because throughout the night we had to keep doing this. When you stepped out of the shower it felt as if you were going to fall through the floor. I'm assuming the floor was repaired poorly. The beds were comfortable. Would I stay here again? NEVER!!! We mentioned our problems when we checked out but all we received was, ”I'll write a maintenance request.” No apology, didn't seem to care at all.

I stayed here over the weekend to visit my daughter who lives nearby. The check in was fine but then things quickly went down hill from there. Many of the lights in the room didn’t work and neither did the TV. I can deal with limited lighting but I had to have TV so I called down to the front desk. The same attendant who checked me in, Adina, rudely answered the phone in an irritated manner and hung up on me before I could fully explain my concerns. Maintenance was sent up to my room and the guy was incredibly nice and helpful but he couldn’t fix my TV. So they had to move me to another room. Adina’s horrible attitude impacted my trip for absolutely no reason at all. Guests should be able to call the front desk without worrying if they will annoy the staff. Especially for the more than $335 I paid for two nights. I didn’t feel very welcome because of her.

Pros - clean hotel, friendly staff, convenient location Cons - elevator broken for my entire 4 day stay and room was on the third floor, wasn't comfortable taking the stairs late at night, gym was out of order, and lock on hotel door did not latch which made me uncomfortable and caused me to have broken sleep. Was told my rates would be adjusted due to all of the above but that was not the case. It was only discounted for the first two nights. I mentioned to front desk and they shared that they will advise management and adjust my bill. Well, that never happened. Would have left but all nearby hotels were not available for my remaining stay due to the many graduations in the area. Will not frequent again.
